1 Description
USB to RS485 converter for u grading devices without USB or LAN
connector.
PxFlasher software is rovided with the device, available to download
from manufacturer’s age (htt s:// xm. l/).
2 PXM device update manual using FTDI
cable
1. Download the device u date ?le (*.upg) from the manufacturer’s
website.
2. From the FTDI Chi website, download the drivers for the FTDI cable
(htt s://www.ftdichi .com/Drivers/VCP.htm), and then install them.
3. After installing the drivers for the FTDI cable, connect the cable to the
PC and to the device according to the diagram in section 3 Connection
scheme.
4. When the device is connected to the PC, the PxFlasher rogram can be
started.
5. In the running rogram, select “Connect” and select “USB RS485 Cable”
from the dro -down list and click “OK”.
6. A window will a ear with a rogress bar, during this time ower u
the device to be u dated.

7. In a new window, information about the connected device will a ear
and a question whether you want to u date the ?rmware. To continue,
select “Yes”.
8. Browse to the u date ?le on your com uter (*.upg).
9. After the u date is ?nished, a window will a ear asking if you want to
start the device, selecting “Yes” the device will go to normal o eration
mode.
