General instructions
• The products referred to in this manual
conform to the European Community
Directives and are therefore marked with .
• The unit is supplied with hazardous network
voltage (230V~). Leave servicing to skilled
personnel only. Never make any modications
on the unit not described in this instruction
manual, otherwise you will risk an electric
shock.
• Connection must be made to a power
supply system tted with ecient earthing
(Class I appliance according to standard EN
60598-1). It is, moreover, recommended to
protect the supply lines of the units from
indirect contact and/or shorting to earth by
using residual current devices appropriately
sized.
• The connection to the main network of
electric distribution must be carried out by
a qualied electrical installer. Check that the
main frequency and voltage correspond to
those the unit is designed for, as given on the
electrical data label.
• This unit is not for home use, only professional
applications.
• Never use the xture under the following
conditions:
- in places subject to excessive humidity;
- in places subject to vibrations or bumps;
- in places with temperature above 45°C or
below 2°C.
• Make certain that no inammable liquids,
water or metal objects enter the xture.
• Do not dismantle or modify the xture.
• All work must always be carried out by
qualied technical personnel. Contact the
nearest sales point for inspection or contact
the manufacturer directly.
• If the unit has to be put out of operation
denitively, take it to a local recycling plant
for a environmentally safe disposal.

• Il dispositivo funziona con pericolosa tensione di
rete (230V~). Non intervenire mai al suo interno
al di fuori delle operazioni descritte nel presente
manuale; esiste il pericolo di una scarica elettrica.
• È obbligatorio eettuare il collegamento ad
un impianto di alimentazione dotato di una
eciente messa a terra (apparecchio di Classe
I secondo norma EN 60598-1). Si raccomanda,

qualicato. Vericare che frequenza e tensione
della rete corrispondono alla frequenza ed alla
tensione per cui l’unità è predisposta, indicate
sulla targhetta dei dati elettrici.
• L’unità non per uso domestico solo per uso
professionale.
• Evitare di utilizzare l’unità:
- in luoghi soggetti ad eccessiva umidità;
- in luoghi soggetti a vibrazioni, o a possibili urti;
- in luoghi a temperatura superiore ai 45°C o
inferiori a 2°C.
• Evitare che nell’unità penetrino liquidi
inammabili, acqua o oggetti metallici.
• Non smontare e non apportare modiche
all’unità.
• Tutti gli interventi devono essere sempre e
solo eettuati da personale tecnico qualicato.
Rivolgersi al più vicino centro di assistenza
tecnica autorizzato.
• Se si desidera eliminare il dispositivo
denitivamente, consegnarlo per lo
smaltimento ad un’istituzione locale per il
riciclaggio.

• Se il dispositivo dovesse trovarsi ad operare
in condizioni dierenti da quelle descritte nel
presente manuale, potrebbero vericarsi dei

8 giorni dal ricevimento della merce.

Shipments and claims
The goods are sold“ex works”and always travel at
the risk and danger of the distributor.
Eventual damage will have to be claimed to the
freight forwarder. Every claim for broken packs
will have to be forwarded within 8 days from the
reception of the goods.
Warranty and returns
The guarantee covers the xture in compliance with
existing regulations. You can nd the full version of
the “General Guarantee Conditions” on our web site
www.musiclights.it. Please remember to register
the piece of equipment soon after you purchase
it, logging on www.musiclights.it. The product
can be also registered lling in and sending the
form available on your guarantee certicate.
For all purposes, the validity of the guarantee is
endorsed solely on presentation of the guarantee
certicate.
Music & Lights will verify the validity of the claim
through examination of the defect in relation
to proper use and the actual validity of the
guarantee. Music & Lights will eventually provide
replacement or repair of the products declining,
however, any obligation of compensation
for direct or indirect damage resulting from
faultiness.

Unità di potenza dimmer digitale modulare 12
canali da 10A.
• Controllo/Funzionamento: DMX512 (IN/OUT
XLR 3 poli), analogico 0-10V DC (IN DIN a 15
poli) o in modalità autonoma tramite 12 preset
di fabbrica, con velocità d’esecuzione regola-
bile. Indirizzi DMX, tempi di pre-riscaldamen-
to delle lampade, curva di dimmer (LINEAR,
SQUARE, SWITCH). Protezione con interruttori
magneto-termici bipolari.
• Interfaccia utente: display LCD per l’assegna-
zione dei canali, la selezione dei programmi, la
gestione della curva di dimmer, la correzione
di fase.
• Alimentazione: 230V~ 50/60 Hz. Collegamento
dell’alimentazione e del carico dei canali con
morsettiera interna. Carico massimo totale di
120A.
• Rareddamento: ventilazione forzata con pro-
tezione termica.
• Corpo: 4 unità standard rack 19”in acciaio.

1.2 Technical specications
Modular Digital Dimmer with12 channels (10A
each channel).
• Control/Running mode: DMX512 (IN through 3
poles XLR cable), 0-10V DC analogic data out-
put (IN through 15 pole DIN) or stand-alone
mode using 12 factory presets, with adjustable
speed. DMX address, lamps’ pre-heating time,
adjustable dimmer control curve (LINEAR,
SQUARE, SWITCH). Protection by means of bi-
polar magneto-thermic switches.
• User Interface: LCD display for the channels’al-
location, programs selection, dimmer control
curve and phase correction.
• Power supply: 230V~ 50/60Hz. Power supply
linkage and channels load by means of a ter-
minal board. Maximum electrical load: 120A.
• Cooling: forced ventilation with thermic pro-
tection from overheating.
• Body: 4 standard 19”rack units made of steel.
• Measures (WxHxD): 496x178x475 mm.
• Weight: 27 kg.

