VOORWOORD
Geachte klant,
U heeft de juiste keuze gemaakt door uw auto te laten voorzien van een geavanceerd Prins SilverLine-
2.0 LPG systeem. Dit autogassysteem voldoet aan strenge wettelijke eisen met betrekking tot veiligheid
en milieu.
Wij adviseren u, alvorens u gaat rijden op LPG, deze servicehandleiding goed door te nemen. Het maakt
u vertrouwd met de voor u noodzakelijke wetenswaardigheden over uw Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG
systeem.
In deze servicehandleiding kunt u nalezen hoe u met uw autogassysteem om moet gaan. Daarnaast
wordt u attent gemaakt op belangrijke adressen die u kunt raadplegen in geval van vragen of
problemen. Wij adviseren u deze handleiding bij uw autopapieren te bewaren.
Prins Autogassystemen B.V. bedankt u voor uw keuze en wenst u veel rijplezier.
ALGEMENE TIPS BIJ HET RIJDEN OP LPG
1. Voorkom dat uw benzinetank leeg of bijna leeg raakt, omdat uw autogassysteem op benzine
start. Ook wordt zo het drooglopen van de benzinepomp voorkomen, wat tot schade kan
leiden aan de benzinepomp. De benzine in uw tank mag niet ouder zijn dan 3 maanden i.v.m.
maximale houdbaarheid.
2. Ruikt u gaslucht in of rond uw auto, schakel dan direct over op benzine en laat uw auto zo snel
mogelijk controleren bij de dichtstbijzijnde LPG specialist.
3. Voor een gegarandeerde levensduur en probleemloos rijden op LPG, dient u zich aan de
voorgeschreven onderhoudsvoorschriften te houden. Deze kunt u vinden in een tabel achter in
dit garantieboekje.
4. Na installatie van uw Prins systeem, dient u van uw installateur een garantiecertificaat
[warranty certificate] te ontvangen. Op dit garantiecertificaat staan alle voertuig- en
systeemgegevens vermeld. Uw garantietermijn vangt aan op datum van installatie.
5. Het is algemeen toegestaan om met LPG-auto's in ondergrondse garages te rijden/parkeren.
Alleen in sommige parkeergarages zijn beperkingen door de eigenaar van de parkeergarage
opgelegd. De eigenaar van de parkeergarage kan dit doen door middel van
signaleringsborden. De garagehouder is vrij om dit op te nemen in het huisregelement en dit
dient dan te worden gerespecteerd.
AUTOGAS
Autogas of LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) bestaat net als benzine en diesel uit
koolwaterstofverbindingen.
De hoofdbestanddelen van LPG zijn Propaan en Butaan. Zowel bij de winning van aardolie en aardgas
als bij de raffinage van ruw aardolie komen grote hoeveelheden petroleumgassen vrij. Door deze
petroleumgassen te comprimeren wordt het gas vloeibaar en ontstaat LPG. LPG is een schone
brandstof in vergelijk met benzine en diesel. Het gebruik van LPG als motorbrandstof draagt dan ook bij

aan een betere luchtkwaliteit. LPG is een reukloos gas waaraan een reukstof is toegevoegd waardoor
een eventuele lekkage goed opgemerkt kan worden.
HET PRINS SILVERLINE-2.0 LPG SYSTEEM
Het SilverLine-2.0 LPG systeem is gebaseerd op het dampvormig injecteren van LPG. Het dampvormig
LPG wordt sequentieel ingespoten. Sequentieel betekent dat de LPG injectoren het LPG inspuiten in
een volgorde die gelijk is aan de inspuitvolgorde van het benzine-injectiesysteeem. Sequentieel
injecteren betekent ook dat de hoeveelheid ingespoten brandstof getimed en gedoseerd wordt per
cilinder. Door sequentieel injecteren is het mogelijk om zeer nauwkeurig de te injecteren brandstof te
doseren, waarmee voldaan wordt aan de huidige strenge emissie eisen. Het SilverLine-2.0 LPG systeem
kenmerkt zich door ver doorgevoerde integratie van het LPG-systeem in het benzine
motormanagement systeem waardoor een zeer hoge betrouwbaarheid gegarandeerd wordt.
U zult met het Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG systeem geen verschil ervaren in rijeigenschappen tussen
autogas en benzine.
PRINS SILVERLINE-2.0 LPG COMPONENTEN
( zie schematische systeemoverzicht op pagina 1)
1. Autogastank
De autogastank wordt op de plaats van het reservewiel, in de kofferruimte of onder de auto geplaats.
In de autogastank wordt het LPG onder druk, vloeibaar opgeslagen. De autogastank is voorzien van een
appendagekast waarin diverse veiligheidsappendages zijn aangebracht.
2. Buitenvuller
De buitenvuller wordt gemonteerd aan de buitenzijde van de auto. De buitenvuller is voorzien van een
beschermkap.
Deze beschermkap moet tijdens het tanken worden verwijderd. In de buitenvuller zit een terugslagklep
die ervoor zorgt dat het LPG na het tanken niet terugstroomt.
3. LPG afsluiters
Er zijn twee afsluiters gemonteerd één op de tank en een op de verdamper.
Bij het terugschakelen naar benzine-bedrijf, stopzetten/afslaan van de motor en storing wordt de
toevoer van LPG automatisch afgesloten.
4. Tankzender
De tankzender is gemonteerd in de LPG tank. De tankzender is een elektrische opnemer die het
vloeistofniveau in de tank registreert.
5. Verdamper/drukregelaar
De verdamper wordt gemonteerd in de motorruimte.
De verdamper zorgt er voor dat het vloeibaar gas uit de tank wordt verdampt. Tevens regelt de
verdamper de druk af op een constante waarde.
6. Temperatuursensor
De temperatuursensor is geplaatst in de verdamper en meet de temperatuur van koelvloeistof in de
verdamper. Aan de hand van deze temperatuur wordt het overschakelmoment bepaald.

