IMPORTANT NOTES
Before connecting and using this product, please read this instruction manual carefully
and keep it on hand for future reference.The manual is to be considered an integral
part of this product and must accompany it when it changes ownership as a reference
for correct installation and use as well as for the safety precautions. RCF S.p.A. will not
assume any responsibility for the incorrect installation and / or use of this product.
WARNING: To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, never expose this remote control
to rain or humidity.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. All the precautions, in particular the safety ones, must be read with special attention,
as they provide important information.
2. LI 7903 remote control is a DXT 7000 system component. Assure the system is turned
off before installing it.
3. Assure all connections have been made correctly.
4. Make sure that no objects or liquids can get into this product, as this may cause a
short circuit.
5. Never attempt to carry out any operations, modifications or repairs. Contact your
authorized service centre or qualified personnel should any of the following occur:
-The remote control does not operate (or works in an anomalous way).
-Objects or liquids have got into the remote control.
-The remote control has been damaged (due to heavy impacts or fire).
6. Should any part of the remote control emit any strange odour or smoke, remove it
from the line after having immediately switched the system off.
7. Do not connect this product to any equipment or accessories not foreseen. Check the
suitability of the support surface (wall, structure, etc., which the product is anchored to)
and the components used for attachment that must guarantee the security of the system
/ installation over time, also considering, for example, the mechanical vibrations normally
generated by transducers.
8. RCF S.p.A. strongly recommends this product is only installed by professional
qualified installers (or specialised firms), who can ensure a correct installation and certify
it according to the regulations in force. The entire audio system must comply with the
current standards and regulations regarding electrical systems.
9. Hearing loss
Exposure to high sound levels can cause permanent hearing loss. The acoustic pressure
level that leads to hearing loss is different from person to person and depends on
the duration of exposure. To prevent potentially dangerous exposure to high levels of
acoustic pressure, anyone who is exposed to these levels should use adequate protection
devices. When a transducer capable of producing high sound levels is being used, it will
be necessary to wear ear plugs or protective earphones.
10. To prevent inductive effects from causing hum, noise and a bad system working, the
BUS cable should not be laid together with other electric cables (mains), loudspeaker
lines, microphone or line level signal cables or be close to electro-magnetic fields.
11. Install this remote control selector far from any heat source.
12. Do not use solvents, alcohol, benzene or other volatile substances to clean its
external parts.

This remote control has 3 programmable function buttons (each with a LED) and
can be used to connect and route a local microphone or a music source through
the front panel audio input (3.5 mm TRS jack).
An additional external connector (not included) can be linked to the X2 internal
terminal and used as audio input.

S1 dip-switch no.6 activates the MIC/LINE input ‘Phantom’ power supply (needed
for electret microphones).

On the remote control front panel, there is a MIC/LINE input (3.5 mm TRS jack)
for a local microphone or a music source.
Note: when using a stereo audio source (e.g. CD-MP3 player), it is necessary to
insert a stereo IN / mono OUT adapter jack.
It is also possible to link an external audio input connector to the X2 terminal.

LI 7903 is connected to the system via CAT5/CAT6 cable.
The following table describes the X4 connector pin order:

Make sure the DXT 7000 system is off when connecting remote controls.
More remote controls can be linked together in parallel (daisy-chain) by
connecting incoming and outgoing cables together.

Screw the LI 7903 remote control with its fastening plate to its wall box
Connect its front panel to the 8-pin connector on the PCB (note: make sure the
DXT 7000 system is off before proceeding).
Press its front panel into the fastening plate in a way that its clips (on the upper
and lower edges) lock it.
On power-up, all the 3 LEDs on the front panel indicate the system state in the
following way:
-If all LEDs get lit and then turn off, all is OK and the remote control is ready
for operation.
-If LEDs blink with a sequence of 1 second, the device has not been set in the
configuration software (check the device address).
LI 7903 can execute several kinds of functions:
-Local paging
-Message paging
-MU 7100 control output function
-Change MU 7100 preset
-Line non active on paging
Function buttons are set by using the configuration software.
LOCAL PAGING
Connect a microphone (or a music source) to the MIC/LINE input (3.5 mm
TRS jack) and press the programmed function button to activate a local
paging (to the assigned zone).
If the chime is set, the button LED will rapidly blink during the chime play.
When the LED is lit, the audio channel is activated.
The outgoing signal level can be adjusted with the trimmer above the MIC/
LINE connector.
Paging will terminate and the LED turns off when the function button is
pressed again.

