1 Safety instructions and Conformity
1.1 Conformity
The device has been manufactured and tested in accordance with the standards and directives set out in the
enclosed certificate of conformity.
1.2 Safety instructions
• When using the device in surroundings with increased safety requirements, the corresponding regulations
must be observed.
• The device may only be operated with the included power adaptor or power cable.
• Be sure to hold the plug, not the cable, when disconnecting the monitor from an electrical outlet.
• If the power cable, the power adaptor or its cable is damaged, unplug the device immediately from the
electrical outlet and keep it from inadvertent operation. The device may only be operated with a power ad-
aptor or a power cable in perfect conditions.
• If there is any reason to believe that it is no longer possible to operate the device without danger, it must
be immediately unplugged from the electrical outlet and kept from inadvertent operation.
• In carrying out maintenance work, it is essential to heed the instructions in the chapter “Maintenance and
servicing“ of the operating instructions.
• Do not operate the device in an area subject to explosion risks or caustic atmospheres.
• Take care when handling with liquids, that no liquid is split into the inside of the balance, on connections
of the device, on the power cable or the power adaptor. Should this although happen, unplug the device
immediately from the elctrical outlet and keep it from inadvertent operation. The device may only be ope-
rated again after a re-check made by a service technician.
• The device may only be used for weighing of solid materials, of liquids filled into secure containers, and
for running applications designed especially for the device (e.g. animal weighing or density determinati-
ons).
• Do not exceed the maximum permissible load of the balance.
• When using the device in combination with other appliances made by the balance manufacturer as well as
with appliances produced by other manufacturers, the current regulations for the safe use of the relevant
attachments and their application in accordance with instructions must always be observed.
DANGER
Before connecting the device to the mains, be sure that the operating voltage stated on the device and
on the power adaptor or power cable agrees with the local mains voltage. If it doesn‘t, the equipment
must not be connected to the mains at all! In this case contact the Customer Service.

If any damage or injury occurs, liability and responsibility rest with the user.

3.2 Activating the configuration menu
The basic adjustment of the balance is defined in the configuration.
• Press «ON/OFF» to switch the balance on.
• Hold down the «MENU» key continuously during the start-up process (which takes about ten seconds) un-
til „UNIT-1“ appears in the display.
• You can now change the configuration menu.

This table shows the content of the configuration menu.
3.3 Activating the application menu
The balance application programs are called up using the application menu and adapted to the user's needs.
• Press «MENU» after the start-up procedure has ended in order to access the application menu.

3.4 Special operating keys
3.4.1 The tare key
•Activating taring
– Briefly press «T»
•Range selection
– Hold down «T»until „RANGE FINE ON” or „RANGE FINE OFF” is displayed, than release
– If „RANGE FINE OFF” is selected the balance is working only in the coarse range and therefore the read-
ability is 10 times lower than in the fine range.
•Activating calibration
– Hold down «T»until „CALIBRATION” is displayed, than release
•Activating an automatic repeatability test (ART)
– Hold down «T»until „REPEATABILITY TEST” is displayed, than release

