1 Introduction
The AlphaBlower 2200 is suitable for installation in a vacuum
pipe system for pumping radon, to reduce radon
contamination in buildings.

4 Installation
Read these instructions and the enclosed safety
notes completely before commissioning and working
with the device.
Keep these instructions in a place where they are accessible to
all users.
4.1 Intended use
The AlphaBlower 2200 must be placed or mounted on
a stable and solid location in the building.
To reduce condensation problems, the AlphaBlower
2200 and the corresponding piping should be mounted
in heated areas, or the piping must be insulated. Care
must be taken to prevent condensate from running
back into the unit. Condensate running back will
damage the AlphaBlower 2200.
The AlphaBlower 2200 may only be used at room
temperature and indoors. The device must be
protected from excessive moisture and direct sunlight.
The AlphaBlower 2200 must be installed by a specialist
company or a person with the appropriate expertise.

4.2 Installation instructions

5. Wiring
The mains cable may only be plugged into the mains sockets or
adapters approved for this purpose. Check that the mains
voltage matches the connected load of the aspirator.
Do not use the cable for purposes for which it is not
intended.
Following the installation, the radon concentration must be
measured and a maintenance cycle must be set.

Improper connection of the device may result in injury
from electric shock and the device may be damaged.
If the device is defective, active conductors may be
exposed or the protective conductor may be without
function.
Repairs may only be carried out by a recognized
specialist.
If the connecting cable is damaged, it must be replaced
by a specially prepared connecting cable.
Faulty installation can lead to increased radon
concentration.
The installation must be tight. Seal screw connections
and cracks in the base plate.
Improper use can lead to respiratory problems,
suffocation, poisoning or cancer.
Exhaust air must not be directed into used areas, e.g.
near a terrace. Minimum distance to the nearest
window must be 2 or more meters. Observe wind
direction.

5 LED display & warning signals
The control panel of the AlphaBlower 2200s provides status
information via 3 LEDs.
5.1 Green
The green LED indicates that
power is being supplied to
the AlphaBlower 2200.

5.2 Yellow + warning tone: Service interval
reset
The yellow LED with warning
tone indicates that the
maximum runtime for the
stored service interval has
been reached.
To reset the service interval,
the + and - keys must be
pressed simultaneously while
switching on the AlphaBlower
2200s until the red and yellow
LEDs light up and the warning
tone sounds.
After resetting the service interval time, the new time interval
starts counting down from 9000h.
5.3 Red + warning tone: Cleaning
The red LED with warning
tone indicates that the air
supply or air discharge is
blocked. The AlphaBlower
2200 must be cleaned.
After 5 minutes, the aspirator is switched off if the alarm has
not been terminated.

Disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the device.
Remove the
blockage in the air
supply and / or air
exhaust.
When cleaning the piping system/suction chamber, an
increased pollutant load of the ambient air is to be
expected.
If the suction performance is impaired by deposits in the
piping system, contaminated parts must be replaced. Only
original spare parts are to be used for this purpose.
Repairs may only be carried out by recognized
specialists. For more details, refer to chapter 5.3 User
groups.
Finally, reset the alarm by pressing the +
key for 5 seconds. The green LED lights
up.

8 Warranty
The limited warranty (1 year) applies to the AlphaBlower
2200 purchased from RadonTec GmbH or authorized dealers.
This covers defects in material or workmanship under normal
use for a period of one year from the date of receipt of the
product. Contamination due to dirt or improper use is not
covered by the warranty. During the warranty period, the
product will be repaired or replaced at no charge.
*Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse,
neglect or misuse. This includes damage caused by drops,
impacts or penetrations. It is also void if the product has been
repaired or altered by another EIC Inc.
