This operating instruction is valid for the fan-shaped awnings
with different masses and opening angles
Errors and technical changes are reserved. Radius accepts no liability
whatsoever in the event of incorrect operation or improper use of the products.
Radius will replace or repair defective products within the scope of the
warranty conditions at the time of delivery. Radius accepts no further liability.

1.1

General safety instructions
The safety instructions together with the technical information for installation and operation,
form the basis for the safe use of the fan-shaped awnings. They must be read, followed and
kept for later reference before the fan is installed and used.
Failure to observe the safety regulations and instructions in the assembly and operating
instructions can result in serious damage to persons and material, for which the
manufacturer expressly disclaims all liability or warranty obligations!
In case of increasing wind or approaching squalls, the fan-shaped awning must be closed.
Unattended fans must not be left open. Surprisingly strong wind could cause serious
damage.
Modifications or changes to the fan awning are prohibited!
1.3
Use of the fan-shaped awning
The fan-shaped awning is to be used exclusively as weather-resistant sun protection. The
wind resistance of the stretched fan is limited and the information about it assumes
installation according to the instructions.

2.1
Inserting the sunshade into the holder
a.) Hook the crank handle into the ring for weighting
b.) Insert the fan and move slightly until "click" engages
c.) Hook the crank handle into the eyebolt and tighten it slightly until the fan is fixed
d.) Check that the fan is firmly seated in the holder!

2.2
Opening and aligning the
a.) Release omega brake of the fan sail with crank.
Brake gear side right, turn left to release!
Brake gear side left, turn right to release!
b.) Move the fan to the desired position by hand.
c.) Loosen the fabric expander, which holds the fabric. Textile unrolls by itself.
d.1) Release the spar expander, the fan starts to open itself thanks to the gas spring.
d.2) In the version with crank drive, opening is done by cranking.
e. ) Use your hands to slide the fan open and make sure that there are no people or obstacles in
the area of the opening.

f.) Hand-tighten the omega brake on the ball joint with the crank to hold the fan in the desired
position.
Brake gear side right, turn left to release!
Brake gear side left, turn right to release!

Closing the
a.) Release the omega brake and set the fan at an angle.
b.) Squeeze with left hand and hold.
c.) Squeeze with right hand.
d.) Fix the spar expander.

Repositioning the fan
a.) Loosen the eyebolt by means of the hand crank.

d.) Put it to a dry or another secured location

Wind compatibility
In case of increasing wind at maximum 30 km/h close the fan.
Do not allow the fabric to flutter when closed.
Secure with fabric expander.
