Thank you for purchasing PRUNUS J-166 radio. In order to get the best from the radio please read
this manual carefully before using it and take special notice of the section on precautions.
Precautions
◆Keep the radio dry all the time. Rain water and other moisture or liquid substance may contain
minerals which will corrode components within the radio. If the radio was wet accidentally, please
remove the batteries and dry both radio and batteries. And only on the condition that the radio is
dry completely can you install the batteries back.
◆Don't use or save this radio in any dusty environment.
◆ Don't put the radio in extremes of hot or cold.
◆ Don't throw, drop or shake the radio.

Battery
1. Battery Installation
1) Follow the direction of arrow mark printed on the Battery Compartment Cover to open the cover.
2) Follow the electrode marks inside battery compartment to install the two AA batteries.
3) Close the battery compartment cover.
Note:
◆ Don't use a new battery and old battery together.
◆ Don't use batteries of different type or brand together.
◆ Don't use batteries with different power (mAh).
◆ Don't use alkaline battery and rechargeable battery together.
2. Battery Indicator
As long as the radio is on, the battery indicator is always on until the batteries run out.
Band Switching and Power ON/OFF
Turn <⑥AM/FM/OFF> button up to choose the mode between AM and FM, which also means the
radio is on. Meanwhile, turning <⑥AM/FM/OFF> button down to OFF will turn off the radio.
Volume Adjustment
When listening to the radio, turn <⑤Volume Knob> down to lower the volume, whilst turn <⑤
Volume Knob> up to raise the volume.
Radio Stations Reception
Turn <④Tuning Knob> to adjust the position of orange pointer inside <①Frequency Display> to
select your radio station.
Note:
◆To receive AM and FM stations, please refer to the related frequency display.
◆To get better reception on AM and FM stations, please adjust the length of radio antenna and
change the position or orientation of the radio properly.
Earphones
In order not to disturb others around you, you can listen to the radio with earphones.
1. Plug the earphone into <⑧Earphone Jack> and the radio will automatically switch to earphone
mode while the built-in speaker will be muted.
2. When you pull out the headphones, the radio will switch back to the speaker mode. Please adjust
the volume in time to meet the optimal volume.
Notes:
◆Don't continuously listen to the radio with earphones as it may cause tinnitus.
◆Don't listen to the radio with earphones when you are crossing the street. It's dangerous.
Human Body Induction
When reception is weak, it will get better if you hold the radio in hand, but its reception will be weak
again when your hand is away. This is a common phenomenon called "Human Body Induction"
among almost all the radios.

Wartung

Batterie
1. Batterie-Installation
1) Öffnen Sie die Batterieabdeckung.
2) Folgen Sie den Elektrodenmarkierungen im Batteriefach, um zwei AA-Batterien zu installieren.
3) Schließen Sie den Batteriedeckel.
Hinweis:
◆Verwenden Sie keine neue Batterie und alte Batterie zusammen.
◆Verwenden Sie keine Batterien verschiedener Typen oder Marken zusammen.
◆Verwenden Sie keine Batterien mit unterschiedlicher Leistung (mAh).

2. Batterieanzeigefunktion
Solange das Funkgerät eingeschaltet ist, ist die Batterieanzeige immer eingeschaltet, bis die Batter-
ien leer sind.
Bandumschaltung und Netzschalter ON/OFF
Drehen Sie die Taste <⑥AM/FM/OFF> nach oben, um den Modus zwischen AM und FM auszu-
wählen. Dies bedeutet auch, dass das Radio eingeschaltet ist. Wenn Sie die Taste <⑥AM/FM/OFF>
auf OFF stellen, wird das Radio ausgeschaltet.
Lautstärkeeinstellung
Wenn Sie Radio hören, drehen Sie den <⑤Lautstärke> nach unten, um die Lautstärke zu verringern,
während Sie den <⑤Lautstärke> nach oben drehen, um die Lautstärke zu erhöhen.
Wählen des Radiosenders

Kopfhörer

radio anzuhören.
1. Schließen Sie den Kopfhörer an den Ausgang von <⑧ Kopfhörerbuchse> an, und das Radio
schaltet automatisch in den Kopfhörermodus um, während der eingebaute Lautsprecher automa-
tisch ausgeschaltet wird.

traitant l’entretien.
Mantenimiento
◆ Garder votre radio au sec. Toute humidité ou liquide peut conduire à la corrosion de certains
matériaux. En cas d’exposition accidentelle à de l’eau, retirer les piles, puis laisser sécher compléte-
ment la radio et les piles séparément avant de les réassembler.
◆ Éviter les environnements poussiéreux pour le stockage ou l’utilisation.
◆ Ne pas exposer à des températures extrêmes (chaudes ou froides).
◆ Ne pas jeter, laisser tomber ou secouer la radio.

Batterie
1. Installation des Piles
1) Retirez le couvercle de l’emplacement des piles
2) Installez 2 piles AA en respectant les polarités indiquées dans le compartiment.
3) Refermez le couvercle.
Attention:
◆ Ne pas utiliser une pile usagée et une pile neuve ensemble
◆ Eviter d’utiliser des piles différentes (type ou marque)
◆ Ne pas utiliser des piles de différentes intensités (mAh)
◆ Ne pas utiliser 1 pile alcaline et 1 pile rechargeable ensemble
2. Indicateur d'alimentation
Tant que la radio est allumée, l'indicateur de batterie est toujours allumé jusqu'à ce que les piles
soient épuisées.
Commutation de mode et ouvrir ou fermer la radio
Tournez le bouton 《⑥AM/FM/OFF 》vers le haut pour choisir le mode entre AM et FM, ce qui
signifie également que la radio est ouverte. En attendant,mettez le bouton 《⑥AM/FM/OFF》 sur
《OFF》 afin de fermer la radio.
Ajustement du volume
Lorsque vous écoutez la radio, tournez le bouton《⑤Volume》vers le bas pour baisser le volume.

