Note
Pay attention while riding, keeping your eyes and
clear mind on the road. Some features are locked out
to prevent distraction, limited in capability while the
Motorcycle is in motion. Even a part is available, do
not allow it to distract you from operating your
Motorcycle safely.
For safety, program the system when stopped.
Perform system setup and get familiar with the
controls and features of the infotainment system
before operating the Motorcycle on the road.
This system cannot warn about the safety of an area,
bad road conditions, and availability of emergency
services.
Use this radio only in locations where it is safe to do.
Do not select a volume level that blocks out
trac noise or interrupts the concentration
necessary for the safe operation of the Motor-
cycle. Distractions or a volume level that
blocks our trac noise could cause loss of
control resulting in death or severe injury.
Set volume levels and other controls on
audio and electronic devices before riding.
Distractions can lead to loss of control,
resulting in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a potentially hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, could result

Use only HD-14KIT recommended products
and methods to keep the radio, speakers, and
other audio system components clean and in
good condition.
Do not use any abrasives, polishes, or rubbing
compoundsto clean the screen or other
components. Do not use any ammonia-based
cleaners on the net.
The use of other products or methods may
cause damage to components.
Do not use any chemical cleaners or
chemical-containing wipes or cloths.
These can cause damage to the screen
surface.
Gently clean the display glasssurface with a
clean, dry microfiber cloth. Before cleaning, it
is suggested to remove any visible dust, dirt,
sand particles with a gentle compressed
airstream.

Installation
REMOVAL OF ORIGINAL HEAD UNIT
Street Glide
To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause death or serious injury, remove main
fuse before proceeding.
4. Remove upper support bracket. Removal of the
upper support bracket requires removing 11 screws:
4.1) remove four 5/32 allen screws
attaching the bracket to each speaker
enclosure (1)
4.2) remove two T25 screws attaching the
bracket to the inner fairing adjacent to
the gauge cluster (2)
4.3) remove four T25 screws attaching the
bracket to the head unit chassis (3)
4.4) remove one T25 crew attaching the
bracket to the media compartment (4)

1. Remove three outer fairing bolts using a T27 Torx screw
driver. The three outer fairing bolts are located below the
windshield. Remove the windshield, store it and the screws
removed in a safe place for re-installation later.
TIP: Reinstalling the center screw after removing the
windshield will prevent the outer fairing from falling during
the next step. A few turned by hand will be sucient.
2. Remove four inner fairing bolts using a T27 Torx screw driver. The four inner fairing bolts are locate
adjacent to each turn indicator mounting bracket and below/adjacent to each speaker. Store these
screws in a safe place for re-installation later.
3. While straddling the front wheel fender, grasp the outer fairing, remove the center outer fairing
bolt from the previous step, then gently pull the fairing apart from the bike. With the fairing slightly
pulled away from the bike, disconnect wire harness for the headlamp and any other accessories. Lay
the fairing on a protected flat surface to prevent damage.

5. Disconnect electrical connections to the head unit.

5.1) Remove the main wire harness connector (1). To remove the main wire harness, depress the latch lock
with a small flathead screwdriver and swivel the latch aside. Pull the wire harness connector to remove
from the socket.
5.2) Remove the USB cable connector (2). To remove the USB cable connector, depress the locking tab
with a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the USB cable to release it from
the socket.
5.3) Remove the radio antenna cable connector (3). To remove the radio antenna cable connector,
depress the locking tab wiht a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the
antenna cable to release it from the socket.
5.4) Remove the GPS antenna cable connector (4). To remove the GPS antenna cable connector, depress
the locking tab wiht a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the antenna
cable to release it from the socket.
6. Remove four head unit mounting screws using a 3/16” hex driver. Two screws are located at each
side of the headunit chassis. Store these screws in a safe place for re-installation later. Pull the headunit
assembly up and forward to remove.
5.5) Remove SiriusXM antenna cable connector, if equipped (5). To remove the Sirius XM antenna cable
connector, depress the locking tab with a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab,
pull the Sirius XM antenna cable to release if from the socket.

Road Glide
To prevent accidental vehicle start-up, which could cause death or serious injury, remove
main fuse before proceeding.

1. Detach each turn signal / indicator light by
removing the adjacent allen socket screw,
using a 3/16” allen head driver. Store these
screws in a safe place for re-installation later.
2. Remove four inner fairing bolts using a T25 Torx
driver. Two inner fairing bolts are located below each
glove box, adjacent to each wind deflector. Store
these screws in a safe place for installation later.
3. Remove four windshield bolts using a 1/8”
allen driver or Philips screw driver and remove
the windshield. Also remove factory vent by
pulling straight up on the vent. The vent comes
snapped in place. Store the screws in a safe
place for installation later.
4. After removing the vent, locate and unplug the 3-pin
wire harness for the left and right side turn signal
indicator. These harness’ are adjacent to each side of
the head unit.
5. Remove an additional inner fairing bolt with a T27 Torx or 5/32”
allen driver, one behind each speaker grill. Remove the speaker
grill by wedging a plastic/nylon pry tool between the inner fairing
and grill edge, popping it outward. Once these bolts are removed,
the outer fairing will be detached from the inner fairing. Store
these screws in a safe place for installation later.
6. While straddling the front wheel fender, grasp the outer
fairing. Gently pull the fairing apart from the bike. With the
fairing slightly pulled away from the bike, disconnect wire
harness for the headlamp or any other accessories. Lay the
fairing on a protected flat surface to prevent damage.
7. Remove two upper support bracket screws using a 3/16”
allen driver. Store the bracket and screws in a safe place for
re-installation later.

