(1).SDcard issupportive ofthree-leveldirectoryand two-levelfolder, e.g. Rootdirectory, Parent
filefolder/Sub-file. AsforSDXC card, it isnecessarytobe formatted intoFAT32 filesystemby
DiskGenius.
(2).SDCardissupportiveofhotplugging,butpleaseholdwhiledeleting files,which will
damage the card.
(3).Make surethatCUEfileand thewholetrackfilearesaved underthe samefolder.The song
nameofthe CUE FILEparameterisconsistentwiththecorresponding filenameofthe whole
track file (including the suffix).
(4).Asforthe incompatiblesampling resolution, sampling frequencyorcompressed level,such
assingletrack, 24bit/192KHzFLAC,APEcompressed levelaboveHIGH,it will bemuted for
5sand skip toplaythe nextsong.
(5).Ifit shutsdownwhileplaying WAVorDSD,it ismostlydue toSDcardissue, pleaseformat
the SDcard bySDFormattersoftware.
(6).DSDplaying issupportive ofDoPAgreement, which needsexternalDACsupportive ofDSD
forSPDIF.
(7).DSDPlaying isunsupportiveofDST64 Code. Pleaseconvert it intoDSD64code byrelating
software.
(8).Whileconnecting QA100, no soundisreleased whileplaying DSD.QA100 isunsupportive
ofthe inputofDSDsignal.

3. OperationInstruction
3.1 Startup
Plug in the powerline and turn on the playerbythe switch on the back.
3.2 FileBrowsing
The playerincludesthe maininterface, folderlist,song list,CUE list,Favoritelistand playing
interface. Press the BACKkeytoswitch listsinaloop.Usethe UP/DOWNkeytomovethe
cursor. Use the LEFT/RIGHTKeyto flip the pagesand the OKkeyto enterthe nextpage.
3.3 Play
Selectthe song and press OKtoplay.Press OKtoplay/pausethe song, UP/DOWNtoswitch the
songsandlong press LEFT/RIGHTto fastforwardand backward.
3.4 Replay
In anyinterface, press REPLAYto replaythe currentsong.
3.5 Playthe previoussong
In anyinterface, press REWINDto playthe previoussong.
3.6 Previous/NextPage
Press LEFT/RIGHTon the frontpanelorP-/P+onthe remote controlto flip the pagesquickly.
3.7 Previous/Nextfolder(Album)
Press F-/F+on the remote controlto switch to the previous/nextfolder(album)quickly.
3.8 Song Location
(1).Press 1-9 on the remote controlto directlylocate the songswith the index No.1-9
(2).Press__/_ _ _/_ _ _ _ onthe remotecontroland inputthe index No.ofthesong tolocatethe
songswith the index No.99~9999.
(3).Song location can be performed inthe folderorthe wholecardaccording tothe playing
range.
3.9 FolderLocation
Press Fn, then inputthe numberto locate the folder.
(1) Press Fn +1-9 to directlylocate the folderunderthe index No.1~9
(2) Press Fn+_ _/__ _ to locatethe folderundertheindex No. 99~999

3.10 Play Time Location
Press TIMEon the remote controland inputthe time slot, then playfromthe settime.
3.11A-Bsectionplay
Itisused to selecta certain section ofthe currentsong toplayrepeatedly.
PressA-Bon the remote controlto selectthe starting pointAand the end pointB.Thus,A-B
section will be played repeatedly.Atthistime press A-Bto end it.
3.12 Song Deleting
Underthe songlistorthe playing interface, selectthe song thatneedstobedeletedand press
DEL. Itpopsout “Delete thesong ornot?”SelectOKto delete.
Note: Thesongisdeleted permanentlyfromthe SDcard Pleasetakecautionasit is
unrecoverable.
3.13 CUE Operation
SelectCUEfile, and enterthe listtoselectsongstoplay.CUEmode supports manyplaying
modessuch asLoops,Random,Singlesong, Single-loop, Reverseetc. The playing range
confinesto the currentCUElistand it shows “Album”.
3.14 Favorites
Itincludes “adding thesong toFavorites”& “deleting the song fromFavorites”
(1).Underthe folderlist,songlistand playing interface, press the customized function keyF1on
the remotecontrolorlong press OKon the frontpanelfor2secondsbeforerelease. Itpopsout
that “add the songtoFavorites?”SelectOKtoadd the selected folderorsong toFavorites.The
maximumcapacityis99 songs.
(2).UnderFavoriteslist,press the customized function keyF1on the remotecontrolorlong
press OKon thefrontpanelfor2secondsbeforerelease.Itpopsoutthat “deletethe song from
Favorites?”SelectOKto delete the song fromFavorites.
Note: Favoritessupports manyplaying modessuch asLoops,Random,Single-song, Single-loop,
Reverse etc. The playing range confinesto the currentfavorite listand it shows “Favorites”.
3.15 Mute
Press MUTEon the left corneron the remotecontrol,andthe playerenters the mutemode, press
MUTE again to quit.

