Function
The level sensor DULCOLEVEL is a radar sensor for
level measurement of all types of liquids in plastic
tanks and IBC storage tanks:
Measures the distance between the sensor and
the surface of the liquid.
Contactless measurement through the plastic wall
of the tank.
Suitable for all ProMinent plastic storage tanks as
well as plastic tanks from other suppliers.
Configure the sensor by using the DULCONNEX
Blue App.
Notice: Use of a Mixer
When using a mixer, the height of the liquid level may
change. This can lead to incorrect measurement
results. An even liquid level is required for a reliable
measurement result. Select the measuring point out-
side the flow if possible.
Notice: You need the last 4 digits of the serial number
(Ser.No. on the nameplate) to connect the sensor with
the DULCONNEX Blue App (see Initial Start-up).
In the example shown, this corresponds to the digits
"8234".
Notice: The QR code on the nameplate is for
ProMinent internal purposes only.
The device meets the requirements for electrical safety
according to EN 61010-1. The device meets the require-
ments of the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU and
the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and is CE marked.

Observe the following mounting instructions:
Tilting the sensor can lead to measurement errors.
Always mount the sensor horizontally.
Secure the sensor against movement. Also ensure
that the tank is standing securely.
Make sure that the tank surface and the sensor bot-
tom are clean.
The tank must be easily accessible (min. 80 cm
around the tank).
Mount Sensor
You can mount the sensor with the mounting plate,
straps or your own fixtures.
Mounting
Notice: Mount sensor horizontal to tank with a maxi-
mum incline of +/- 4°.
Mount Sensor with Mounting Plate
To attach the sensor to the plate, screw the sensor to the
mounting holes provided on both sides using a screw
with a diameter ≤5mm or ≤M5.
As an alternative to the mounting plate, you can also use
other equipment.
Never drill through the tank! Liquids can leak out.

11 EN
Mount Sensor with Strap
To mount the sensor with a strap, pass the strap through
the alignment brackets provided.
Make sure that the sensor cannot move during opera-
tion.
Application Option 1 and 2
You can connect the sensor to your pump via
Bluetooth®to send level information directly to the pump.
The pump is thus able to output corresponding status
messages, which can be monitored e. g. via
DULCONNEX or PLC. For more information, please refer
to the original operating instruction of your pump.
1. Connect plug-inpower supply to sensor (A).
2. Plug in power supply (B).

Electrical Installation

12
EN 12
Electrical Installation Initial Startup
Application Option 3
You can connect the sensor directly to the PLC with
a 0/4-20 mA connection.
The sensor has an active mA output: The mA output
actively supplies an output current without a supply
voltage being applied from the outside. The mA output is
galvanically isolated.
The mA output can be configured via Bluetooth with the
DULCONNEX Blue app via Bluetooth.
ATTENTION
Destruction of the evaluation devices
Only passive evaluation devices may be connected to
the mA output. If the mA output is connected to a PLC,
for example, the connection type on the PLC must be
selected as 4-wire. The connection type 2-wire leads
to a malfunction and possibly to the destruction of the
evaluation devices.
Procedure:
1. Connect connection cable to sensor (A).
2. Connect cable to the PLC (B).
