and all warning labels before assembling, installing or utilizing this product.

INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
Choosing A Safe Tree
Proper Care and Maintenance:
• ALWAYS thoroughly inspect the tree before installing your product. DO NOT install your Life Link onto any dead or unsafe tree, telephone or utility pole,
structural column, or man-made structure. Doing so may result in serious injury or death.
•
ALWAYS select the proper tree for use with your
Life link. Select a live straight tree that fits within size limits recommended (minimum tree diameter must be
no less than 9 inches and maximum of 18 inches).
DO NOT rely on a branch for support.
•
DO NOT select a tree in the dark or choose a tree in close proximity to a fence. You must not have any stumps or rocks beneath your tree.
•
NEVER use Link Link
on a tree that is dead, diseased , leaning or on wet and uneven ground as the tree may fall, break or uproot.
• Your tree must not be wet, icy or slippery or on wet, swampy, or loose ground that allows the tree to be unstable.
• Tree must not have any loose or scaly bark or excessive vines, nails, screws, or any other sharp objects protruding that may sever webbing on product. Any
surrounding trees must not lean or have dead limbs that may fall onto you or your product.
• WARNING: If a fall occurs, do not grab any part of the rope or prusik knot. Doing so may cause the device to malfunction, rapid descent,
serious injury or death.
• WARNING: REPLACE YOUR LIFE LINK IMMEDIATELY SHOULD YOU EXPERIENCE A FALL WHILE ATTACHED.
• WARNING: Prior to each use thoroughly inspect the life Link and all safety devices each time before use for signs of wear, rot, corrosion,
cracks, deterioration and/or any other type of damage.
• WARNING: This product is designed to work properly when the prusik knot has 6 loops (see Figure 1).
The prusik knot should be inspected BEFORE each use and should NOT be used unless all 6 loops are
present. Failure to follow this warning may cause the Life Link to fail causing serious injury or death.
• WARNING: Failure to discard and remove this Life Link from service after (3) years from the
manufacturer date could cause serious injury or death. DO NOT USE if this Life Link shows signs of
wear or damage.
• WARNING: STRICT WEIGHT LIMITATIONS HAVE BEEN SET FOR EACH PRODUCT TO ENSURE
YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY. NEVER EXCEED THESE WEIGHT LIMITATIONS.
• WARNING: DO NOT leave the Life link installed for more than two weeks (14 days). Failure to follow this warning may result in serious
injury or death.
• WARNING: DO NOT allow children to use this product without direct adult supervision. Failure to follow this warning may result in serious
injury or death.
TIPS FOR INCREASING PRODUCT LONGEVITY:
Always store your Life Link in a cool dry place and make sure that your Life Link is completely dry and clean before storing in carrying bag.
DO NOT machine wash this product. Never leave your Life Link outside for any longer than needed. This material may fade after long periods
of time in direct sunlight.

• WARNING: You must wear a Fall Arrest System (FAS) comprising of a full-body arrest harness, tree belt, suspension relief device
and climbing belt/linesmen belt (as applicable) that meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM Test Method F2337 at all times after
leaving the ground. Only use this system with OEM and after-market harnesses distributed by Acheson Harriman Swann. You must stay
connected at all times after leaving the ground while using this product. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury
or death.
• WARNING: Prior to attempting to use this product, it is important to become familiar with the assembly, setup, installation, use, and
removal at ground-level to ensure a proper assembly in the field. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or death.
Put on your safety harness making all necessary adjustments and safety checks as per the
manufacturers instructions.
Once you have reached your desired
climbing height, attach the Life Link to
the tree just above the treestand by
wrapping the looped end around the tree
and then pulling the rest of the line through
the loop until snug.
Attach the Carabiner to the Prusik
Knot Loop of the Life Link and attach
your safety harness tether to the
Carabiner . Twist the screwgate on the
Carabiner clockwise to lock.
NOTE:
Inspect the Life Link carefully BEFORE
each use. Ensure the Prusik Knot has six
loops as shown. Pull the tether loop of
the prusik knot
to verify the six
(6) loops lock onto
the Life Link rope.

As you descend the tree, regularly
adjust the prusik knot so that it is always
just above you. Place your hand above
the prusik knot and slide the knot down
from above. DO NOT pull or hold the
prusik knot while descending as this
may cause the Life Link to fail, resulting
in serious injury or death.

As you ascend the tree, regularly
adjust the prusik knot so that it is always
just above you. Place your hand below
the prusik knot and slide the knot up
from below. DO NOT pull or hold the
prusik knot while descending as this
may cause the Life Link to fail, resulting
in serious injury or death.

Once on the ground, disconnect the
harness from the prusik knot and loosely
tie the bottom of the Life link to the base
of the tree.
DO NOT TIE TO A CLIMBING AID.
Make sure that the prusik knot is still
able to move from the top to the bottom
of the tree without interference.
