CARE AND MAINTENANCE/CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Before beginning to assemble or install lighting fixture, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list.
If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 6 minutes
Tools required for Assembly (not included): Pencil, Ruler, Phillips screwdriver and Drill with 1/4 in. bit.

• CHARGING THE BATTERIES/CARGA DE LAS BATERÍAS
Remove the isolation tag from the bottom of top housing to allow battery be charged. Allow solar panel to receive 10-12 hours of
full and direct sunlight. Allow the light to run at least 8-12 complete charging and discharging cycles to reach batteries’ maximum
capacity.

• REPLACING THE BATTERIES/REEMPLAZO DE LAS BATERÍAS
The included rechargeable batteries will usually last two years. Replace batteries only when you notice the
performance of the solar light is weaker than its normal operation in the first year.
To replace the battery, remove the lens and battery compartment cover from the deck light. Replace the old
battery with a fresh 1.2V AA Ni-CD or Ni-MH solar rechargeable battery. Note: A minimum capacity of
900 mAh is required. Ensure the battery is installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -). Replace the
battery compartment and lens.

Keep debris and snow off the solar panel to allow the batteries to recharge. If lights have been covered by snow for a long time,

1. Pull preassembled lens (B) off deck light (A) and remove the pull tab from between the battery and the
terminal. Re-attach lens (B) to deck light (A).

3a. Wood Installations:
Insert the screws (AA) into the drilled holes and leave at least 1/4 in. of the screws (AA) outside of
the surface. Then, attach keyholes of deck light (A) to heads of screws (AA).

Insert the plastic anchors (BB) into the drilled holes so they are flush with the surface. Insert the

deck light (A) to heads of screws (AA).
