Before connecting and using this product, please read this instruction manual carefully
and keep it on hand for future reference.The manual is to be considered an integral part
of this product and must accompany it when it changes ownership as a reference for
correct installation and use as well as for the safety precautions.
RCF S.p.A. will not assume any responsibility for the incorrect installation and / or use
of this product.
WARNING:To prevent the risk of fire or electric shock, never expose this remote control
to rain or humidity.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. All the precautions, in particular the safety ones, must be read with special attention,
as they provide important information.
2. SV 7982 remote control is a DXT 7000 system component. Assure the system is
turned off before installing it.
3. Assure all connections have been made correctly.
4. Make sure that no objects or liquids can get into this product, as this may cause a
short circuit.
5. Never attempt to carry out any operations, modifications or repairs. Contact your
authorized service centre or qualified personnel should any of the following occur:
-The remote control does not operate (or works in an anomalous way).
-Objects or liquids have got into the remote control.
-The remote control has been damaged (due to heavy impacts or fire).
6. Should any part of the remote control emit any strange odour or smoke, remove it
from the line after having immediately switched the system off.
7. Do not connect this product to any equipment or accessories not foreseen. Check the
suitability of the support surface (wall, structure, etc., which the product is anchored to)
and the components used for attachment that must guarantee the security of the system
/ installation over time, also considering, for example, the mechanical vibrations normally
generated by transducers.
8. RCF S.p.A. strongly recommends this product is only installed by professional
qualified installers (or specialised firms), who can ensure a correct installation and certify
it according to the regulations in force. The entire audio system must comply with the
current standards and regulations regarding electrical systems.
9. Hearing loss
Exposure to high sound levels can cause permanent hearing loss. The acoustic pressure
level that leads to hearing loss is different from person to person and depends on
the duration of exposure. To prevent potentially dangerous exposure to high levels of
acoustic pressure, anyone who is exposed to these levels should use adequate protection
devices. When a transducer capable of producing high sound levels is being used, it will
be necessary to wear ear plugs or protective earphones.
10. To prevent inductive effects from causing hum, noise and a bad system working, the
BUS cable should not be laid together with other electric cables (mains), loudspeaker
lines, microphone or line level signal cables or be close to electro-magnetic fields.
11. Install this remote control selector far from any heat source.
12. Do not use solvents, alcohol, benzene or other volatile substances to clean its
external parts.external parts.

This remote control operates as a channel selector and allows to adjust the
volume of a zone group.
On its front panel: two channel buttons (up/down), two volume buttons (up/
down) and two 7-segment displays.

4. BUS CONNECTION
SV 7982 is connected to the system, via CAT5/CAT6 cable, through its X2 (8-pin)
terminal strip on the rear side of the printed circuit board.
X2 terminal strip pins:
1 Audio + (cable pair 2)
2 Audio – (cable pair 2)
3 Audio ground (cable pair 3)
4 ground (cable pair 1)
5 + 12 V dc (cable pair 1)
6 + 24 V dc (cable pair 3)
7 Data (A) (cable pair 4)
8 Data (B) (cable pair 4)
Make sure the DXT 7000 system is off when connecting remote controls.
More remote controls can be linked together in parallel (daisy-chain) by
connecting incoming and outgoing cables together.
Screw the SV 7982 remote control with its fastening plate to its wall box.
Connect its front panel to the 4-pin connector on the PCB (note: make sure the
DXT 7000 system is off before proceeding).
Press its front panel into the fastening plate in a way that its clips (on the upper
and lower edges) lock it.
All SV 7982 functions (the program group controlled by SV 7982 and available
inputs) need to be set by using the configuration software.