Écouteurs
Afin de ne pas déranger votre entourage, vous pouvez utiliser un casque pour écouter vos radio.
1. Connecter votre casque à la prise jack 《⑧Sortie casque》 afin que le son soit directement
rediriger vers les écouteurs ; le haut-parleur est alors désactivé.
2. Quand vous débranchez les écouteurs, la radio se remet automatiquement en marche sur les
haut-parleurs. Pensez d'abord à ajuster le volume, en fonction de votre environnement et de vos
habitudes.
Attention:
◆ Limiter dans le temps l’utilisation d’écouteurs afin de préserver votre ouïe.
◆ Rester vigilant aux dangers qui vous entourent (il est plus prudent de ne pas utiliser d’écouteurs
lors d’une traversée de voie automobile).

capter son faibles ; votre corps agit comme une antenne.

Mantenimiento
◆ Mantenga la radio seca en todo momento. El agua de lluvia y otro tipo de humedad o sustancia
líquida puede contener minerales que corroerán los componentes dentro de la radio. Si la radio se
moja accidentalmente, por favor quite las pilas y seque tanto la radio como las pilas, y solo vuelva

Batería
1. Instalación de las pilas
1) Abra la tapadera del compartimento para las pilas.

2. Luz indicadora de batería
Mientras la radio esté encendida, el indicador de pilas estará siempre encendido hasta que las pilas
se agoten.
Cambio de banda y encendido / apagado
Gire el botón <⑥AM/FM/OFF> hacia arriba para elegir el modo entre AM y FM, lo que también
significa que la radio está encendida. Mientras tanto, al girar el botón <⑥AM/FM/OFF> a la posición
OFF, se apagará la radio.
Ajuste de volumen
Cuando escuche la radio, gire la <⑤Botón de volumen> hacia abajo para bajar el volumen, mien-
tras que gire la <⑤Botón de volumen> hacia arriba para subir el volumen.
Cambio de emisora de radio
Gire el <④Perilla de modificación de frecuencia> para ajustar la posición del puntero naranja
dentro de <①Pantalla de visualización de frecuencia> para seleccionar su estación de radio.
◆ Para recibir emisoras FM o AM, por favor diríjase a la pantalla de visualización de frecuencias.
◆ Para obtener una mejor recepción en emisoras FM/AM, por favor utilice la antena. También
puede regular la longitud de la antena de radio para obtener una mejor recepción o por favor
cambie la posición o la orientación de la radio.
Auriculares
Con tal de no molestar a otros a tu alrededor, puedes usar auriculares para escuchar tus ficheros
mp3.
1. Conectar los auriculares en <⑧Jack de auriculares> y la radio se conectará automáticamente a
modo de escucha por auriculares y el altavoz dejará de sonar.
2. Cuando desconecte los auriculares, la radio volverá al modo de altavoz. Ajuste el volumen antes
de tiempo, para adaptarlo al entorno que lo rodea y a sus propias necesidades auditivas.
Nota:
◆ No utilice auriculares de forma continuada para escuchar la radio, ya que puede causar tinnitus.
◆ No utilice auriculares para escuchar la radio cuando esté cruzando la calle, ya que es peligroso.
Inducción del cuerpo Humano
Cuando la señal es floja, esta mejorará al sujetar la radio con la mano, pero la señal menguará
cuando deje de sujetarlo. Este fenómeno se conoce como “Inducción del cuerpo humano”, algo
común con todas las radios.

raccomanda di leggere il manuale attentamente prima di utilizzare l’apparecchio, con particolare

Manutenzione
◆ Tenere la radio asciutta in ogni momento. L'acqua piovana e l’umidità o qualsiasi sostanza

Batteria
1. Installazione batterie

Accensione e cambio di banda
Girare il pulsante <⑥AM/FM/OFF> per scegliere la modalità tra AM e FM, il che significa anche che la
radio è accesa. Nel frattempo, girando il pulsante <⑥AM/FM/OFF> su OFF, la radio si spegne.
Regolazione del volume
Quando si ascolta la radio, ruotare la <⑤ Manopola del volume> verso il basso per abbassare il

Cuffie
Per non disturbare le persone attorno a te, puoi utilizzare le cuffie per ascoltare i radio.
1. Inserisci le cuffie in <⑧Jack per cuffie> e la radio verrà riprodotta automaticamente in modalità
di ascolto attraverso le cuffie, silenziando gli altoparlanti.
2. Quando estrai le cuffie, la radio passerà alla modalità altoparlanti. Assicurati di regolare il volume
in tempo, per adeguarlo all’ ambiente circostante e alle tue esigenze.
◆ Non utilizzare continuamente le cuffie per ascoltare la radio poiché potrebbe causare danni
all’udito.
◆ Non utilizzare gli auricolari per ascoltare la radio quando si attraversano strade, è pericoloso.
Induzione del corpo Umano
Quando la ricezione è debole, potrà migliorare se la radio viene tenuta in mano mentre peggiorerà
quando la mano verrà allontanata. E’ un fenomeno comune a tutte le radio, definito come “Indu
zione del corpo umano”.