MESSAGE PAGING
A single or continuous message can be sent to an assigned zone.
If a chime is set, the LED of the relevant button will rapidly blink during the
chime play.
During the message play, the LED blinks slowly.
Single messages will terminate automatically.
Continuous messages need to be stopped manually by pressing the function
button again.
MU 7100 CONTROL OUTPUT FUNCTION
A remote activation of MU 7100 control outputs can be made as a toggle
(ON / OFF) or 1 ÷ 20 s pulse. The relevant function button LED gets lit when
a control output is activated.
MU 7100 PRESET
MU 7100 presets can be changed through LI 7903 remote controls.
The relevant function button LED blinks once when the operation has been
executed.
LINE NON ACTIVE ON PAGING
Paging can be forbidden temporary for certain zones (the relevant function
button LED turns ON).

Prima di collegare ed utilizzare questo prodotto, leggere attentamente le istruzioni
contenute in questo manuale, il quale è da conservare per riferimenti futuri. Il presente
manuale costituisce parte integrante del prodotto e deve accompagnare quest’ultimo
anche nei passaggi di proprietà, per permettere al nuovo proprietario di conoscere le
modalità d’installazione e d’utilizzo e le avvertenze per la sicurezza. L’installazione e
l’utilizzo errati del prodotto esimono la RCF S.p.A. da ogni responsabilità.
ATTENZIONE: Per prevenire i rischi di fiamme o scosse elettriche, non esporre le parti
che compongono il controllo remoto alla pioggia od all’umidità.
AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA
1. Tutte le avvertenze, in particolare quelle relative alla sicurezza, devono essere lette
con particolare attenzione, in quanto contengono importanti informazioni.
2. Il controllo remoto LI 7903 è un componente del sistema DXT 7000; assicurarsi che il
sistema sia spento prima di installarlo.
3. Assicurarsi che tutte le connessioni siano corrette.
4. Impedire che oggetti o liquidi entrino nel prodotto, perché potrebbero causare un
corto circuito.
5. Non eseguire sul prodotto interventi / modifiche / riparazioni.
Contattare i centri di assistenza autorizzati o personale altamente qualificato quando:
il controllo remoto non funziona (o funziona in modo anomalo);
oggetti o liquidi sono entrati nel controllo remoto;
il controllo remoto non è più integro (a causa di urti / incendio).
6. Nel caso che dalle parti che compongono il controllo remoto provengano odori
anomali o fumo, scollegarlo dopo aver immediatamente spento il sistema.
7. Non collegare al controllo remoto apparecchi ed accessori non previsti.
Verificare l’idoneità del supporto (parete, struttura, ecc.) e dei componenti utilizzati per
il fissaggio che devono garantire la sicurezza dell’impianto / installazione nel tempo,
anche considerando, ad esempio, vibrazioni meccaniche normalmente generate da un
trasduttore.
8. La RCF S.p.A. raccomanda vivamente che l’installazione di questo prodotto sia
eseguita solamente da installatori professionali qualificati (oppure da ditte specializzate)
in grado di farla correttamente e certificarla in accordo con le normative vigenti.Tutto
il sistema audio dovrà essere in conformità con le norme e le leggi vigenti in materia di
impianti elettrici.
9. Perdita dell’udito
L’esposizione ad elevati livelli sonori può provocare la perdita permanente dell’udito.
Il livello di pressione acustica pericolosa per l’udito varia sensibilmente da persona
a persona e dipende dalla durata dell’esposizione. Per evitare un’esposizione
potenzialmente pericolosa ad elevati livelli di pressione acustica, è necessario che
chiunque sia sottoposto a tali livelli utilizzi delle adeguate protezioni; quando si
fa funzionare un trasduttore in grado di produrre elevati livelli sonori è necessario
indossare dei tappi per orecchie o delle cuffie protettive.
10.Per evitare che fenomeni induttivi diano luogo a ronzii, disturbi e compromettano
il buon funzionamento dell’impianto, il cavo del BUS non dovrebbe essere posto vicino
a campi elettromagnetici e canalizzato insieme ai conduttori dell’energia elettrica, ai
cavi microfonici, alle linee di segnale e quelle dei diffusori acustici che fanno capo ad
amplificatori.
11. Collocare il controllo remoto lontano da fonti di calore.
12. Non usare solventi, alcool, benzina o altre sostanze volatili per la pulitura delle parti
esterne.

