WARNINGS:

2. USING THE AC ADAPTER

sure both speakers are connected correctly before

pluggingtheACadaptercordintotheACpower

MAINTENANCE

CLEANING THE DISC

If the CD skips or will not play, the

disc may need to be cleaned.

Beforeplaying,wipethediscfrom

the center outward with a cleaning

cloth.Afterplaying,storethedisc

in its case.

CLEANINGTHETAPEHEADS

To maintain optimum sound

quality, clean the playback/

record heads (a), erasure head

(b), pinch roller (c), and capstans

(d)regularly(every10hoursof

use). Use a cotton swab lightly

moistened with cleaning uid or

denatured alcohol.

CLEANING THE UNIT

Do not use volatile chemicals on this unit. Clean by

lightly wiping with a soft cloth.

IMPORTANT NOTE

• Ifanabnormaldisplayindicationoranoperating

problemoccurs,disconnecttheACadapter.Wait

at least 5 seconds, then reconnect it.

USING THE REMOTE CONTROL CORRECTLY

Fully unwind the wire antenna. Then extend the wire

antenna and place it in the position that sounds best.

(WhentheFMbroadcastsignalisstrong,itcanreceive

FMStereoBroadcast.)

Rotate the unit to get the best receiving position.

FOR BETTER RECEPTION

Remove the protective

plastic tab before

operating the remote

control.

(3V) size battery.

NOTE:

If the remote control is not going to be used for a long

time, remove the battery to avoid damage caused by

battery leakage corrosion.

TO CHANGE REMOTE BATTERY

CAUTION:

• Dangerofexplosionifbatteryisincorrectly

replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent

type.

contains a button cell battery that may be ingested

by children. Do not leave button cell batteries

within reach of children.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Whenthebatterybecomesweak,theoperating

distance of the remote control is greatly reduced and

you will need to replace the battery.

4. Close the CD door by gently pushing down until it is

secure. The disc no. and the total number of tracks

will show in the CD display for a few seconds.

1. SlidetheFUNCTIONselectortoCD.ThePOWERON

indicator lights up.

2. Open the disc compartment. Place a disc onto the

disc(s) holder, with the label side up.

3. Press the DISC SKIP button to revolve the tray

clockwise.

Place other disc(s) on the disc holder(s).

5. Press the DISC SKIP button to select the desired disc.

Press either the SKIPorSEARCH button to

select the desired track.

COMPACT DISC PLAYBACK

To Stop Playing:

(a) PressthePLAY/PAUSE button and the track no.

will ash. Press this button again to resume playing.

(b) Press the STOP button.

NOTE:

The SKIPorSEARCH button can only be

used to choose a track on the current disc. To choose

a track of another disc, the DISC SKIP button should

be pressed to get to the desired disc rst.

6. PressthePLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.

REPEAT PLAYBACK - DURING PLAYBACK MODE

To Repeat the Current Track

•Press the CDREPEATbuttonuntilREPEATONE

appears on the CD display. The current track will

be played repeatedly until the STOP button is

pressed.

•Press the or SKIPbuttonswiththeREPEAT

ONEfunctionon,therepeatwillstillskipthrough

dierent tracks on the selected disc.

To Skip to a Dierent Track

•To locate a track of currently selected disc, press

or SKIP/SEARCHbuttonrepeatedly.

• Tolocateatrackofanotherdisc,pressDISCSELECT

button to get to desired disc rst and then press

or SKIP/SEARCHbutton repeatedly.

•To search a track, keep or SKIP/SEARCH

button pressed and release it at desired point.

To Repeat All Discs

• Pressthe CDREPEATbuttonuntilthethe

REPEATindicatordisappearsfromtheCDdisplay.

•Press the or SKIP buttons will make the

player start playing from the newly selected point

of the current disc.

• PresstheDISCSELECTbuttonwillmaketheplayer

start playing from the rst track of the newly selected

disc. The / SKIP buttons can be used to

choose a particular track on this selected disc, the

player will then start playing from that point.

NOTE: Ensure 3 discs put inside to enjoy repeat all

disc feature.

To Cancel Repeat Play

• Pressthe CDREPEATbuttonuntilthethe

REPEATindicatordisappearsfromtheCDdisplay.

To Repeat the Whole Disc

DISC appears on the CD display. The current disc

will be played repeatedly starting from the current

playing point.

•Press the or SKIP buttons with the REPEAT

ONEDISCfunction on. The whole disc can be

searched and the player will start playing from the

selected point.

TAPE PLAYBACK

AVC MULTIMEDIA ("AVC") makes the following limited warranty. These limited warranties extend to the original

consumer purchaser and is limited to non-commercial user of the product.

One Year Parts & Labor Warranty

AVC products purchased in the United States are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship

for a period of one year from the date of their original retail purchase. If the unit fails to conform to this warranty,

we will service the product using new or refurbished parts and products, at AVC's sole discretion.

During a period of one year from the eective warranty date, AVC will provide, when needed, service labor to

repair a manufacturing defect at its designated Service Center. To obtain warranty service in the United States, you

must rst call our Customer Support Center at 1-877-252-6873, during the hours listed in the box below. The

deternination of service will be made by AVC customer support.

PLEASE DO NOT RETURN YOUR UNIT TO AVC WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION.Neworremanufactured

replacements for defective parts or products will be used for repairs by AVC at its designated Service Center for

one year from the defective warranty date. Such replacement parts or products are warranted for an additional

one year from the date of repair or replacement. The Customer will be required to ship the unit to the Service

Center indicated at the time Customer Support is contacted to make the necessary repairs. The customer is

responsible for all transportation charges to the service facility.

Packaging and Shipping Instruction

Whenyousendtheproducttothe AVC service facility you must use the original carton box and packing material

or an equivalent as designated by AVC.

Your Responsibility

(1) Youmustretainyourbillofsaletoprovideproofofpurchase.

(2) ThesewarrantiesareeectiveonlyiftheproductispurchasedandoperatedintheU.S.A.orCanada.

(3) Warrantiesextendonlytodefectsinmaterialorworkmanship,anddonotextendtoanyproductorparts

which have been lost or discarded, or damage to product or parts caused by misuse, accident, improper

operation or maintenance, or use in violation of instructions provided with the product, or to product which

has been altered or modied without authorization of AVC, or to products or parts thereof which have had the

serial number removed or changed.

Out of Warranty

Allwarrantiesimpliedbystatelaw,includingtheimpliedwarrantiesofmerchantabilityandtnessforaparticular

purpose,areexpresslylimitedtothedurationofthelimitedwarrantiessetforthabove.Withtheexceptionof

any warranties implied by state law as hereby limited, the foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other

warranties, guarantees, agreements and similar obligations of manufacturer or seller with respect to the repair or

replacement of any parts. In no event shall AVC be liable for consequential or incidental damages.

Noperson,agent,distributor,dealerorcompanyisauthorizedtochange,modifyorextendthetermsofthese

warranties in any manner whatsoever. The time within action must be commenced to enforce any obligation of

AVC arising under the warranty or under any statute, or law of the United States or any state thereof, is hereby

limited to one year from the date of purchase. This limitation does not apply to implied warranties arising under

state law.

This warranty gives you specic legal rights and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state. Some

states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, when an action may be brought, or the exclusion or

limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above provisions may not apply to you.