8.1) Remove the main wire harness connector (1). To remove the main wire harness,depress the latch
locking tab wiht a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the USB cable to
release it from socket.
8.2) Remove the USB cable connector (2). To remove the USB cable connector, depress the locking tab
wiht a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the USB cable to release it from
socket.
8.3) Remove the radio antenna cable connector (3). To remove the radio antenna cable connector,
depress the locking tab wiht a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the
antenna cable to release it from the socket.
8.4) Remove the GPS antenna cable connector (4). To remove the GPS antenna cable connector, depress
the locking tab wiht a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab, pull the antenna cable
to release it from the socket.
9. Remove four head unit mounting screws using a 3/16” hex driver. Two screws are located at each
side of the headunit chassis. Store these screws in a safe place for re-installation later. Pull the headunit
assembly up and forward to remove.
8.5) Remove SiriusXM antenna cable connector, if equipped (5). To remove the Sirius XM antenna cable
connector, depress the locking tab with a small flathead screwdriver. While depressing the locking tab,
pull the Sirius XM antenna cable to release if from the socket.
8. Disconnect electrical connections to the head unit.

Installation
1. Install trim ring and left /right bracket into the location of the HD-14KIT head unit.
Note: Please use the screws in package.
Install trim ring use TA 4X10mm screws.
Install bracket use TM 5x6mm screws.

2. Install HD-14KIT into the location of the OEM head
unit. Secure the chassis to the OEM mounting
location with the four bolts removed during the last
step of REMOVAL OF ORIGINAL HEAD UNIT section
using a 3/16” allen driver.
3. Connect the USB and radio antenna cables disconnected during removal of the OEM headunit to the matching
sockets on the back of HD-14KIT. If either are difficulet to connect, verify the oriention of the connector(s) is
correct. If any aftermarket audio amplifiers will be used in the audio system, take a moment to connect the RCA
cables to the corresponding audio outputs. Although not required, if the Bluetooth calling microphone will be
used, secure it to the desired installation location, then route its cable to the corresponding input on the back of
HD-14KIT.

4. Insert and lock the male ISO head unit wire harness connector to the female socket of the included wire harness
for HD-14KIT. Then, insert and lock the male connector of the HD-14KIT wire harness into the corresponding
female socket on the back of HD-14KIT.
5. If an alternative handlebar integration module other than Scosche is available, skip this step and proceed to step
6. If included, connect the Scosche handlebar integration module to the corresponding 12-pin and 14-pin
connectors on the wire harness of HD-14KIT.

6. If an alternative handlebar integration module is available, cut the wires leading to the 12-pin and 14-pin
connectors and discard them. Follow the color coded call-out below to connect the wires of HDHU.14+ wire
harness to the corresponding inputs and outputs of the alternate handlebar control module.
7. If an alternative handlebar integration module is available, cut the wires leading to the 12-pin and 14-pin
connectors and discard them. Follow the color coded call-out below to connect the wires of HD-14KIT wire
harness to the corresponding inputs and outputs of the alternate handlebar control module.

Settings
Main Menu
HD-14KIT is a headunit for Motorcycle with
the following functions:
Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto®, Radio, USB, BT
Music, Phone .
Touch the corresponding Mode icon to enter
playing mode. The Mode icon in gray means
the corresponding function is not ready, or
the proper device has not been connected.
During initial power on, the unit will
show the Languages setting interface,
select the required Country and
Language, then press “√” to enter the
main menu.
Setup, to enter the Settings Menu.
Time, to enter the Time Settings Menu.
Dimming, to change Daylight or Night.
EQ, to enter the Equalizer setting
menu.

Touch the icon to enter the Setup menu.
The Time Settings allow the user to set Date & Time.
The Setup menu is included Time Setting, Sound
Setting, General Setting, Wallpaper Setting.
Sound Setting
Below shown is the Sound Setting Menu.
Beep: set the Beep tone is ON or OFF.
Reverse Vol: adjust the Vol value is 0-30.
EQ: Set Balance/Fader & Equalizer.
Balance/Fader:
Loud: set the Loudness is ON or OFF.
Touch the “ ” or “ ” of Balance /Fader to tune for
the driver and passenger preference.
The value of Balance (Left12-Right 12) and Fader
( Front 12- Rear 12).
Touch Reset to set both Balance and Fader to 0.
10-Band Equalizer:
Subwoofer:
10 Band of EQ tuning, slide the EQ bar to tune
each band frequency level according to user
preference.
Touch Reset to set all Band to０.