7. Filter unit
De filterunit is geplaatst tussen de verdamper/drukregelaar en de injectorrail.De filterunit filtert het
drooggas en beschermt zo de injectoren tegen vervuiling.
8. Gecombineerde druk/temperatuursensor
De gecombineerde temperatuur/druksensor is in de filterunit opgenomen. Deze sensor meet de druk
en de temperatuur van het gas.
9. Injectorrail
De injectorrail wordt zo dicht mogelijk bij het inlaatspruitstuk gemonteerd. In de injectorrail zitten de
injectoren die het dampvormige gas sequentieel injecteren.
10. AFC-2.0 computer
De AFC-2.0 computer wordt gemonteerd in de motorruimte.AFCI-2.0 computer is het hart van de
installatie en zorgt voor de verwerking van alle inkomende signalen en de aansturing van alle
actuatoren.
11. Brandstofkeuzeschakelaar
De brandstofkeuzeschakelaar is op het dashboard of op het middenconsole geplaatst. Met de
brandstofkeuzeschakelaar kunt u het SilverLine-2.0 systeem bedienen.
12. Zekeringen
De zekeringen worden in de motorruimte geplaatst. De zekeringen beschermen het elektrische circuit
tegen overbelasting.
BEDIENING VAN HET PRINS SILVERLINE-2.0 LPG SYSTEEM
Starten
De motor start altijd op benzine. Afhankelijk van de motortemperatuur en na het uitvoeren van de
systeemcontrole, zal er automatisch worden overgeschakeld naar LPG.
Brandstofkeuzeschakelaar
De brandstofkeuze schakelaar heeft 2 keuzestanden:
1. Benzine-mode: Status LED brandt niet (Prins logo)
2. LPG-mode: Status LED brandt (Prins logo)

Overschakelen van benzine naar LPG en omgekeerd
U kunt tijdens het rijden altijd schakelen tussen de beide brandstoffen door de
brandstofkeuzeschakelaar in te drukken. Nadat er op de schakelaar is gedrukt zal de
overschakelprocedure gestart worden.
Benzine >> LPG: De Status LED knippert. Op het moment dat er daadwerkelijk overgeschakeld
is zal de status LED continu branden.
LPG >> benzine: De status LED zal uit gaan zodra er overgeschakeld is naar benzine.
LPG tankinhoudindicatie
Een indicatie van de tankinhoud, wordt weergegeven met behulp van vijf tank indicatie LED’s.
Afhankelijk van het type tanksensor wordt de tankindicatie in 5 of 6 stappen weergegeven. Als de rode
LED gaat branden zijn de laatste liters LPG die men nog kan gebruiken aangebroken. Dit betekent niet
dat de tank leeg is, maar dat er afhankelijk van de in uw auto geplaatste grootte en vorm van de LPG
tank nog enkele liters LPG aanwezig zijn. Door het meetprincipe van het systeem die de tankinhoud
meet, kan deze meting niet nauwkeuriger en blijft het een indicatieve tankinhoudsmeting. Ervaring
moet uitwijzen hoelang u nog kunt rijden als de rode LED gaat branden.
Lege tank situatie
Tijdens een lege tank situatie schakelt het SilverLine-2.0 systeem automatisch terug naar benzine
mode, status LED knippert, beeper piept 3x. Door op de keuzeschakelaar te drukken wordt er
teruggeschakeld naar benzine-mode en zal de status LED uit gaan en de rode tankindicatie LED blijven
branden. Op het moment dat de tank weer vol getankt is kan er weer teruggeschakeld worden naar
LPG-mode.
Diagnose
Voor diagnose doeleinden zijn een diagnose/systeem check LED en een beeper in de schakelaar
geïntegreerd. De volgende foutmeldingen kunnen zich voordoen:
1. Niet-kritische systeemfout: Diagnose LED knippert.
Diagnose: Er is een storing opgetreden aan uw autogassysteem. Rijden op LPG blijft
verantwoord ook uit milieutechnisch oogpunt. Het rijcomfort kan
verminderen.
Actie: Raadpleeg uw Prins dealer.
2. Kritische systeemfout: Systeem schakelt automatisch terug naar benzine bedrijf, beeper
geactiveerd, Status led knippert diagnose LED is aan.
Diagnose: Er is een storing opgetreden aan uw autogassysteem. Het rijden op LPG is niet
verantwoord. Daarom wordt automatisch overgeschakeld naar benzine.
Actie: Beeper uitzetten door de brandstofkeuzeschakelaar in te drukken.
Raadpleeg uw Prins dealer.
TANKEN
Het vullen van de LPG tank:
- Motor uitzetten!
- De stofdop afnemen van de buitenvuller.