-2- FUNCTION AND SETTING
2.1 Menu default
Apply power to this unit, Default Menu is dis-
played. Default menu consist of a row of dynamic
images and a row characters, the rst roe repre-
sents the intensity value, and the second row in-
dicates the channel (g.1).
-2- FUNZIONI E IMPOSTAZIONI
2.1 Menù di default
Accesa l’unità, sul display appare il menù di de-
fault. Tale menù è composto da una linea di barre
mobili e da una riga di caratteri. La prima mostra
il valore dell’intensità mentre la seconda indica il
canale (g.1).

2.2 Menù di impostazione
Dal menù di default premere il tasto MENU per
entrare nei menu di impostazione del sistema. Ci
sono 6 menù: DMX Fail, Phase correction, DMX
address, Preheat, Curve e Preset. Tramite i tasti
UP/DOWN è possibile scorrere nei menù. Premere
ESC per uscire dai menù di impostazione.
2.3 DMX address
1. Premere i tasti UP/DOWN per scorrere al menù
DMX address (g.2).
2.2 Setting menus
In Default Menu, press MENU button to enter in
Setting Menus System. There are 6 menus; DMX
Fail, Phase correction, DMX address, Preheat,
Curve and Preset. Use the UP/DOWN button to se-
lect one of the 6 menus of the dimmer pack. You
can use ESC button to exit Setting Menus.
2.3 DMX address
1. Press UP/DOWN button to scroll to DMX ad-
dress menu (g.2).

2. Premere il tasto MENU per entrare nel sotto-
menù di sistema (g.3). Scegliere la modalità
Block start o Single tramite i tasti UP/DOWN.

• Block start: Il dimmer (12 canali) ha solo un in-
dirizzo start.
• Single: L’indirizzo DMX di ciascun canale è sele-
zionabile e tutti i canali possono avere gli stessi
indirizzi DMX.
• Block start: the complete dimmer (12 chan-
nels) has only one start address.
• Single: the DMX address of each channel is se-
lectable, and all channels can select the same
DMX addresses.
3. Premere i tasti UP/DOWN eventualmente per
scorrere al menù Block start (g.4) e premere
il tasto MENU per entrare nella modalità Block
start (g.5).

menu (g.4), and press MENU button to enter

4. Nella modalità Block start è possibile usare i ta-
sti UP/DOWN (g.6) per selezionare l’indirizzo
di inizio dei 12 canali da [001a 512].

5. Se si seleziona la modalità Single è possibile ef-
fettuare le seguenti impostazioni Chan[1-12],
[001-512] tramite i tasti UP/DOWN.

6. Nella modalità Single premere il tasto MENU
per scegliere il canale e l’indirizzo rispettivo
(g.9).

7. Quando il canale è attivo, premere i tasti UP/
DOWN per selezionare i canali tra 1 e 12. Quan-
do l’indirizzo è attivo premere i tasti UP/DOWN
per selezionare l’indirizzo tra 1 e 512 (g.10).
8. Premere il tasto ESC per memorizzare e tornare
al passo iniziale (g.11).

activated, press UP/DOWN button to select
from [001-512] (g.10).
8. Press ESC button to save in memory and back

2.4 DMX Fail
1. Premere UP/DOWN eventualmente per scorre-
re al menu DMX Fail (g.12).
• Hold: mantiene l’ultimo
segnale DMX ricevuto.
• Analog: attiva l’ingresso
analogico (0-10V).
• Progr: 01-12. Attiva i
programmi interni 01 -
12 automaticamente.
2.4 DMX Fail
1. Press UP/DOWN button to scroll to DMX Fail
menu (g.12).
2. Premere MENU per entrare al sotto-menù di si-
stema (g.13). È possibile usare i tasti UP/DOWN
per scegliere tra Hold/Analog/Prog: 01-12.
2. Press MENU button to enter sub-menu system
(g.13). You can use UP/DOWN button to se-
lect Hold/Analog/Progr: 01-12.
• Hold: last received DMX
signal is held.
• Analog: the analogue in-
put (0-10V) is activated.
• Progr: 01-12. Starts built-
in programs 01-12 auto-
matically.
3. Se si seleziona Hold oppure Analog premere
ESC per salvare (g.14).

4. Se si seleziona Progr01-12, premere ESC per
attivare il menù velocità (g.15).

locity menu is activated (g.15).
5. You can select the chasing velocity from 0.01s
to 20.0S using UP/DOWN button (g.16).
5. È possibile selezionare la velocità di esecuzio-
ne da 00.1 a 20.0S tramite il tasti UP/DOWN
(g.16).
6. Terminata l’impostazione desiderata, premere
ESC per memorizzare la congurazione e per
tornare al passo iniziale (g.20).

1. Premere i tasti UP/DOWN per scorrere al menu

6. Una volta attivata la funzione canale, sceglie-
re tra il n.1 e il n.6 premendo i tasti UP/DOWN.
Una volta attivata la funzione valore, sceglie-
re il valore tra 0 e 50% premendo i tasti UP/
DOWN (g.28).
