Locating yourbuilt-inhob
Afterremoving the packagingmaterialfromthe applianceanditsaccessories,
ensurethatthe hob isnotdamaged.If you suspectanydamage,do notuse
the appliance,contactanauthorised servicepersonaloraqualified electrician
immediately.
·Thisbuilt-inhob istobe inserted intoacutoutofaworktop.It will be
electricallyconnected withthe switchboxbelowcounterlevel,especially
provided forthispurpose.

·Screwthe 4worktop mounting bracketson the side wallsofproduct.
·Applythe one-sided self-adhesivesealing tape supplied all the wayround
the loweredge ofthe cooking surfacealong the outeredge ofthe glass
ceramicpanel.Donotstretchit.

Electricalconnection ofyourhob
·Beforeproceeding withthe electricalconnection,verifythatthe current
carryingcapacityofthesystemand the socketisadequateforthemaximum
powerrating ofthe hob.
·Electricalinstallation ofthe residenceand the electricalcurrentplug in
usemustbe earthed and conformwithsafetyregulations.
·If thereisno dedicated hob circuitand fused switch,theymustbe installed
byaqualified electrician beforethe hob isconnected.
·The fused switchmustbe easilyaccessibleoncethe hob hasbeen
installed.
·Donotuseadaptors,multiplesocketsand/orextension leads.
·Thisapplianceconformswiththe requirementsofthe following EEC
Directives:
1.Vitroceramichob EEC/73/23 and 93/68,EEC/89/336 relating to
radiointerference,
2.EEC/89/109 relating tocontactwithfoods.
·Acircuitbreakerwithacontactopening ofatleast3mm,rated 20 Aand
delayed functioning type mustbe installed inthe supplycircuit.
·The supplycablemustbe H05VV-F3X2,5mm²/60227 IEC53.You will
find the connection diagramshownon the backofyourappliance.
·During installation,pleaseinsurethatisolatedcablesareused.Anincorrect
connection mightdamage yourappliance.The guarantee will notcover
suchdamages.
·All repairsmustbe carried outbyan authorised servicepersonalora
qualified electrician.
·Unplug yourappliancebeforeeachmaintenance.Forreconnection,follow
the connection diagrams.

Mode Descriptions
The applianceisoperated bytouching buttonsand the functionsare
confirmed bydisplays and acousticsignals.
NOTE:See the section on HOBRESETifyou see aflashing Hinanyof
the displays.
Stand-By-Mode S-Mode The mainsare applied tothe hob control
and all heaterdisplays are off oraresidual
heatdisplayisactive.
Operating-Mode B-Mode Atleastone heaterdisplay showsa heat
setting between ´0`and ´9`
Lock Mode VR-Mode The hob control islocked.

Turning theappliance on /off ..
If theapplianceisinStand-By-Mode,itisputinOperating-Mode bypressing
the On/Off button atleast1second.Abeep indicatesasuccessful
operation.
Onall heatersa´0`appearsand all DecimalPointofthe heaterflashes.
If thereisno operation within10 sec,the displayofall heaterswill turnoff.
If the displays areturned off, the heaterwill be settooff.
If ispressed morethan 2sec(inOperating-Mode),the applianceis
switched off and issetintothe off mode again.The appliancecanbe turned
off bypressing atanytime;even ifotherbuttonsarepressed
simultaneously..............................................................................
If thereisresidualheatremaining,thiswill be indicated byaflashing Hin
the corresponding HeaterDisplay.
SelectHeater.
If asingleheaterischosen withthe corresponding Active/DeactiveHeater
Button ,the DecimalPointofthe related HeaterDisplayflashes.Forthe
selected heater,you can setthe heatlevelbetween 1-9bytouching the
HeatSetting Buttonsor..
The buttonsmustbe pressed within3sec,otherwisethe heaterselection
iserased and heatsetting dotwill disappear(DecimalPoint).If thereisno
furtheroperation within10 sec,the heaterfallsback intooff mode.
The heatsetting can always be changed bypressing orbetween
level1-9..
Eachbutton operation oreachdisplaychange isaccompanied byabeep.

SetCooking LevelWithand WithoutHeatBoost.
All heatersareequipped withheatboostfunctionality.
If the heatboostisactive,then the heaterwill be operated withmaximum
powerforthe period ofthe heatboosttime,whichisdependenton the
selected heatsetting.Thisisindicated byaflashing ´A`,alternating withthe
heatsetting value (e.g.´A`and then ´9`) inthe heaterdisplay.Oncethe
heatboosttimehasended,onlythe heatsetting will be displayed.
Ifyou wanttouseheatboostlevel9mustbe selected bypressing starting
fromlevel0.Aftersetting the heattolevel9,´A`and the heatsetting will
be displayed alternately.Thismeansthatlevel9and heatboostisactive.
Continue topress the button tosetalowerheatsetting.
The heatboostcan be turned off bypressing until heatsetting ´0`is
selected.
If the heatboostshouldbe used,itcan always be activated byactuating
againifthe heatsetting issettolevel9.Inthe heatdisplay´A/9`flashes.
TurnOff IndividualHeaters
Aselectiveheatercan be turned off intwoways:
.Simultaneousoperation ofand buttons
·Reduction ofthe heatsetting to´0`byoperating button
Simultaneousoperation ofand buttons
The corresponding heatermustbe chosen withone ofthe Active/Deactive
HeaterButton ,the DecimalPointofthe selected HeaterDisplayflashes.
Toturnoff the heater,and mustbe pressed atthe sametime.Abeep
signalsoundsand ´0`appearsinthe heatsetting display.
If thereisaresidualheatforthisheaterremaining,thiswill be indicated by
astaticdisplay´H`inthe heatsetting display.
Reduction ofthe heatsetting to´0`byoperating button

Key Lock .
Keylock functionalityisforblocking and setthe applianceintoasave
modusduring operation.Touchmodificationsasforexampleriseheat
settingsand othersshouldnotbe possible.It isonlypossibletoswitchthe
applianceoff. .
Tolock the currentoperating mode,press the KeyLock button forat
least2seconds.Thisoperation isacknowledged byabeep.The KeyLock
Indicatorflashesand the controlsarelocked..
The heatercan onlybe locked inOperating Mode.
If the heaterislocked,onlycan be operated,all otherbuttonsare
disabled.Onlythe On-Off switchwill operate.If you switchoff the
appliance,you mustswitchiton againand press the lock button tounlock
the appliancebeforeyou can useit. .