Select the region: America/ Europe/ Eastern
Europe/ Japan / Southeast Asia /Latin America /
Asia / Australia.

OFF: select required Led light color: White / Red
/ Orange /Blue / Green / Purple / Cyan.

Language: Select the desired language.

Wallpaper:
User can select the preset wallpaper for
prefer background.
Reset Factory Data: Once selected,the unit will
prompt to confirm reset to factory settings.
Once confirmed the system will automatically
reboot.

Android Auto®:
You can operate Android applications with
finger gestures such as tapping, dragging,
scrolling, or flicking on the screen of this
product
Starting procedure of using Android Auto
1 Connect an Android Auto™ compatible
device to this unit via USB.
2 Touch the Android Auto icon.
The Android Auto home screen appears
• The Bluetooth connection with the Android
Auto compatible device will be terminated
automatically if Android Auto is turned on.
• Hands-free phoning via Bluetooth wireless
technology is not available while Android
Auto is on.
Note:
• You can use Voice function by touching
button once Android Auto is activated.

product.

Certain uses of the iPhone may not be legal
while driving in your jurisdiction, so you must
be aware of and obey any such restrictions. If
in doubt as to a particular function, only
perform it while the car is parked. No feature
should be used unless it is safe to do so under
the driving conditions you are experiencing.
• iPhone with iOS 7.1 or later is required.
Update to the latest iOS version before use.
• Apple CarPlay can be used on iPhone 5 or
later.
• For details on compatible models, refer to
the compatibility list on the support site on the
back cover.
• For details about Apple CarPlay, refer to the
manual supplied with your iPhone, or visit the
website of Apple CarPlay.
• Since the GPS on your iPhone is used, place
your iPhone where it can easily receive a GPS
signal
• The Bluetooth connection with the Apple
CarPlay compatible device will be terminated
automatically if Apple CarPlay is turned on.

device to this unit via USB.

screen differ among the connected devices.
To enter the Apple CarPlay mode, touch Apple
CarPlay icon on the Home selection screen.

RDS will allow you to display information such as
traffic status, radio station name and more.
The unit can automatically switch to the strongest
station based on the similar program.

Store a Station
1 . Tune radio to desired station.
2. Touch and hold the one of the preset station
for more than 3 seconds, then the preset button
will be highlighted on the screen,and the preset
station will be stored.

Short press to skip previous track,
Long press to fast rewind.

Connect your phone to the unit using the below
steps:
1. Turn On the Bluetooth of the mobile phone and
HD-14KIT. Access the Bluetooth connection
interface in your phone.
2. Search for Bluetooth devices from phone. You can
see the HD-14KIT, select the HD-14KIT for pairing
and connection.
3. The phone will pop up the pairing code and click
"pairing" to complete the connection.
Connect the unit to your phone using the below
steps:
1. Turn On the Bluetooth of the HD-14KITand Phone.
Access the Bluetooth connection interface in your
unit.
2. Search for Bluetooth devices from unit. Select the
desired device for pairing and connection.
3. The phone will pop up the pairing code and click
"pairing" to complete the connection.

If the Bluetooth is not connected, press Reconnect
the paired phone or paring to pair the new device.
Bluetooth Phone
Make a call
Touch the Phone icon in main menu to go
to Phone mode. After the mobile phone
is connected with the source unit via
Bluetooth(HFP), user can through the
source unit to make a phone call. Please
note it needs to connect the microphone for
phone call.
This unit allows for hands free calling, using your
phone’s Bluetooth connection to the unit, you’ll be
able to dial, answer, access phone book .

1. Touch the icon to enter below screen.
2. Using the keypad, touch 0-9,*,#, enter the phone
number you wish to dial. If you input
an incorrect number, touch the icon on the
keypad to delete the incorrect number.
3. Once the correct number appears on the
screen, touch the icon. To go to dialing
interface.
4. To end the call, touch the icon
on the screen.
If the Phone is connected with the source
unit via Bluetooth, when an incoming call,
below screen will be shown:

AutoTM will not start
Please pull out the USB and restart
the headunit
Replace the cable.
Device needs to be unlocked.
Device needs to be powered ON
for Apple CarPlayTM/ Android
AutoTM to function.
Allow it to charge and power on.
Unplug the device, close all Apps
and plug it in again.
Make sure the device is within
range.
Device’s Bluetooth connection
needs to be turned ON.
Go to Setting>GeneralSetting>BT
> BT Connection>Power ON.
Pair and connect the device like
new.
Once the USB current is
overload the maximum
limit, the headunit will
protect by itself.

Press RST button on the panel by
penpoint, then, power on
