General Information
Introduction
The P ~H200 is a panel, or blind mow1ted,
2-pl
ace (e xp anda bl e with lntelli PAX) m ona ural
in tercomsystem (IC S) designed specifically for
high-noise aircraft.
In addition lo lntelliVOX® (PS Engineer-
ing's proprietary intercom squelchprotoco l) , the
PMl200includ es Active ~ 1i crophone f roccss-
ing (A MP). TI1i s sign al processing is specifica ll y
d
es ig ne d to i mp rove tl1c intelligibility ofh u ma n
speech, so don't expect thePM1200 to sound
like a nom1al intercom.

Description
The PM 1200 is a 2-place(unless ex-
panded ), panel-mou nte d in tercom with P~ Engi-
neering's proprietaty lntelli VO X® intercompr o-
t oco l. The audio has been fu rther enhanced with
extra audio
fll tering for t he microphones, and
added headphone audio power.
The unit can be used
as e it her vo i ce -
ac tivated, or pu sh to talkintercommunication s,
by simply pus hin g a front panel switch.

pers on who pr esses their radio PTT to be heard
over the aircraft radio. lfboth pilot and copilot

On/Off and Volume
Pr ess the left hand knob to tum the unit on
and o ff .. This is also the f.<til - sa fe position. When-
ever th e w1 it is off , or po wer r emove d, the pi lot 's
hea dset is connected directly to the aircraftaudio
syste m.

Push-to- Talk Intercom

com ca pability is user selectable .
To activate the PTT -lCS Mo de, pu sh the
PTT -ICS ov cn·ide s·witch on t he copilot vo lume
controL Us ing theseparate ICS .l'TT (not the
radio PIT) butt on for pil ot and one f or the copi-
l ot will all ow th eir voice on the i nter com.
Intercom Mode Select
The cent er sw itch is a mode control lb.at al-
lo ws t he pil ot to tailor th e int e rcom .func tion to
suit flight conditions. Regardl ess of conlig ura -
ti
on , the pi l ot w ill al ways hear the aircraft rad io.
NOTE: lfther e is a po wer failure to the
PM1200, or i ftl 1e po wer sw i.t ch is tumed off,
t he copilotwill not hear th e ai rc r aft ra di o. Only
the pil ot is conn ec ted di rectly to the air craft ra-
dio.