•Print out an individual value or a report

1 Sicherheitsanweisungen und Konformität
1.1 Konformität
Das Gerät wurde gemäss der in der beigelegten Konformitätserklärung aufgeführten Normen und Richtlinien
gefertigt und geprüft.
1.2 Sicherheitsanweisungen
• Bei Verwendung des Gerätes in Umgebungen mit erhöhten Sicherheitsanforderungen sind die entsprechen-
den Bestimmungen zu beachten.
• Das Gerät darf ausschliesslich mit dem mitgelieferten Netzadapter oder Netzkabel betrieben werden.
• Beim Trennen des Gerätes vom Stromnetz, das Netzkabel von der Netzsteckdose trennen und dabei immer
am Stekker, niemals am Kabel ziehen.
• Wenn das Netzkabel, der Netzadapter oder dessen Kabel beschädigt ist, das Gerät unverzüglich vom
Stromnetz trennen und gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb sichern. Das Gerät darf nur mit einem einwandfrei-
en Netzadapter oder Netzkabel betrieben werden.
• Wenn aus irgendwelchen Gründen anzunehmen ist, dass ein gefahrloser Betrieb des Gerätes nicht mehr
möglich ist, so ist es unverzüglich vom Stromnetz zu trennen und gegen unbeabsichtigen Betrieb zu si-
chern.
• Bei der Durchführung von Wartungsarbeiten müssen die in der Betriebsanleitung unter Kapitel "Wartung
und Pflege" aufgeführten Hinweise unbedingt beachtet werden.
• Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen und ätzenden Atmosphären.
• Achten Sie beim Umgang mit Flüssigkleiten darauf, dass keine Flüssigkeit ins Innere des Gerätes bzw. in
Anschlüsse auf der Geräterückseite, den Netzadapter oder das Netzkabel gelangt. Sollte dies trotzdem ge-
schehen, das Gerät unverzüglich vom Stromnetz trennen und gegen unbeabsichtigten Betrieb sichern. Das
Gerät darf erst nach Überprüfung durch einen Servicetechniker wieder betrieben werden.
• Das Gerät darf ausschliesslich zum Wägen von Feststoffen, von in sicheren Behältern abgefüllten Flüssig-
keiten sowie zum Ausführen von eigens für das Gerät bestimmten Applikationen benützt werden (z.B. Tier-
wägen oder Dichtebestimmungen).
• Überschreiten Sie nie die maximal zulässige Belastung des Gerätes.
• Bei Verwendung des Gerätes in Kombination mit anderen Geräten sind die für die jeweiligen Zusatzgeräte
geltenden Bestimmungen zu deren sicherem Gebrauch und bestimmungsgemässer Verwendung unbedingt
zu beachten.
GEFAHR
Überprüfen Sie vor dem Anschliessen an das Stromnetz, ob die auf dem Gerät, dem Netzadapter oder
dem Netzkabel angegebene Betriebsspannung mit der örtlichen Netzspannung übereinstimmt. Stimmt sie
nicht überein, darf das Gerät keinesfalls ans Stromnetz angeschlossen werden! Kontaktieren Sie in die-
sem Fall den Kundendienst.
HINWEIS
Bei allfällig eintretenden Sach- und Personenschäden liegen Haftung und Verantwortung beim Anwender.

3.2 Aktivierung des Konfigurationsmenüs
Im Konfigurationsmenü werden die Basiseinstellung der Waage definiert.
• Drücken Sie «ON/OFF», um die Waage einzuschalten.
• Halten Sie während des Aufstartvorganges (ca. 10 Sekunden) die Taste «MENU» ständig gedrückt, bis im
Display die Anzeige „EINHEIT-1“ oder „UNIT-1“erscheint.
• Nun können Sie das Konfigurationsmenü verändern.

3.4 Speziell zu bedienende Tasten
3.4.1 Die Tara-Taste
•Auslösen einer Tarierung
– Drücken sie kurz «T»
•Bereichsumschaltung
– Halten sie «T» gedrückt, bis „RANGE FINE ON“ oder „RANGE FINE OFF“ angezeigt wird, dann lassen Sie
«T» los.
– Wird „RANGE FINE OFF“ gewählt, so arbeitet die Waage nur noch im 10fach ungenaueren Grobbereich.
•Auslösen einer Kalibrierung
– Halten sie «T» gedrückt, bis „KALIBRIERUNG“ angezeigt wird, dann lassen Sie «T» los.
•Auslösen der automatischen Ermittlung der Reproduzierbarkeit(ART)
– Halten sie «T» gedrückt, bis „WIEDERHOLBARKEIT“ angezeigt wird, dann lassen Sie «T» los.
3.4.2 Die Print-Taste
•Ausdrucken eines Einzelwertes, bzw. eines Protokolls