- Bajonet vuller : vulpistool over buitenvuller plaatsen en een kwartslag naar rechts of links
draaien.
Vergrendelingshendel van het vulpistool geheel aantrekken.
Euro vuller : moer van vulpistool op buitenvuller draaien. Vergrendelingshendel op vulpistool
indrukken.
Italië vuller : vulpistool in buitenvuller plaatsen. Vergrendelingshendel op vulpistool indrukken.
- De knop van de LPG pomp indrukken. Als na een tijdje de pomp stopt is het maximum
tankniveau van 80% tankvulling bereikt. Door de knop los te laten stopt het vullen.
- Maak nu de vergrendelingshendel los (er kan LPG vrijkomen) en verwijder het vulpistool.
- De stofdop terugplaatsen omdat er anders vuil, water, zand en stof in de vulopening en
hierdoor in het systeem kan komen.
Let op: open vuur en roken is verboden tijdens het tanken. Ook dient de mobiele telefoon
uitgeschakeld te worden.
In de tabel hieronder vind u de verschillende vulnippels met daarbij de landen waar deze worden
toegepast.

BRANDSTOFVERBRUIK
Autogas heeft een lagere energiewaarde per volume eenheid dan benzine. Hierdoor zal het
brandstofverbruik tijdens het rijden op autogas afhankelijk van de samenstelling van het autogas 15-
25% hoger zijn dan u gewend bent op benzine.
VEILIGHEIDSASPECTEN
Demontage van componenten/systeem
Demonteer nooit componenten van het autogassysteem. Het systeem staat onder druk en bevat
vloeibaar gas. Bij demontage loopt u het risico op brandwonden. Laat het systeem uitsluitend uitbouwen
door een erkend Prins dealer.
Gaslekkage
Als u autogas ruikt schakel direct over op benzine en neem contact op met een erkende Prins dealer.
Brand
Verlaat de auto in geval van brand en houd voldoende afstand. De autogastank is voorzien van een
veiligheidsklep die het LPG pulserend afblaast zodra de druk in de LPG tank te hoog wordt. Op deze

manier is het onmogelijk dat de tank explodeert. Informeer de hulpverleners dat u een autogassysteem
in de auto heeft.
ONDERHOUD
Bij rijden op LPG is het onderhoud aan uw auto zeker zo belangrijk als bij het rijden op benzine. Omdat
LPG als brandstof andere karaktereigenschappen heeft dan benzine, kunnen kleine gebreken of
storingen aan een automotor, die bij het rijden op benzine nauwelijks merkbaar zijn, zich bij het rijden
op LPG hinderlijk openbaren. Om probleemloos op LPG te rijden, dient u zich aan de volgende
onderhoudsvoorschriften en tips te houden.
Het algemene onderhoud aan een auto met betrekking tot bougies, bougiekabels,
ontsteking, kleppen, etc. dient volgens voorschrift van de automobielimporteur te gebeuren.
Het onderhoud moet vervolgens aantoonbaar zijn (door middel van een volledig ingevuld
onderhoudsboekje) volgens opgave van de importeur.
Het onderhoud moet bij een door de importeur aangewezen dealer worden uitgevoerd.
Afstellingen en reparaties aan uw Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG systeem mogen alleen door een
erkend Prins dealer worden uitgevoerd.
STORINGEN
Indien uw auto niet op LPG functioneert, volg dan onderstaande checklist.
Is de LPG tank voldoende gevuld?
Is voldoende benzine aanwezig t.b.v. het benzine startsysteem?
Is er een zekering in het LPG systeem defect (altijd te vinden bij LPG computer)?
Plaats nooit een grotere zekering dan aangegeven op de draad van de zekering, dit kan schade aan
het systeem veroorzaken!!
Kunt u de storing niet oplossen, neem dan contact op met uw Prins dealer. Ga nooit zelf repareren of
nastellen, maar laat dat door een erkend Prins Dealer doen. De garantie op uw Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG
systeem komt daardoor in gevaar.
ALGEMENE RICHTLIJN VOOR SCHADEHERSTELWERKZAAMHEDEN IN EEN SPUIT/DROOGCABINE
In geval van schadeherstelwerkzaamheden aan een auto, voorzien van een LPG tank, en de auto in
een spuit/droogcabine wordt geplaatst met een droogtemperatuur hoger dan 60C, dient de LPG
tank te worden uitgebouwd. Dit in verband met het niet overschrijden van de openingsdruk van het
overdruk veiligheidsventiel.
ALGEMENE RICHTLIJN VOOR AUTODEMONTAGE VAN LPG-VOERTUIG
In geval van autodemontage (sloop) van een voertuig, voorzien van een LPG systeem, dient
inachtname van de LPG tank inclusief leidingwerk te worden genomen, vanwege de nog mogelijk
aanwezige druk in deze delen.
Ook dient de LPG tank gedemonteerd te zijn voordat het voertuig geplet wordt.

