User Guide:
To measure body temperature using your Non-Contact Digital Infrared
Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. ress the OWER button to turn the thermometer on. All symbols
on the display will momentarily appear, Fig. 1.
2. Ensure that the thermometer is in erson mode; the erson
symbol will be on the display, Fig 2. To alternate between modes
press and release the erson/Object Mode button until you see
the desired measurement symbol on the display.
3. ress and hold the SCAN button. The erson symbol, Scan in
rogress symbol and “00” should be displayed, Fig. 3.
4. While holding the SCAN button, aim the infrared lens at the
patient’s forehead, holding the thermometer approximately 1.5”
– 2.5” away, Fig. 4.
5. Release the SCAN button. DO NOT MOVE THE THERMOMETER;
THE MEASUREMENT IS NOT YET COM LETE.
6. The thermometer will beep once, and the temperature reading will
be displayed, Fig. 5. If the temperature measurement is below
100.4° F, a happy face will be appear next to the reading. If the
reading is 100.4° F or above, a sad face will be displayed.
7. After about one minute after use, the thermometer will
automatically beep and shut off.

These brief instructions allow you to quickly begin using your Non-Contact
Thermometer for Body Tem erature Measurements. lease refer to
the Instruction Manual for more detailed instructions covering all features
of the thermometer, including Object Temperature measurements.
• The infrared technology used in this thermometer is safe and is not
harmful in any way. However, we recommend avoiding looking into the
lens during use.

Please Note:
• Wait at least one minute between consecutive readings to ensure
accuracy.
• Attempting to take temperature readings from sites on the body
other than the forehead may produce inaccurate results.
• The patient should remain still while the reading is being taken.
• If “Lo,” “Hi,” “Err,” or another error message appears, see the
Troubleshooting section of the manual for instructions on how to
resolve the problem.
• Infrared forehead temperature readings are equivalent to oral
temperature readings.
• Readings taken while asleep should not be compared directly to
readings taken while awake, as body temperature while asleep
is typically lower.
• Do not take body temperature readings within 30 minutes of
being outdoors, exercising or bathing.
• Illness may be present even without an elevated temperature,
particularly in the elderly, in infants under 3 months of age, and
those with compromised immune systems. If illness is apparent
without a fever, consult with a healthcare professional.

infrarroja a la frente del paciente y sostenga el termómetro a una
distancia aproximada de 2” a 3”, Fig. 4.
5. Libere el botón de exploración. NO MUEVA EL TERMÓMETRO, LA
MEDIDA NO ES COM LETO.
6. La señal audible se escuchará una vez y en el visor del termómetro
se presentará el valor de lectura de la temperatura, Fig. 5. Si la
medición de temperatura es inferior a los 100,4° F, se visualizará
una carita feliz al lado del valor de lectura. Si la lectura es igual o
superior a los 100,4° F, se visualizará una carita triste.
7. Aproximadamente un minuto después de usarlo, el termómetro
emitirá una señal audible y se apagará en forma automática.

Tenga en cuenta lo siguiente:
• Espere, por lo menos, 1 minuto entre lecturas consecutivas para

bebés de menos de 3 meses y en quienes tengan comprometido el
sistema inmunológico. Si es evidente la existencia de una enfermedad
sin fiebre, consulte con un profesional de cuidados médicos.
