FLEA|TICK REPELLER FOR PETS
User’s Manual

Instructions for Use
1. Attach the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS to your pet’s
collar, holding it in place with a cord during use.
2. Position the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS pointing
toward the ground, as shown in the following figure:

3. Pull on the plastic tab protruding from the FLEA|TICK
REPELLER FOR PETS completely out of the device, as
shown in the diagram:
4. Check to see if the LED indicator flashes on every 15
seconds, as this shows you if the device is working.
Recommendations:
• For best results the pet should wear the FLEA | TICK
REPELLER FOR PETS all the time.
• The effect will be noticed especially after the third week.
If the presence of fleas or ticks is still considerable after
this period of time, go through steps 2 and 4 above once
again.

• In areas highly infested with fleas and/or ticks due to an
abundance of stray animals uncontrolled by the health
authorities, you are advised to consult your vet to see
about adding additional pest control systems. In some
particular cases, fleas can cause dermatitis in pets, in
which case a vet should also be consulted to treat the
condition.
• This FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS is resistant to rain
and humidity. Should the device accidentally be totally
submerged in water, remove the batteries, according to
the instructions in the following section, and completely
dry the device. Then insert the batteries again, per the
instructions in the following section about replacing
batteries. This does not guarantee that the devise will
start working again.
Replacing the batteries:
When the indicator light goes off, substitute the batteries, by
following these instructions:
1. Remove the two screws and carefully remove the cover,

so that the batteries will not fall out.
2. Take out the dead batteries and insert the new ones, as
indicated in the battery compartment. Be sure to dispose
of the dead batteries in a special waste container for that
purpose.
3. Screw the cover back on and check to make sure the
indicator light flashes on every 15 seconds. If the
indicator does not come on, check to make sure the
batteries are correctly inserted and pointing the right
direction.

Ultrasound consists of high-frequency sound waves which

FAQs
Can the INSonuerit technology in this FLEA | TICK
REPELLER FOR PETS aect: babies, pregnant women,
children, adults or pets?
No. The INSonuerit technology used in the RADARCAN®
devices cause no harm to people or pets.
I have heard that ultrasound is ineective against eas
and ticks. Is this true?
Please bear in mind that ultrasound is simply a term used
to indicate that acoustic emissions of a frequency higher
than 20KHz (human hearing limit) are being used. The use
of this technology should be backed up by studies, tests and
certification that attest to the efficiency of the technology
and the chosen ultrasound frequency, as well as the strength
and the emission pattern. Our products are, thus, tested and
certified in highly-respected laboratories and universities.
NOT ALL PORTABLE ANTI-FLEA AND TICKS DEVICES that emit
ultrasound waves ARE EFFECTIVE. Each pest must be fought

against with specific appropriate technology.
Can it be used on all kinds of dogs?
Yes.

Yes.
What is the lifespan of the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR
PETS?
The lifespan is unlimited.
Does it need rells?
You only need to change the batteries when they run out.
What happens if the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS gets
wet?
The device is resistant to rain and humidity. Should
the device accidentally be totally submerged in water,
remove the batteries, according to the instructions in the
Instructions for Use/Recommendations section above, and
completely dry the device. Then insert the batteries again,
per the instructions. This does not guarantee that the device

will start working again.
Will the device protect my pet from the Leishmaniasis
parasite?
Although the effectiveness of the device on this class of pest
has not been tested, its use could decrease the probability
of the pet’s being attacked by the sand fly, which may carry
it. It is a good complementary product for the protection of
your pet.
What if the illuminated LED indicator does not work?
1. Check to be sure you have removed the plastic tab
protruding from the device, which activates it.
2. Verify that the batteries are new and correctly inserted
in the compartment.
If you confirm that it still does not come on, get in contact
with the RADARCAN®technical department.

Care and Maintenance
Do not put the device in water or any other liquid.
Cleaning.
If you need to clean the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS,
only wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Use no abrasive products.
Do not expose the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS to
extreme
temperatures.
It is recommended not to use the product at temperatures
above 122 °F.
No rells.
The FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS works without
replacement parts, making it more economical to use.
Correct Disposal of the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR
PETS.
Properly dispose of the device by depositing it in the
corresponding container for its correct collection and

recycling.
RADARCAN® has a commitment to the care and protection
of the environment. The FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS
contains electronic components and it is necessary to
dispose of the device separately from the containers where
normal domestic waste is disposed of.

your recycling options.

Warranty and extension of warranty
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
Register the FLEA | TICK REPELLER FOR PETS at warranty.
radarcan.com and you will receive a five-year warranty for
the product since date of purchase.
• RADARCAN® does not warranty a 100% effective shield
against the spread of diseases that the animal could be
infected.
• Your RADARCAN® product is guaranteed against defects
in materials and manufacture for the period of time
established by legislation in the country and/or state
of sale of the product (see warranty.radarcan.com), or
for five years if it is registered, from the purchase date.
If any defect in the product caused by its manufacture

or defective materials appears while under the warranty.
• RADARCAN® will only be responsible for the repair or
replacement if valid proof of purchase (e.g. paid receipt)
is presented which demonstrates that the day of the
service claim is within the validity period of the warranty.
• The warranty does not cover those products and/
or parts of products that are subjected to wear and
tear that can be considered material that naturally
deteriorates over time.
• The warranty is not valid if the defect is due to damage
caused by incorrect use of the product or improper
maintenance, or if it has been repaired or modified by
personnel not authorized by RADARCAN®.