ALGEMENE RICHTLIJN VOOR EXTREME TEMPERATUREN
Extreme temperaturen in combinatie met de samenstelling van de brandstof kan de werking van het
systeem beïnvloeden. Het is mogelijk dat het langere tijd in beslag neemt voordat het systeem
omschakelt van benzine naar gas. In extreme situaties kan het mogelijk zijn dat het systeem
terugschakelt naar benzine omdat niet aan de minimale eisen voldaan wordt voor het goed
functioneren van het systeem.
LPG BRANDSTOFKWALITEIT
De LPG brandstof dient aan de minimale DIN EN 589 norm te voldoen. Alle garantie bepalingen
vervallen bij het gebruik van een andere brandstofkwaliteit.
VALVECARE (OPTIONEEL)
Algemeen
ValveCare is een additieven doseertoestel exclusief ontwikkeld voor het Prins SilverLine-2.0 systeem.
Het doel van ValveCare is het in de juiste hoeveelheid doseren van additieven, welke overmatige klep
en klepzitting slijtage tegen gaat. Deze additieven worden standaard toegevoegd aan benzine, echter
bij LPG/CNG is dit niet het geval.
Diagnose
Voor diagnose doeleinden is een beeper in de schakelaar van het SilverLine-2.0 systeem
geïntegreerd. De volgende meldingen kunnen zich voordoen met betrekking tot ValveCare:
Diagnose LED knippert blauw
Diagnose: De ValveCare vloeistof in het reservoir is leeg en de fles dient zo snel mogelijk
verwisseld te worden. U kunt nog maximaal 60 minuten op LPG rijden alvorens het
SilverLine-2.0 systeem automatisch terugschakelt naar het rijden op benzine.
Actie: Vervang de fles met ValveCare vloeistof (zie hieronder). Het systeem schakelt
vervolgens automatisch terug naar LPG. Raadpleeg indien nodig een Prins dealer voor
een nieuwe fles ValveCare vloeistof.
Beeper piept + diagnose LED brand fel (tankinhoud indicatie LED’s uit)
Diagnose: Er is een algemene kritische fout opgetreden. Het rijden op LPG is niet verantwoord.
Daarom wordt automatisch overgeschakeld naar benzine.
Actie: Druk één keer op de SilverLine-2.0 schakelaar om het piepen te stoppen. Raadpleeg
uw Prins dealer.
Plaatsen nieuwe vulling
-Verwijder de ValveCare vulling alleen indien deze helemaal leeg is
(i.v.m. knoeien en eventuele onterechte foutcodes op verbruik).
-Verwijder de dop van de nieuwe vulling en plaats de fles omgekeerd
met de folie zijde gecentreerd tegen de uitstekende pin
(flessenopener). Zie afbeelding.
-Druk de pin door de folie en schuif de fles in een vloeiende beweging
naar beneden tot aan de schroefdraad. Bij de schroefdraad

aangekomen dient de vulling te worden vastgedraaid (3 complete omwentelingen). Beweeg de
fles nooit terug omhoog ivm lekken/leeglopen.
-Let op: werk altijd met schone onderdelen. De ValveCare doseerpomp kan schade ondervinden
ten gevolge van vuil/verontreinigingen.
Prins adviseert om met enige regelmaat het systeem te controleren op verbruik (vloeistof afname:
1 fles op 1280 liter LPG/CNG).
GARANTIEVOORWAARDEN
Een gedeelte uit de Algemene Voorwaarden Prins Autogassystemen B.V. Deze algemene
voorwaarden zijn gedeponeerd bij de Kamer van Koophandel en Fabrieken te Eindhoven op 3 januari
2011 onder nummer 17058344. De volledige algemene voorwaarden staan op de Prins website.
Garantie
14.1 Prins staat er voor in dat de door Prins geleverde Producten van deugdelijk materiaal en goed
vakmanschap zijn vervaardigd. Mochten zich niettemin gebreken voordoen in de door Prins
geleverde Producten als gevolg van fabricage en/of materiaalfouten, dan zal Prins, na
onderzoek overeenkomstig artikel 14.3, deze gebreken, binnen de door haar aan te geven
termijn, (doen) herstellen of de voor herstel benodigde onderdelen beschikbaar (doen)
stellen, de betrokken Producten geheel of gedeeltelijk vervangen of maximaal de
factuurwaarde van de Producten vergoeden, een en ander te haren uitsluitende keuze. Deze
garantie geldt gedurende vierentwintig (24) maanden na uitlevering.
14.2 Indien het geleverde Product een compleet autogassysteem behelst dan dient dit te zijn
ingebouwd door Prins dan wel een door Prins erkende dealer, volgens de standaard
inbouwvoorschriften, de wettelijke eisen en, in het geval dat het systeem online geregistreerd
(warranty portal) is binnen 30 dagen, bedraagt de in artikel 14.1 genoemde garantietermijn
vierentwintig (24) maanden bij het in gebruik nemen van het systeem, behoudens schriftelijke
afwijkingen. In het geval dat geen online registratie (warranty portal) is uitgevoerd, zal de
garantietermijn van vierentwintig (24) maanden aanvangen op de uitleveringdatum.
14.3 Afnemer is verplicht om een door Prins aan te wijzen deskundige op verzoek van Prins in de
gelegenheid te stellen het gebrekkige Product te onderzoeken, bij gebreke waarvan het recht
op garantie vervalt. De uitspraak van de deskundige is voor beide partijen bindend. De kosten
van voormelde expertise zijn voor rekening van Prins indien Afnemer terecht een beroep op
de garantie heeft gedaan, anders voor rekening van Afnemer.
14.4 Aanspraken ingevolge deze garantie dienen aan Prins binnen acht dagen nadat een gebrek
zich voordoet bij aangetekend schrijven te worden gemeld. Bij gebreke van tijdige reclame
vervalt elke aanspraak. Rechtsvorderingen terzake, dienen binnen dertien (13) maanden na
tijdige reclame op straffe van verval aanhangig te worden gemaakt.
14.5 Indien Prins op verzoek van Afnemer de Producten bij Afnemer dient te herstellen, is Prins
bevoegd de gemaakte kosten, waaronder mede begrepen reiskosten, logies, voeding, aan
Afnemer in rekening te brengen
14.6 Buiten de garantie vallen in ieder geval gebreken die optreden in, dan wel geheel of
gedeeltelijk het gevolg zijn van:
(a) het niet in acht nemen van gebruiksaanwijzingen, bedieningsvoorschriften e.d. dan
wel door ander dan het voorziene normale gebruik;
(b) normale slijtage;
(c) wijziging van gegevens op de garantiekaart;
(d) wijziging in gegevens op de van overheidswege vereiste stickers die door Prins zijn
verstrekt;
(e) montage/installatie, reparatie of afstelling door derden, althans een niet door Prins

