Thank you for purchasing the RadioShack
Wireless Pool/Spa Thermometer. Your
thermometer measures water temperature,
and is useful in swimming pools, hot tubs,
and freezers. It is for use with an in/out
thermometer (not supplied, available at your
local RadioShack store or online at
www.radioshack.com). The supplied wall
mount holder and stand let you mount it
wherever you like.

Your thermometer requires two AA batteries
(not supplied) for power. For the best
performance and longest life, we
recommend RadioShack alkaline
batteries.R

1. Remove the wall-mount holder from the
back of the thermometer.
2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the
screws on the battery compartment
cover and remove the cover.
3. Slide CHANNEL 1/2/3 to the desired
setting, then press RESET. The selected
channel appears on the display.

Place the temperature sensor probe where
you want to test. The current temperature
and selected channel appear. Signals
transmit to the main unit about every 30

If your thermometer stops working properly,
use a pointed object to press RESET. This
resets the temperature and reinitializes the
sensor transmitter.

Place your thermometer on a flat surface
using the supplied stand, or mount it on the
wall using screws (not supplied) and the
supplied holder.

Choose an indoor or outdoor location for
your thermometer that is within 60 – 90 feet
(20 – 30 meters) of the main unit. ±

Liquid Crystal Display — The
current temperature and selected
channel appear.
Temperature Sensor Probe — Place it in
water to test the temperature.
°C / °F — Select Centigrade (°C) or
Fahrenheit (°F) for your desired degree
format.
Wall Mount Holder — Use to mount
the thermometer on a wall.
Removeable Stand — Use to set
thermometer on a table or other flat surface.
Channel 1/2/3 — Slide to Channel 1, 2, or 3. Set
to a different channel than the other remote
sensors you are using.

• Use only fresh batteries of the required size
and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different
types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or
rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of
different capacities.
• If you do not plan to use the thermometer for
a month or more, remove the batteries.
Batteries can leak chemicals that can
destroy electronic parts.

Operation
• Do not set two or more thermometers to the
same channel when using them with one
main unit. Otherwise you will unable to judge
which thermometer the digits represent.
• Your thermometer comes with a protective
film covering the display which should be
removed before use.
Selecting a Location
The construction of your home or office might
affect the transmission range between the
main unit and the thermometer. If you have a
choice of several locations, try each to see
which provides the best performance.

stand into the holes on the back of the
thermometer. .

1. Drill two holes 13/4inches apart. Thread
a screw in each hole, letting the heads
extend about 1/4inch from the mounting
surface.
2. Align the keyhole slots on the mounting
holder with the screws and slide the
holder downward to secure it.
3. Slide the thermometer onto the
mounting holder.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply

• In direct sunlight.
• In water. It is water resistant, not water-proof.
• Near electronic appliances, heating, or air
conditioning vents.

Care
Keep the thermometer dry; if it gets wet, wipe it
dry immediately. Use and store the
thermometer only in normal temperature
environments. Handle the thermometer
carefully; do not drop it. Keep the thermometer
away from dust and dirt, and wipe it with a
damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
If your thermometer is not performing as it
should, take it to your local RadioShack store
for assistance. Modifying or tampering with the
thermometer’s internal components can cause
a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty
and void your FCC authorization to operate it.
Limited One-Year Warranty
This product is warranted by RadioShack against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of purchase from
RadioShack company-owned stores and authorized RadioShack franchisees and dealers. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, RadioShack MAKES NO EXPRESS WAR-

of the same or similar design; or (c) refund the purchase price. All replaced parts and products, and products on which a refund is made, become the property of
RadioShack. New or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the
remainder of the original warranty period. You will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God, abuse, accident, misuse, improperor abnormal usage, failure to follow instruc-
tions, improper installation or maintenance, alteration, lightning or other incidence of excess voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by a RadioShack
