3. Keep anyone not wearing the appropriate safety equipment away from the work area.
4. The unit should be located as close as possible to the water supply.
5. Locate the unit on a solid and level surface so that the engine and pump crankcase oil
lubricates the components properly.
6. Avoid areas where water can build up in the working area.
7. Locate the unit in a well-ventilated area and away from flammable materials or fumes.
8. Locate the unit so that the operator has easy access to the pressure washer and its controls.

SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. All users must understand the operation of all controls and learn how to quickly stop the unit
in case of emergency.
2. The engine and exhaust become very hot during operation. Severe thermal burns can occur
on contact, especially with the muffler.
a. Keep the unit at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from buildings and other equipment
duringoperation.
b. Remove accumulated debris from muffler and cylinder area. Combustible debris, such
as leaves, grass, brush, etc. can catch fire if they come in to contact with a hot engine.
c. Allow the muffler, engine cylinder, and fins to cool before allowing the unit to touch
grass-covered or brush-covered unimproved land.
d. Do not operate the engine without the muffler. No muffler or a muffler that leaks can
permit an increased exhaust noise level.
3. Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain conditions. Do not smoke or
allow flames or sparks where the unit is refueled or where gasoline is stored. Refuel in a well-
ventilated area with the engine stopped.
a. Do not refuel the unit while the engine is running. Allow the engine to cool for
twominutes before refueling.
b. Fuel vapours are extremely flammable and may ignite after the engine has started.
Make sure that any spilled fuel has been wiped up before starting the unit. If gasoline is
spilled, move the unit away from the area of the spill and avoid creating any source of
ignition until the gasoline has evaporated.
c. Do not operate the engine when an odour of gasoline is present, or other explosive
conditions exist.
4. Do not place anything on the unit while it is running.
5. Do not use this unit on any forest covered, brush covered or grass covered unimproved land
unless a spark arrestor is attached to the muffler.
6. To prevent hand or arm injury, always pull the starter cord rapidly to avoid kickback.
7. Never allow the pump to run for more than a two minute period without operating the gun.
This will cause pump damage due to excessive water temperature and void the warranty.
8. Never run acids or hard caustics (such as lye) through the pump.
9. Always use citrus based detergents. Never use chemicals or agents which are not compatible
with the polyvinyl or neoprene covering of the hose.
10. Never use water with a temperature over 37°C (100°F).
11. Check for leaks. Tighten connections if necessary.
12. Check for missing O-rings in the couplers.
13. Do not let children operate the unit, and do not allow anyone who is unfamiliar with the
pressure washer to operate it without proper supervision.
14. Never remove the warning labels. Pressure washers provide safe and dependable service
if operated according to instructions. Read and understand the owner’s manual before
operating your pressure washer. You can help prevent accidents by being familiar.