erkende dealer c.q. Afnemer, zonder voorafgaande schriftelijke toestemming van
Prins;
(f) de toepassing van enig overheidsvoorschrift inzake de aard of kwaliteit van
toegepaste materialen;
(g) materialen die door Afnemer aan Prins ter bewerking of uitvoering van een opdracht
zijn verstrekt, tenzij uitdrukkelijk anders overeengekomen;
(h) in overleg met Afnemer aangewende materialen en/of goederen;
(i) door Prins verstrekte adviezen, tenzij uitdrukkelijk anders is overeengekomen;
(j) het verwerken door Afnemer van Producten, tenzij Prins een bepaalde wijze van
verwerken uitdrukkelijk schriftelijk in haar documentatie brochures e.d. vermeldt dan
wel zulks zonder enig voorbehoud schriftelijk heeft toegestaan;
(k) door invloeden van buitenaf, inbouwfouten;
(l) verkeerde of inferieure brandstof;
(m) het gebruik van een additief welke niet door Prins schriftelijk is goedgekeurd;
(n) aantoonbaar niet nakomen van het voorgehouden onderhoudsschema van
autofabrikant, importeur en/of Prins.
14.7 Indien Afnemer niet, niet behoorlijk of niet tijdig voldoet aan enige verplichting, die voor hem
uit de met Prins gesloten Overeenkomst of uit een daarmee samenhangende overeenkomst
voortvloeit, is Prins met betrekking tot de Overeenkomst tot geen enkele garantie of
schadevergoeding –hoe ook genaamd –gehouden.
14.8 Elke aanspraak uit hoofde van dit artikel komt te vervallen, indien Afnemer zonder
voorafgaande schriftelijke toestemming van Prins overgaat of doet overgaan tot reparatie,
demontage of andere werkzaamheden betreffende de Producten.
14.9 Indien Prins ter voldoening aan garantieverplichting onderdelen of Producten vervangt,
worden de vervangen Producten of onderdelen haar eigendom. Prins is bevoegd de
transportkosten van deze (onderdelen van de) Producten in rekening te brengen, tenzij Prins
opdracht heeft gegeven voor het transport.
14.10 Tot enige andere verplichting, zoals schadevergoeding, onverminderd het bepaalde in artikel
15, zal Prins nimmer gehouden zijn.
Aansprakelijkheid
15.1 Prins is niet aansprakelijk voor de kosten, schaden en dergelijke die mochten ontstaan als
direct of indirect gevolg van:
(a) overmacht, zoals in deze voorwaarden omschreven;
(b) daden van of het nalaten door de Afnemer, diens ondergeschikten, dan wel andere
personen die door of vanwege hem te werk zijn gesteld;
(c) het van toepassing zijn van een van de in artikel 14.6 genoemde omstandigheden.
15.2 Prins is slechts aansprakelijk voorzover haar verzekering dit dekt, voor schade aan Producten
of eigendommen van of (letsel)schade bij Afnemer en/of derden, voorzover ontstaan door
opzet of grove schuld van Prins of zij, die door Prins te werk zijn gesteld, met als een maximum
het door Prins verzekerde bedrag. Indien er in voorkomende gevallen geen
verzekeringsdekking mocht blijken te bestaan, om welke reden dan ook, is de
aansprakelijkheid van Prins beperkt tot de factuurwaarde, exclusief BTW.
15.3 Prins is nimmer aansprakelijk voor enige indirecte schade van Afnemer of derde, waaronder
mede begrepen gevolg-, immateriële, bedrijfs- of milieuschade.
15.4 Afnemer vrijwaart en stelt Prins schadeloos voor alle aanspraken van derden terzake de
leveringen van Producten.

FOREWORD
Dear client,
Thank you for choosing an advanced Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG System for your car. This SilverLine-2.0
LPG system complies with strict European standards covering safety and the environment.
It is important that you read and understand this manual before driving on LPG. It gives the
information you need about the Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG system.
This (service) manual tells you how to handle your SilverLine-2.0 LPG system. In addition, it contains
important addresses for you to consult if you have any questions or experience any problems. We
advise you to keep this manual with your other vehicle information.

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR DRIVING ON LPG
1. As the SilverLine-2.0 LPG system starts on petrol, make sure that the fuel tank is not empty or
nearly empty. This also prevents the fuel pump from running dry, which could lead to damage
to the pump. The petrol in the tank should not be more than 3 months old.
2. For a guaranteed life span and optimal drive ability of the LPG SilverLine-2.0 system it is
necessary to follow the prescribed maintenance. At the back of this service booklet you will
find the maintenance table.