Afterpressing 2sec,the KeyLock Indicatordisappears.Now,the hob
controlisunlocked and can be operated normally.

The heatercan alsobe turned off byreducing the heatsetting to´0`.
When HeaterDisplayindicates´0`,the DecimalPointofthe selected heater
will alsoturnoff.
If thereisaresidualheatforthisheaterremaining,thiswill be indicated by
astaticdisplay´H`inthe heatsetting display.

OverTemperatureSwitchOff
Due tothe controlpanelbeing closetothe fronttwoheatersitcan gettoo
hottotouchifthe panshavebeen badlyplaced sothe bottomedge ofthe
pan isclosetobutnottouching the controlbuttons.
Topreventthe hob controlunitfromdamage,the controlmonitorsthe
temperatureand switchesoff, ifthecontrolpanelexceeds60ºC.All 4heater
displays show´t`,until the hob coolsdown.
The following safetyfunctionsareavailabletoavoidunintended operations
ofthe hob control.
SensorSafetyCutOff
Topreventthe appliancefromunwanted,randomsensoroperation,sensor
monitoring isincluded.
Incaseofone ormorebuttonsarepressed longerthan 12 sec,the sensor
monitoring routine indicateswithabeep,thatwrong operation (potorother
objectplaced on the button,sensorfailure,etc.)and switchesoff the
appliance.
The safetyturnoff causesthe hob toturnoff tostandby.An´F`will flash
inall heaterdisplays oncebeforeswitching tostandby.
If residualheatispresent, ´H`will be displayed inthe appropriateheater
displays.

Afterthe hob coolsthe ´t`displays will be erased and the hob controlenters
standbymode.Thismeansthatthe usercan reactivatethe applianceby
touching .
ResidualHeatFunctions.
Afterthe hob isturned off when cooking isfinished,thereissomeheat
stored inthe vitroceramicglass called residualheat. The hob can calculate
roughlyhowhotthe glass is.If the calculated temperatureishigherthan
+60 °C,the corresponding heaterdisplaywill flashan ´H`symbol.The
residualheatdisplayisshownaslong asthe calculated heatertemperature
ishigherthan +60 °C..
The displayofthe residualheathasthe lowestpriorityand isoverwritten
byeveryotherdisplayvalue suchassafetyturnoff'sand displaying error
codes..
HOBRESET.
When the Hob isfirstturned on afterinstallation orafterapoweroutage
during operation,the Hob will displayaflashing ´H`on all orsomeheater
displays..
Whichdisplays flashan ´H`dependson mode ofoperation when the power
outage happened..
Thisisdue tothe Hob retaining heaterinformation initsmemory,thisisnot
afaultand isnormal..
Toresetthe Hob,pressand holdthe top left heater,bottomleft heaterand
the buttonsatthe sametimeforroughly2seconds.

Cookwarewithrough bottomsshouldnotbe used sincethesecan scratch
the ceramicsurface.The bottomofthe cookwareshouldbe asthick and
flataspossible.Beforeuse,makesurethatcookwarebottomsareclean
and dry.
Always placethe cookwareon the cooking zone beforeitisswitched on.
If possible,always placethe lidson the cookware.Bottomofthe cookware
mustnotbe smallerorlargerthan the cooking zones,theyshouldbe atthe
propersizeasindicated below.
Beforecleaning the hob,firstdisconnectfromthe electricalsupplysocket.
Then ensurethatthereisno residualheatstoredintheappliance.Vitroceramic
glass isveryresistanttohigh temperatureand overheating.If thereisresidual
heatstored inthe appliance,´H`isflashing inthe HeaterDisplay.Inorder
toavoidburns,letthe appliancecooldown.
CLEANINGTHECERAMICHOB.
Beforeyou begincleaning makesurethatthe hob isswitched off.
Removespillagesand othertypesofencrustations.
Dustorfood particlescan be removed withadampcloth.
If you useadetergent, pleasemakesurethatitisnotabrasive,Donotuse
abrasivecleanersorscouring powdersasthesecan damage the ceramic
surfaceofthe hob.
All tracesofthe cleanermustbe removed withadampcloth.
Dust, fatand liquidsfromfood thathasboiled overmustbe removed as
soon aspossible.
If theyareallowed toharden theybecomeincreasinglydifficulttoremove.

Thisisespeciallytrue inthe caseofsugar/syrup mixtureswhichcould
permanentlypitthe surfaceofthe hob ifleft toburnon it.
If anyoftheseproductshasmelted on the ceramicsurface,you should
removeitimmediately(when the surfaceisstill hot)byusing ascraperto
avoidanypermanentdamage tothe surfaceofthe hob (availablefromthe
storewhe reyou p u rch a se d thisappli a nce).
Donotputarticleson the hob whichcan melt: i.e.plastic,aluminiumfoil,
sugar,sugarsyrup mixturesetc.
Avoidusing aknifeorothersharputensil asthesemaydamage the ceramic
surface.
Donotusesteelwooloran abrasivespongewhichcouldscratchthesurface
permanently.
