ROLLER BLIND SYSTEM
SUNDRAPE®-QUADRO
For the fixing of s ndrape®-Q adro roller
blinds on casement and window frames,
please se the attached screws (length:
13 mm). Check mo nting site before
fixing. In some cases, the application of
shorter screws may be sef l.
Please avoid any contact with the
glass pane!
In case of mo nting between window
rabbet – especially when reflecting dra-
peries are placed very close to the glass
pane – there m st be a s fficient venti-
lation between glass pane and drapery.
The attached mo nting accessories for
s ndrape®-Q adro/s roller blinds g a-
rantee a s fficient ventilation d e to
waste air circ lation towards the top of
the blind. For roller blinds with foil dra-
pery at places witho t s fficient ventila-
tion, a minim m distance of 20 mm bet-
ween foil and glass pane is recommen-
ded.
Normal f nction is g aranteed in case
of operation with a declination p to
appr. 10 ° (i.e. normal declination of a
tilt pivot-h ng window).
Roller blinds with cord operation do not
dispose of stopper plates for the pper
final position. Avoid r de and ncon-
trolled rolling p of the bottom bar
against the headbox. Otherwise, dama-
ges cannot be excl ded.
S nTape side g iding:
The S nTape side g iding profiles are
g iding the drapery p and down and
avoid a slipping o t of the drapery by
means of tapes placed at the selvage.
They resist to normal ventilation as c r-
rent of air. Sho ld there be a mechanic
overstressing, for example obstacles in
the winding area etc., the tapes may slip
o t of the g iding profiles. In this case,
please nwind the drapery completely
and insert tapes again caref lly. In case
yo don’t s cceed, remove cover profiles
and roll down drapery completely, then
wind p blind , afterwards, replace cover
profiles. A violent winding p of the dra-
pery will ca se wrinkles.

ROLLER BLIND SYSTEMS
Thank yo for yo r decision to b y a
s ndrape®high-q ality prod ct. To
enjoy yo r s ndrape®roller blinds for a
long time, please consider the following
sef l and important information of
this broch re.
General information
s ndrape®roller blinds are maintenance-
free s n protection prod cts with a
longlasting working life for dry indoor
rooms. The professional mounting
according to our mounting instruc-
tions as well as a skilled se and ope-
ration are necessary conditions for the
optical well-appearance and impec-
cable f nctioncality of these prod cts.
s ndrape®roller blinds are c stom-
made prod cts and therefore cannot be
exchanged nor taken back. Every
c stom-made roller blind is tested ex
works by o r control service and is
checked on optimal f nction, comple-
teness of the attached accessories and
cleanliness. The operating elements
allow an infinitely variation of drapery
position.
Textile draperies are not static and
therefore cannot be completely even
and wrinkle-free s rfaces. Roller blinds
have to be mo nted exactly horizon-
tally and the side g iding profiles m st
be mo nted exactly vertically. Please
follow the special mo nting instr c-
tions for o r s ndrape®prod cts as
described.
sundrape®roller blinds are to be ope-
rated exclusively by the correspon-
ding, attached sundrape®operating
elements. There will be no warranty for
conseq ential damages d e to inproper
treatment or operation.
Generally, the draperies are to be rolled
down only to the extent of the window
height. An exceeding rolling down will
lead to an inversion of the winding
sense of the roller blind t be. This may,
especially in case of roller blinds with
headbox and side g iding, res lt in
serio s, permanent damages of the dra-
pery as for example wrinkles or pset-
ting deformation. The drapery may also
get st ck or come off from the roller
blind t be.
Generally, avoid obstacles in the win-
ding area of the roller blind as they may
ca se damages of the drapery. A sloped
rolling p of the blind is damaging the
selvage of the drapery.
There is no g arantee for any kind of
soils, especially on draperies, that are
evidently not ca sed by prod ction or
delivery.
When cleaning the blind, the contact of
the blind drapery with chemical,
solvent-based agents has to be strictly
avoided beca se they may ca se spots
or damages.
Yo may weep off light soils of the rol-
ler blind drapery caref lly with a damp
towel witho t cleaning agent. Do not
r b beca se damages in colo r or tex-
tile str ct re may res lt. Remove d st
by means of an appropriate br sh.
Never se l bricants like oil or grease!
Side p ll roller blinds
Side p ll roller blinds can contin o sly
be rolled p or down by p lling the late-
ral ball chain or cord. The drapery is
a tomatically stopped by a stopping
mechanism which is inserted in the dri-
ving gear. This stopping mechanism
avoids an ncontrolled rolling down of
the drapery. Don't p ll at the bottom
bar, this may ca se damage to the stop-
ping mechanism!
M ltiple operating processes in close
t rns may affect the stopping mecha-
nism d e to heating p and are hence
to be avoided.
Operating chains m st bear two stopper
plates for the final positions on top and
at the bottom. They m st be placed in a
way that an overt rn of the bottom bar
towards the roller blind t be resp. the
headbox is excl ded. The bottom final
position m st be determined in a way
that the drapery is freely s spended
witho t getting st ck. Missing stopper
plates may lead to damages thro gh
r de and ncontrolled rolling p of the
bottom bar against the headbox and
may so damage the drive nit or the dra-
pery. F rtheron, the bottom bar may
clamp into the headbox.
The ball chains are to be p lled vertical-
ly resp. slightly sloped. Avoid to p ll too
sloped, in this case, the chain m st bear
too sharp deviations and may ca se
nnecessary noise when operating the
blind.
The operating speed sho ld be reg lar
and correspond to the kind of drapery.
Circulating chains and cords must be
ept away from small children.
Electric roller blinds
Any ind of electric installation wor
at 230 V power supply must general-
ly be carried out through authorized
professional staff according to the cor-
responding national regulations for
electric installations.
Any kind of installation work to be exe-
c ted at idle s pply lines only and in
absol te compliance with wiring and
connecting diagrams of the motors!
Take care that s pply lines and cables
do not affect the drapery when rolling
p or down.
For any kind of material or personal
damages which may res lt from non-
compliance with these instr ctions, g a-
rantee is explicitly excl ded. Any kind of
conseq ential damages on systems and
installations are also excl ded from the
man fact er’s g arantee.
Center p ll roller blinds
s ndrape®soft roller blinds and skylight
roller blinds are cord operated by means
of a p lling device or by handle, fixed
directly at the bottom bar. In both cases,
the operation elements are fixed in the
middle of the bottom bar, either directly
at the bottom bar (handle) or with a
cord (p lling device).
Unwind soft roller blind ntil desired
position. It will stop a tomatically. To
wind p the blind, a slight p ll will de-
activate the stopping mechanism again
and the blind rolls p a tomatically.
Skylight roller blinds are operated with
tensioned spring by p lling the p lling
device downwards and insertion of the
bottom bar into lateral s pports. To
wind p, remove bottom bar from late-
ral s pports and wind p drapery back
to blind t be.