•Reset des Produktezählers auf 1

1.1 Conformité
Le produit a été fabriqué et testé en rapport avec les standards et directives fournies sur le certificat de con-
formité.
1.2 Instructions de sécurité
• Lors de l’utilisation du produit, il est nécessaire de s’assurer que l’environnement correspond aux préconi-
sations d’utilisation.
• Le produit doit être alimenté avec le bloc secteur fourni.
• Pour déconnecter le produit du secteur, saississez la fiche et non le cable lorsque vous débranchez le cable
d‘une prise électrique.
• Si le câble d’alimentation est endommagé, débrancher immédiatement du secteur et ne plus l’utiliser. L’ap-
pareil doit absolument être alimenté avec le bloc alimentation fourni et en bon état.
• Si pour quelque raison que se soit, il n’est plus possible d’utiliser le produit sans danger, débrancher le du
secteur et ne l’utiliser plus.
• Dans le cadre d’une intervention technique, il est essentiel de se référer au chapitre « Maintenance et ser-
vice ».
• Ne pas utiliser l’appareil dans un environnement explosif ou corrosif.
• Dans le cadre de manipulation de produits liquides, s’assurer que le produit ne pénètre ni à l’intérieur de
la balance, ni dans la partie électronique, ni sur le câble et ni sur le bloc d’alimentation. Si cela devait ar-
river, débrancher la balance du secteur et ne plus l’utiliser. L’instrument ne pourra être réutilisé qu’après
le contrôle du service technique.
• L’instrument ne doit être utilisé que pour la pesée de solide, de liquide contenu dans un récipient sûr, et
pour des applications spécifiques telles que la pesée d’animaux ou la détermination de la masse volumique.
• Ne pas dépasser la charge maximale de la balance.
• Quand l’instrument est utilisé avec d’autres appareils fabriqués par le producteur ou d’autres fournitures,
il est nécessaire de toujours respecter les prescriptions d’utilisation du constructeur.
DANGER
Avant de connecter l’instrument au secteur, assurez-vous que la tension d’alimentation du secteur corre-
spond aux tensions du bloc d’alimentation et de l’appareil. Si ce n’est pas le cas, l’instrument ne doit pas
être connecté au secteur ! Dans ce cas contacter votre revendeur.
NOTE
Si des dommages ou blessures se produisent, la responsabilité serait imputable à l’utilisateur.

3.2 Configuration de l'instrument
Le réglage de base de la balance est défini dans la configuration.
• Appuyez sur la touche «ON/OFF» pour mettre la balance en service
• Maintenez appuyé sur la touche «MENU» lors de la procédure de démarrage (env. 10 secondes) jusqu’à ce
qu’apparaisse dans l’affichage "UNIT-1".
• A présent, vous pouvez modifier le menu de configuration.
Procédez de la façon suivante pour modifier la langue:

3.3 Menu application
Les programmes d‘applications de la balance sont appelés par le menu d‘application et adaptés à tous les be-
soins.
• Dans le mode de pesée appuyez sur la touche «MENU».

3.4 Touches spéciales
3.4.1 La touche de tarage
•Exécution d'un tarage
– Appuyez brièvement sur «T»
•Sélection de la plage
(Cette option est offerte uniquement sur les balances Dual-Range et Floating-Range)
– Maintenez la touche «T» enfoncée jusqu'à ce que "RANGE FINE ON" ou "RANGE FINE OFF" s'affiche,
relâchez «T»
– Si vous sélectionnez "RANGE FINE OFF", la balance fonctionnera uniquement dans la plage grossière. La
lecture sera donc dix fois moins précise qu‘avec la plage fine.
•Exécution d'un calibrage
– Maintenez «T» appuyée jusqu'à ce que "CALIBRAGE" s'affiche, relâchez «T»
•Activation d'un essai de répétitivité automatique (ART)
– Maintenez la touche «T» enfoncée jusqu'à ce que "TEST REPETITION" s'affiche, relâchez la touche «T»
3.4.2 La touche d'impression
•Impression d'une valeur individuelle ou d'un protocole
– Appuyez brièvement sur «PRINT»
•Reset du compteur de produit sur 1
– Maintenez «PRINT» appuyée, jusqu‘à ce que "RESET COMPTEUR PROD." s‘affiche, relâchez «PRINT
• Impression des réglages des applications
– Maintenez «PRINT» appuyée jusqu‘à ce que "IMP. DE L‘APPLICATION" s‘affiche, relâchez «PRINT»
•Impression des données de calibrage
– Maintenez «PRINT» enfoncée jusqu'à ce que "IMP. INFO CALIBRAGE" s'affiche, relâchez «PRINT»
3.4.3 La touche Change
•Passage vers d'autres applications
– Toutes les applications activées sont affichées les unes après les autres tant que vous maintenez appuyé
la touche «F»:
par ex. si le programme de statistiques, le programme de contrôle (CONTROLE +/–) et l'application
"COMPTAGE" sont activés, vous verrez s'afficher dans la ligne d'info à la suite: "PESEE", "CONTROLE
+/–", "STATISTIQUES", "COMPTAGE".
– Relâchez la touche «F» dès qu'apparaît l'application dans laquelle vous souhaitez vous rendre.
DEPART AUTO OUI/NON Le programme de travail peut être chargé automatiquement lors du démarrage
de la balance