Il controllo remoto LI 7903 ha 3 tasti funzione programmabili (ciascuno con
un LED di segnalazione) e può essere usato per collegare un microfono od
una sorgente musicale locale tramite l’ingresso (jack TRS 3,5 mm) sul pannello
frontale.
È inoltre possibile utilizzare un connettore esterno addizionale (non incluso) come
ingresso audio, collegando al terminale interno X2.

Il microinterruttore 6 del gruppo S1 attiva l’alimentazione “Phantom” all’ingresso
MIC/LINE (necessaria per i microfoni ad elettrete).

Sul pannello frontale è presente un ingresso audio mono microfonico o di linea
(jack TRS 3,5 mm).
Nota: per collegare una sorgente stereo (es. lettore CD), è necessario interporre
un adattatore jack 3,5 mm con ingresso stereo ed uscita mono.
È inoltre possibile collegare un connettore esterno tramite i contatti J2 del
controllo LI 7903.

Il controllo remoto LI 7903 è collegabile al BUS via cavo CAT5/CAT6.

Assicurarsi che il sistema DXT 7000 sia spento quando si collegano dei controlli
remoti.
Più controlli remoti possono essere collegati tra loro ponendo insieme in parallelo
i conduttori entranti ed uscenti.

Fissare il controllo remoto LI 7903 alla sua scatola da parete.
Collegare il pannello frontale al connettore ad 8 poli del circuito stampato (nota:
assicurarsi che il sistema DXT 7000 sia spento prima di procedere).
Inserire e premere il pannello frontale nel telaio in modo che le clip (sia sul bordo
superiore, sia su quello inferiore) lo fissino.
All’accensione tutti i 3 LED sul pannello frontale indicano lo stato del sistema
nel seguente modo:
-se tutti i LED si accendono e poi si spengono, tutto è a posto ed il controllo
remoto è già funzionante;
-nel caso i LED lampeggino in sequenza con un tempo di un secondo, il controllo
remoto non è stato impostato correttamente nella configurazione software
(controllare l’indirizzo).
9. FUNZIONI
Il controllo remoto LI 7903 può essere usato per una delle seguenti funzioni:
-annunci selettivi;
-invio di messaggi registrati;
-attivazione di un’uscita di controllo (MU 7100);
-cambio di “preset” (MU 7100);
-disattivazione di zone durante un annuncio.
I tasti funzione devono essere impostati nel software di configurazione.
LOCAL PAGING
Collegare un microfono (od una sorgente musicale) al connettore MIC/LINE
(jack TRS 3,5 mm) e premere il tasto funzione (impostato tramite software)
per effettuare un annuncio verso la zona assegnata.
Se il tono di preavviso è previsto, il LED del tasto lampeggia velocemente
durante la sua diffusione.
Quando il LED è acceso, il canale audio è attivato.
Il livello del segnale d’uscita può essere regolato con il trimmer posto sopra il
connettore MIC/LINE.
L’annuncio termina (ed il LED si spegne) non appena il tasto funzione è
premuto di nuovo.

MESSAGGI REGISTRATI
Un messaggio può essere inviato (una sola volta o continuamente) ad una
zona assegnata. Se il tono di preavviso è previsto, il LED del tasto lampeggia
velocemente durante la sua diffusione.
Durante la riproduzione del messaggio, il LED lampeggia lentamente.
I messaggi inviati una sola volta comportano l’autodisattivazione al termine;
i messaggi inviati continuamente necessitano di un comando di stop manuale
(premendo di nuovo il tasto funzione).
ATTIVAZIONE DI UN’USCITA DI CONTROLLO MU 7100
È possibile attivare un’uscita di controllo dell’unità centrale MU 7100 (in
modo stabile ON/OFF o per un tempo compreso tra 1 e 20 secondi, a
seconda della configurazione).
Il LED del tasto premuto si accende quando l’uscita di controllo è stata
attivata.
CAMBIO DI PRESET (MU 7100)
I preset (dell’unità centrale MU 7100) possono essere cambiati tramite i
controlli remoti LI 7903.
Il LED del relativo tasto funzione si accende per un attimo a conferma
dell’avvenuto cambio.
DISATTIVAZIONE DI ZONE DURANTE UN ANNUNCIO
È possibile disattivare certe zone durante un annuncio
(il LED del relativo tasto si accende).
