ProMobility Magnet Vest Harness XS User manual

It is important to read and understand this guide before installation and use of
the Magnet Vest Harness, this will help ensure its optimal use and performance.
The Magnet Vest Harness is designed for use as a postural support harness in
a vehicle, car, bus, etc. and is NOT a safety belt, you MUST ensure that the
Magnet Vest Harness is used only in conjunction with the vehicles seat belt
system for the user’s safety.
The Magnet Vest Harness is designed for use by seated passengers and there
are a variety of sizes available to suit children up to adult.
The Magnet Vest Harness is NOT a safety belt, but a fixation belt to ensure the
user’s proper location on the vehicle seat.
The Magnet Vest Harness must not be used for any purpose other than
described, the CE marking and warranty are only valid with correct use.

1. How to Use:
Magnet Vest is designed as a waistcoat.
Which is fitted on the passenger prior to boarding
the vehicle.
1. Use the Magnet Key supplied to remove the
Magnet Buttons from the vest.
2. Ensure to keep control of the Magnet Buttons
as these can be a choking hazard.
3. Fit the Magnet Vest on the user as you would
a waistcoat, and secure the Velcro strip to
the front panels.
4. Bring the crotch strap between the user’s
legs, and locate on the appropriate button
pins to the front of the Vest.
(where possible use all 3 button pins when
locating the crotch strap, for some user’s it is
not possible to locate the crotch strap on all 3
button pins, don’t worry this is fine).
5. Now lightly tension and lock the side
adjusters each side for a snug fit.
6. The passenger is now ready to be seated in
the vehicle.
7. Horizontal Fixing Straps:
Once the passenger is seated, take each
fixing strap, wrap to the rear of the vehicle
seat, latch and adjust tightly.
Ensure you do not trap the vehicles seatbelt
while positioning the fixing straps.
8. Vertical Fixing Strap:
While seating the passenger, you must insert
the lower part of the fixing strap through the
squeeze gap at the bottom of the vehicle
seat backrest. Then place the upper part of
the fixing strap over the backrest (but below
the headrest), latch to the lower part of the
strap and adjust tightly.
2. Maintenance:
The Magnet Vest Harness is made of polyamide and the waistcoat is made of
soft breathable 100% polyester fabric on the back, and 100% polyester net fabric
on the front.
The Magnet Vest Harness can be washed at40˚C, do not tumble dry.
NOTE: Do not wash the Magnet Buttons as damage will occur.
Daily maintenance before use:
Inspect the harness for damage and wear.
Check that all magnet buttons function correctly using the magnet keys
provided.
Ensure fixing strap buckles are intact and in working order, including webbing
adjusters.
If damage or wear are present, remove the harness from service and arrange
for repair or replacement.

Never leave passengers unattended, when using the Magnet Vest or any
other harness system.
3. Warranty:
The manufacturer's warranty covers manufacturing, materials and functions of
the equipment supplied. The warranty is applicable when the equipment is
operated in accordance with instructions for use and for the purpose for which
the equipment is designed.
The warranty covers repair of defects in the equipment supplied.
Warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, or damages due to misuse and
abuse.
All repairs and replacement of components during the warranty period shall be
made only with prior consent and approval of the manufacturer.
Warranty does not cover shipping, postage, packaging or any other costs
associated.
The warranty period is for 12 months from date of supply.