3. When you smell gas in or around your car, immediately switch over to petrol and have your car
checked at the nearest service point.
4. After the installation of your Prins system, you will receive a warranty certificate from your
installer. This warranty certificate contains all information about your car and your Prins
system. The warranty period starts on the day of conversion.
5. It is generally allowed for LPG vehicles to drive and park in an underground parking space. In
some parking spaces there are restrictions imposed by the owner. The owner of the parking
space may do that by placing signs at the entrance. These signs have to be respected.
AUTOGAS
Autogas or LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is in most countries a combination of propane gas and
butane gas. LPG is produced during the winning and refining of oil and natural gas. In its natural state it
is gaseous but it is stored, under pressure, as a liquid in the LPG tank. LPG is a cleaner fuel than for
example petrol or diesel. The use of LPG helps to improve air quality. It is an odourless gas, but to make
it easier to identify for example a leak, an odour has been added to it.
THE PRINS SILVERLINE-2.0 LPG SYSTEM
The SilverLine-2.0 LPG system is based on the sequential injection of vaporous LPG into the engine.
‘Sequential’ means that the LPG injectors apply the LPG in a specific order or sequence which equals
the injection sequence of petrol injectors. The system also allows a more precise injection of the
mixture, thus complying with the tightened emission regulations. The SilverLine-2.0 LPG system is
equivalent to the original petrol injection technology and makes optimum use of the electronics already
present in your vehicle. With the Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG system you will experience no difference
between driving using LPG or petrol.
PRINS SILVERLINE-2.0 LPG COMPONENTS
(Schematic overview of the system on page 1)
1. Liquefied petroleum gas tank
The LPG tank takes most often the place of the spare wheel, in the boot or under the vehicle. The LPG is
stored under pressure in the storage tank. The tank is equipped with various safety appendages.
2. Filler
The filling point is mounted on the outside of the car or beside the fuel-filling under the fuel filler flap
and is provided with a removable protective cover. This must be removed prior to refuelling. A non-
return valve prevents the LPG from flowing back after refuelling.
3. LPG solenoid valves
There are mounted two solenoids in the system. One on the tank and one on the reducer.
When switching back to petrol mode, switching off the ignition or in case of an error the flow of LPG
will be cut off.

4. Tank sender
The tank sender is mounted in the LPG tank. The tank sender is an electrical device which measures the
fluid level in the tank.
5. Reducer/regulator
The reducer is mounted in the engine compartment.
The reducer transforms the LPG from a liquid state into a vapour state and will reduce the tank
pressure to system working pressure.
6. Temperature sensor
The temperature sensor is fitted into the reducer and measures the coolant temperature in the
reducer. The temperature sensor sets the switch over moment of the system.
7. Filter unit
The filter unit is fitted between the reducer and the injector rail. The filter unit is filtering the pollution
from the dry gas to protect the injectors.
8. Pressure / temperature sensor
The filter unit is equipped with a pressure/temperature sensor. The sensor measures the pressure and
the temperature of the gas.
9. Injector rail
The injector rail is fitted close to the inlet manifold. The injector rail consists of injectors which are
metering the supply of vapourized LPG sequential into the engine.
10. AFC-2.0 computer
The AFC-2.0 (computer) is located in the engine compartment. The AFC-2.0 is the centre of the
installation and processes all incoming signals and drives the different actuators.
11. Fuel selector switch
The fuel selector switch is located on the dashboard or on the centre console. With the switch you
operate the SilverLine-2.0 system.
12. Fuses
The fuses are located in an available place in the engine compartment. The fuses protect the electronic
circuit from overloading.

OPERATING THE PRINS SILVERLINE-2.0 LPG SYSTEM
Starting
The engine always starts on petrol. Depending on the engine temperature and after the system check,
the SilverLine-2.0 system will automatically switch over to LPG.
The fuel selector switch
The fuel selector switch has two selection modes:
1. Petrol mode: System LED extinguished (Prins logo)
2. LPG mode: System LED illuminated (Prins logo)
The light intensity of the LPG fuel level indication LEDs varies, depending on the amount of daylight.
Switching from petrol to LPG and reverse
While driving, you can always switch between both fuels by pressing the fuel selector switch. After
pressing the fuel selector switch the switch over prodedure will be started.
Petrol>>LPG: The Fuel status LED flashes. When the system has finished the switch over
prodedure the Fuel status LED will be illuminated constantly.
LPG>>Petrol: The Fuel status LED will be extinguished when the system has switched over to
petrol.
LPG fuel level indication
An indication of the fuel level is shown by five LEDs. Depending on the tank sensor used the fuel level
indication will be displayed in 5 or 6 stages. If the red LED is illuminated (low level), the last litres of LPG
are being used. This means that the tank is not yet completely empty and that there are still some litres
of LPG remaining, depending on the size and shape of the LPG tank placed in your car. Because of the
measuring principle of the system measuring the fuel level, this measurement cannot be any more
accurate. It is only an indication of the fuel tank contents. Experience will show how much further you
can drive if the red LED is illuminated.
Empty tank situation
During a tank empty situation the Silverline-2.0 switches back to petrol automatically, the fuel status
LED flashes and the buzzer beeps 3 times. By pressing the fuel selector switch you confirm the system
switches back to petrol. The fuel status LED extinguishes and the red LED is illuminated (low level). As
soon as the LPG tank is filled up with LPG it is possible to switch over to LPG-mode again by pressing the
fuel selector switch.