ALL: All songson the SDcardcan be effective files.
FOLDER: Onlythe songsunderthe currentfoldercan be played, and you can onlyselectthe
songsunderthisfolderaswell.
Note: Theplayerissupportiveof2-leveldirectory.Inordertolocatesongsquickly,it is
suggested thatyou namethe parentfolderwiththesingername, andnamethesub-folders with
the albumsofthissinger. Each sub-foldershould onlystore one album.
4.3 Memory Play
OFF: Turnoffthe memorymode, and the main interface will showafterstartup.
PAUSE: Turnonthememorymode, and the playing interface will showafterstartup,readyfor
the userto play.
AUTO: Turnon thememorymode, the playing interface will showafterstartup, and songsin
memorywillbe played.
4.4 Gap between Tracks
You can setthe time gap between tracksas0, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 ms.
4.5 TrackName Rolling
You can setthe rolling frequencyoffile namesas “no, 1S、2S、3S”.

The brightness can be setasthree levels-100, 200 and 300.
4.11Automatic Off-screen
TheAutomatic off-screen time optionsare "No, 10s, 20s, and 30s".
Itwill improvesound qualitytoturnoffthe screen.Meanwhile, press FOkeyon the remote
controlto turn offthe screen,press again to restart.
4.12 Key Reaction Speed
The keyreaction speed mainlyrefers tothe processing speed oflong press,such asthespeed of
moving the cursorupwardsand downwards, FF/FB, etc.
Optionsare10~100.
4.13 SignalOptions
lInternal: Selectto playthe songson the SDcard.
lCoaxial: Selectto receive the externalsignalsfromcoaxialinterface.
lUSB:Selectto receive the externalsignalsfromUSBinterface.
4.14 Language
The GBKencoding fontlibraryisadopted supportiveof20,000 nationalwordswiththree
languages-Simplified Chinese, traditionalChinese and English.

5. Firmware Update

switch, release OKonce the updating mode isentered.
(3).Selectthe updated fileinthe updating listand pressOKtostart updating, and restart the
poweraftercompletion.

6. USBInput
ThereisanXMOSUSBinterface ofhigh tone qualityinside QA661. The usersconnectQA661
tothe computerwiththe helpoftheUSBcableandthe computercan beusedtoplaythe music
and outputfromQA661
(1).Connectthe computerwith USBand turn onQA661
(2).Downloadorfind the USBdriverXMOSUSBAudio2.0 Driver.exe fromthe SDcard, click
INSTALLand inspectthe environmentofthe system.Insearch ofXMOSUSBinterface, click
NEXTto install.

(3).Ifthe following red wordspopout,pleasemake surethatif theUSBconnection isok,
becauseXMOSUSBinterface needstobe connectedtothe computertocompletethe
installation ofdriver.
(4).Check “Iaccepttermsofthe LicenseAgreement”,then click NEXTtill the driverisinstalled
completely.

(5).OnceUSBdriverisinstalled, press Skeyon the frontpanelorthe USBkeyon the remote
controltoinputsignals.Also, the signaloption ofthe menu can besetas “USB”,then the USB
inputfunction ison and the screen isswitched to “USBINPUT”interface.
7. CoaxialInput
Coaxialinputcan improvethe soundoftheinputdigitalsignal.NomatterTVSTB,DVD,high
definition player,low-end CD player,BluetoothorWIFI,the voice will becomenicerafterthe
signaloptimization and re-arrangementofQA661circuit aslong asit hascoaxialoutputand is
able to inputtoQA661.
(1).Connectthe coaxialoutputofyourdevice withone end ofthecoaxialcableandconnectthe
otherend withthe coaxialinterface withEXTCOAX symbolprinted on the rearpanelof
QA661.
(2).Turnonthe powerswitch ofQA661, press Skeyon the frontpanelorCOAXkeyon the
remotecontroltoselectthe coaxialinputsignal.Also, the menu signalcan be setas “Coaxial”,
the coaxialinputfunction isturned on and the screen isturned to “COAXIALINPUT”interface.
8. WordClockInput
QA661 hasawordclock outputofnice parameters and totalelectricalisolation when it usesan
internalplayer.IfyourDACalso hasword clock input, such asHilo, usea BNCcableto connect
DAC wordclock input,thenthe working clock on DACsynchronizeswiththe playerand the
sound qualitywill be improved on a furtherlevel.
(1).Connectone endofBNC cablewiththe BNCinterface withWORDCLOCKsymbolprinted
on the rearpanelofQA661, and the otherend with the DACwith word clock inputfunction.
(2).SetDACasynchronousclock source asthe word clock input.
