The headset supports three audio input modes
OPTION 1:
• Connect the headphones to a PC laptop, tablet, or compatible gaming console using USB type C cable.
• Configure the headset as the default audio device, depending on your PC platform.
OPTION 2:
• Connect the headphones to a PC, laptop, tablet, smartphone or compatible gaming console using the
TRRS-4 pole 3.5mm cable.

XBOX ONE®
1. Connect the headphones’ 3.5mm plug into a controller’s 3.5mm jack.
2. Connect the headphones' 3.5mm plug into the 3.5mm jack of the adapter for the Xbox controller.
*Xbox One controllers with no 3.5mm connector will require an adapter (Xbox stereo headset adapter is not included).

PlayStation®4
1. Depending on the audio input mode you want to use, connect the headphones’ cable into the USB or
3.5mm interface of your controller.
2. Next go to Settings, followed by the Devices tab, select Audio devices, and click on Output.
Nintendo Switch®
1. Connect the headphones' TRRS 3.5mm plug into a controller’s 3.5mm connector designed for voice and
stereo sound.
2. For the lighting effects, insert the USB connector to the docking station of the Switch.

V. ADVANCED
OPERATION

In order to enable full surround sound and customization capabilities on the headset, a USB
connection is required and the installation of the software in your computer. This software is
compatible with Windows platform only.

To install the driver, follow the steps below.
1. Turn on your computer.
2. Go to www.primusgaming.com/software to download the driver software.
3. To start the installation, double click the Setup.exe file.
4. Once the Welcome setup screen is displayed, click Next to continue.
5. In this step, you will be asked to Accept the License Agreement. Click the Next button to go on to
the following screen.

6. You are now ready to install your brand-new Primus PHS-260 (ARCUS 260S) Gaming Headset.
Once you click Install, the system will ask you to connect the headset to a USB port on your PC.
7. Once the connection is established, the configuration of the device will start in your PC. To
proceed, follow the prompts on the screen.
8. Select on Install, and then accept by clicking on OK, as shown below.
9. This screen will display the progress bar of the software being downloaded.

10. In order to complete the installation process, you will need to restart your PC. Click OK when
prompted. Select Finish once you are ready to conclude rebooting the system.
11. The application shortcut will appear on the desktop of your computer when the process is
completed.

VI. CONFIGURATION

This gaming software allows you to configure the headset through a single user-friendly application.

Main software interface
1. The headphones must be plugged in order to start the Primus software. The intial screen for the
PRIMUS PHS-260 gaming headset will be now displayed. Make sure both icons are checked to gain
access to all the features and settings available in the device.
2. From the main interface, click on the cog wheel icon at the top right corner. Here you can
select to Show or Not Show the System Tray Icon, Change the UI Transparency by using the slider,
Select the Language of your choice and to enable/disable the Startup message.
3. When done, click Apply and OK to continue.
4. The status panel at the top shows the current settings that are enabled or not enabled on your
headset. If you click the Double arrow icon, you will see the different default profiles and allow
you to save your own custom profile, if you choose to do so.

5. Once you have configured the settings according to your own preferences, click the plus + icon if
you want to add a new profile. Proceed to enter a Profile Name and Profile Description. Click OK
when done to save it.
6. To delete a profile, select the one you wish to eliminate and click the minus -- icon. Choose
Delete. A confirmation popup will be displayed, tap on Yes to permanently remove the profile.

Application settings
On the left column of the main interface,
there are two icons. The Speaker controls
the audio settings, and the Microphone
controls the effects related to the voice
input.
Speaker control
If you right click on the Speaker icon, it
will bring up a set of menus.
These include: Volume Control, Sample
Rate, Equalizer, Environment Effects, 7.1
Virtual Speaker shifter, Primus SingFX,
Primus Surround Max.
1. Volume Control: it allows you to raise
and lower the main volume with the
slider under the Master controller. You
can also individually adjust the volume
level of the Left and Right channels with
the sliders under the Front controller.
The headset can be muted by clicking
the Speaker icon of the submenu. To
unmute, simply click the Speaker icon
once again.

2. Sample Rate: toggles the setting
between 44.1kHz and 48kHz.
3. Equalizer: check the box next to Enable
Equalizer to turn it on. You can
customize the sound using the equalizer
or any of the presets. To save a custom
preset equalizer, select Please input
preset name…, type in the desired label
and finish by clicking the Disk icon to
save it. To delete, choose the one you
want to eliminate and then tap on the
Trash can icon.
4. Environment Effects: check the box
next to Enable Environment Effects to
access this feature. Under this menu,
the user can choose among the preset
effects, like a Concert Hall or how it
would sound Under Water. This setting
will also allow the selection of three
different Room sizes.

5. 7.1 Virtual Speaker Shifter: check the
box next to Enable 7.1 Virtual Speaker
Shifter to activate this function. It will
simulate a 7.1 speaker system. The
icons on the left are used to rotate the
speaker position around you. The sliders
on the right can be used to adjust the
level of each speaker separately.
6. Primus SingFX: this can help users to
change their natural “key” to match the
song´s. To activate, click the box next to
Enable Key Shifting. Use the slider to
adjust the pitch lower or higher. Press
the Home icon to go back to default.
Vocal Fading: it can mask the lead vocal
voice from a song. To activate, check the
box next to Enable Vocal Fading and use
the slider to adjust how much vocal to
fade from the audio. Press the Home
icon to go back to default.
7. Primus Surround Max: this function
creates immersive surround sound
fields even with stereo audio sources.
This can only be used when Virtual
Surround is turned on. To activate, check
the box next to Enable Primus Surround
Max.