Diagnosis
A diagnose/system check LED and buzzer are integrated into the switch for diagnostic purposes. The
following error messages may occur:
1. Not critical system error: the diagnose/system check LED flashes.
Diagnosis: An error has occurred in the SilverLine-2.0 LPG system. It is still safe to drive on
LPG, even from an environmental point of view. The driving comfort may be
reduced.
Action: Consult your Prins dealer.
2. Critical system error: System automatically switches back to Petrol-model, the beeper will be
activated and the diagnose/system check LED is illuminated constantly.
Diagnosis: An error has occurred in the LPG system. It is not safe to drive on LPG.
Therefore, the system will automatically switch to petrol.
Action: Switch off buzzer by pressing the fuel selector switch.
Consult your Prins dealer.
REFUELLING
Filling the LPG tank:
- Turn off the engine!
- Remove filler cap from filler opening.
- Bayonet filler: place fuel pistol in filler opening and turn it a quarter to the right or left.
Pull the fuel pistol handle.
Euro filler: tighten fuel pistol nut on filler opening. Press handle on fuel pistol.
Italian filler: place fuel pistol in filler opening. Press handle on fuel pistol.
- Press LPG pump button. When the pump stops after a while, the maximum
tank level of 80% is reached. Stop refuelling by releasing the button.
- Now loosen the handle (some LPG may be released) and remove the fuel pistol.
Put the filler cap in place to avoid dirt, water, sand and dust from entering the filler opening and
therefore the entire system.
Attention: smoking and open flame are prohibited while filling the LPG tank. Also your cell phone
must be shut off.

FUEL CONSUMPTION
LPG has a lower energy value per volume unit than petrol. Therefore the consumption when using LPG
will be approximately 15-25% (depends on the ratio of propane to butane of the LPG you have
refuelled with) higher than the consumption you are used to get with petrol.
SAFETY ASPECTS
Disassembly of parts/system
Do not attempt under any circumstances to disconnect or disassemble LPG system components. The
system is pressurized and contains liquid gas. You run the risk of serious burns when doing this. Only
have an approved Prins dealer remove or repair the system.
Gas leakage
If you can smell LPG, switch back to petrol and contact an approved Prins dealer immediately.
Fire
In the case of a fire, leave the vehicle and take distance. The LPG tank is equipped with a safety valve
that allows the LPG to escape from the tank in case of abnormal pressures inside this tank. Thanks to this
device it is impossible for the LPG tank to explode. Always inform the emergency services that you have
a LPG system in the vehicle.
MAINTENANCE
When you drive on LPG, maintaining your car is even more important than when using petrol. Since the
specifications of LPG differ from those of petrol, minor engine problems which won't disturb the driving
comfort while using petrol, may cause major problems while using LPG. Follow the maintenance
instructions in order to use LPG without any problem.
General maintenance to the car regarding spark plugs, spark plug cables, ignition circuit,
valves, etc., has to be carried out according to the instructions of the car manufacturer.
Proof of maintenance according to the guidelines of the importer is obligatory (completely
filled in maintenance booklet).
Maintenance has to be carried out by a dealer authorised by the importer.
Adjustments and repairs on your Prins LPG system should only be carried out by a dealer
authorised by Prins.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your car won't run on LPG, follow the next checklist:
Is there enough LPG in the tank?
Is there enough petrol in the tank for starting on petrol?
Is a fuse in the SilverLine-2.0 LPG system defective (near LPG computer)?
Never use a heavier fuse than indicated on the fuse wire. This may cause damage to the system.
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please contact your Prins dealer. Do not carry out any repairs
or readjustments yourself, but have this done by an authorised Prins Dealer, Otherwise, the warranty
on your Prins SilverLine-2.0 LPG system will no longer be valid.

GENERAL DIRECTIVE FOR DAMAGE REPAIRS IN SPRAY/DRY BOOTHS
In case of damage repairs to a car with an LPG system, the LPG tank must be removed when the car is
placed in a spray/dry booth with a drying temperature higher than 60°C. Otherwise, the opening
pressure of the overpressure safety valve will be exceeded.
GENERAL DIRECTIVE FOR DISMANTLING LPG SYSTEM
When a vehicle with an LPG system is dismantled, be careful with the LPG tank, including pipes, due
to possible remaining pressure in these parts. Also remove LPG tank before the vehicle is crushed.
GENERAL DIRECTIVE FOR EXTREME TEMPERATURES
Extreme temperatures and the fuel composition can influence the operation of the LPG system. It
may take longer for the system to switch from petrol to gas. In extreme situations the system may
switch back to petrol, because the minimum conditions for the proper system operation are not met.
LPG FUEL QUALITY
The LPG must be as specified in the DIN EN 589 regulation at a minimum. If a fuel quality other than
specified is used, all terms of guarantee become void.
VALVECARE (OPTIONAL)
General
ValveCare is an additive dosing device developed exclusively for the Prins SilverLine-2.0 system.
ValveCare is used for the correct dosage of additives which prevent excessive valve and valve seat
wear. These additives are added to petrol, but not to LPG/CNG.
Diagnosis
For diagnostic purposes a beeper is integrated in the SilverLine-2.0 system switch. The following
warnings regarding ValveCare may occur:
The diagnose/system check LED flashes
Diagnosis: The ValveCare fluid in the bottle is empty and the bottle must be replaced as soon as
possible. It is still possible to drive on LPG for a maximum of 60 minutes, before the
system automatically switches back to petrol.
Action: Replace the bottle for a new bottle of ValveCare fluid (see page 5). The system will
switch back to LPG automatically. If necessary contact a Prins dealer for a new bottle
of ValveCare fluid.
Buzzer beeps + diagnose/system LED illuminated brightly (fuel level indication LEDs off)
Diagnosis: An error has occurred in the system. It is not safe to drive on LPG. Therefore, the
system will automatically switch to petrol.
Action: Switch off buzzer by pressing the fuel selector switch. Consult your Prins dealer.

Installing a new additive refill
Only remove the ValveCare refill when it is completely empty (to
avoid spillage and incorrect additive consumption trouble codes).
Remove the cap from the new refill and place the bottle upside
down with the foil side centred against the protruding pin
(bottle-opener). See illustration.
Push the pin through the foil and push the bottle smoothly down
to the screw thread. Then screw the bottle onto the screw
thread (3 complete rotations). Never move the bottle back
upwards to avoid of leaks/spillage.
Attention: always work with clean parts. Dirt/contamination may
damage the ValveCare dosing pump.
Prins recommends to check the consumption of additive regularly (fluid consumption: 1 bottle per
1280 liters LPG/CNG).
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
Extract from the General Conditions of Prins Autogassystemen B.V.. These General Conditions were
deposited with the Eindhoven Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 3 January 2011 under No.
17058344. The complete text of the General Conditions is available on the Prins website.
Warranty
14.1 Prins warrants that the Products it supplies are manufactured from sound materials and are
of sound workmanship. Should defects nonetheless occur in the Products supplied by Prins as
a result of manufacturing defects and/or defects in the material, Prins will, after examining
the defects in accordance with Article 14.3, repair the said defects, or cause them to be
repaired, within the specified term, or provide the components required for repair, or cause
them to be provided, replace the Products in full or in part, or reimburse at most the invoice
value of the Products, all this at its sole discretion. This warranty shall apply during twenty
four (24) months following delivery.
14.2 Should the Product supplied comprise a complete LPG system, this must have been built in by
Prins or by a dealer approved by Prins in accordance with the standard instructions and the
statutory requirements; if the system will be registered online (warranty portal) within thirty
(30) days of delivery, the warranty period referred to in Article 14.1 shall be twenty four (24)
months, subject to written deviations. If no online registration (warranty portal) will be
examined, the guaranty term of twenty four twenty four (24) months will start on the delivery
date.
14.3 At the request of Prins, the Purchaser shall allow an expert appointed by Prins to examine the
defective Product, failing which the right to warranty shall lapse. The decision of the expert
shall be binding for both parties. The costs of such expert appraisal shall be borne by Prins if
the Purchaser has made a claim under the warranty; they shall otherwise be at the expense of
the Purchaser.
14.4 Any claims under this warranty shall be reported to Prins by registered letter within eight (8)
days of their occurring. Should the complaint not be submitted within that period, any claim
vis-à-vis Prins shall lapse. Any legal proceedings instituted in respect thereof shall be brought
before the court within thirteen (13) months of the submission of the timely complaint on
pain of their lapsing.
14.5 Should the Purchaser request Prins to repair the Products at the Purchaser’s premises, Prins
shall be authorised to invoice the Purchaser for the costs incurred, including travel expenses,

accommodation and meals.
14.6 Defects resulting in whole or in part from the following shall not in any case be covered by the
warranty:
(a) failure to comply with the directions for use, operating instructions etc. or use other than
the intended normal use;
(b) normal wear and tear;
(c) alterations to the information on the warranty card;
(d) alterations to information on the stickers provided by Prins in accordance with its legal
requirements;
(e) assembly/installation, repairs or adjustment by third parties, or in any case by a dealer or
purchaser not recognised by Prins without Prins’s prior written consent;
(f) the application of any government regulation on the nature or quality of materials used;
(g) materials provided by the Purchaser to Prins to process or execute an order, unless
explicitly otherwise agreed;
(h) materials and/or goods used in consultation with the Purchaser;
(i) advice given by Prins, unless explicitly agreed otherwise;
(j) the processing of Products by the Purchaser, unless Prins explicitly states a specific manner
of processing in writing in its documentation brochures etc. or has permitted such without
any reservation in writing;
(k) external influences, installation mistakes;
(l) incorrect fuel or fuel of inferior quality;
(m)the use of an additive not approved in writing by Prins;
(n) demonstrable failure to comply with the maintenance schedule prescribed by the car
manufacturer, importer and/or Prins.
14.7 Prins shall not be held to any warranty nor shall it be liable to pay any compensation
whatsoever with regard to the Contract should the Purchaser fail to comply with any
obligation arising for it from the Contract concluded with Prins or from a related contract, or
fail to do so properly or on time.
14.8 Any claim under this Article shall expire should the Purchaser carry out repairs, disassembly or
other actions affecting the Products, or should it cause such repairs, disassembly or other
actions to be carried out, without Prins’s prior written consent.
14.9 Should Prins replace any components or Products in fulfilment of a warranty obligation, such
Products or components shall become its property. Prins shall be authorised to charge
transport costs for these Products or components unless Prins has given instructions for the
transport.
14.10 Without prejudice to the provisions of Article 15, Prins shall in no case be bound by any other
obligation, for example to pay compensation.
Liability
15.1 Prins shall not be liable for any costs, damage or the like that may arise as a direct or indirect
result of:
(a) force majeure, as set forth in these conditions;
(b) acts or omissions by the Purchaser, its employees, or other persons who have been put to
work by the Purchaser or on its behalf;
(c) the applicability of one of the circumstances specified in Article 14.6.
15.2 Prins shall only be liable to the extent of its insurance cover for any damage (or personal
damage) to Products or property belonging to the Purchaser and/or third parties if such has
occurred through any intentional act or omission or gross negligence on the part of Prins or of
those who have been put to work by Prins, with the amount insured by Prins being the
maximum. Should it turn out, for whatever reason, that no insurance cover exists with respect
to a given case, Prins’s liability shall be limited to the invoice value, exclusive of VAT.
15.3 Prins shall in no case be liable for any collateral damage suffered by the Purchaser or a third