On power-up, the two 7-segment displays sequentially indicate:

Press a channel button (up or down) to select the channel (up to 7 available, it
depends on the software configuration), then press a volume button (up or down)
to get the desired volume.
If both displays are blank, the first button press will show the current channel and
the relevant volume (then press a button again to select a channel or adjust the
volume).
When selecting a channel and adjusting the relevant volume, the two displays
show the channel number (from 1 up to 7) and the level (0 ÷ 9.):
example: channel 2, level 5.
Note that the volume has 20 steps / levels:
0 0. 1 1. 2 2. 3 3. 4 4. 5 5. 6 6. 7 7. 8 8. 9 9.
The dot indicates a higher level, example: 1. (with a dot) is the intermediate value
between 1 and 2 .
The remote control turns stand-by if no button has been pressed for a certain
time.

Prima di collegare ed utilizzare questo prodotto, leggere attentamente le istruzioni
contenute in questo manuale, il quale è da conservare per riferimenti futuri. Il presente
manuale costituisce parte integrante del prodotto e deve accompagnare quest’ultimo
anche nei passaggi di proprietà, per permettere al nuovo proprietario di conoscere le
modalità d’installazione e d’utilizzo e le avvertenze per la sicurezza. L’installazione e
l’utilizzo errati del prodotto esimono la RCF S.p.A. da ogni responsabilità.
ATTENZIONE: Per prevenire i rischi di fiamme o scosse elettriche, non esporre le parti
che compongono il controllo remoto alla pioggia od all’umidità.
AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA
1. Tutte le avvertenze, in particolare quelle relative alla sicurezza, devono essere lette
con particolare attenzione, in quanto contengono importanti informazioni.
2. Il controllo remoto SV 7982 è un componente del sistema DXT 7000; assicurarsi che il
sistema sia spento prima di installarlo.
3. Assicurarsi che tutte le connessioni siano corrette.
4. Impedire che oggetti o liquidi entrino nel prodotto, perché potrebbero causare un
corto circuito.
5. Non eseguire sul prodotto interventi / modifiche / riparazioni.
Contattare i centri di assistenza autorizzati o personale altamente qualificato quando:
-il controllo remoto non funziona (o funziona in modo anomalo);
-oggetti o liquidi sono entrati nel controllo remoto;
-il controllo remoto non è più integro (a causa di urti / incendio).
6. Nel caso che dalle parti che compongono il controllo remoto provengano odori
anomali o fumo, scollegarlo dopo aver immediatamente spento il sistema.
7. Non collegare al controllo remoto apparecchi ed accessori non previsti.
Verificare l’idoneità del supporto (parete, struttura, ecc.) e dei componenti utilizzati per
il fissaggio che devono garantire la sicurezza dell’impianto / installazione nel tempo,
anche considerando, ad esempio, vibrazioni meccaniche normalmente generate da un
trasduttore.
8. La RCF S.p.A. raccomanda vivamente che l’installazione di questo prodotto sia
eseguita solamente da installatori professionali qualificati (oppure da ditte specializzate)
in grado di farla correttamente e certificarla in accordo con le normative vigenti. Tutto
il sistema audio dovrà essere in conformità con le norme e le leggi vigenti in materia di
impianti elettrici.
9. Perdita dell’udito
L’esposizione ad elevati livelli sonori può provocare la perdita permanente dell’udito.
Il livello di pressione acustica pericolosa per l’udito varia sensibilmente da persona
a persona e dipende dalla durata dell’esposizione. Per evitare un’esposizione
potenzialmente pericolosa ad elevati livelli di pressione acustica, è necessario che
chiunque sia sottoposto a tali livelli utilizzi delle adeguate protezioni; quando si
fa funzionare un trasduttore in grado di produrre elevati livelli sonori è necessario
indossare dei tappi per orecchie o delle cuffie protettive.
10. Per evitare che fenomeni induttivi diano luogo a ronzii, disturbi e compromettano
il buon funzionamento dell’impianto, il cavo del BUS non dovrebbe essere posto vicino
a campi elettromagnetici e canalizzato insieme ai conduttori dell’energia elettrica, ai
cavi microfonici, alle linee di segnale e quelle dei diffusori acustici che fanno capo ad
amplificatori.
11. Collocare il controllo remoto lontano da fonti di calore.
12. Non usare solventi, alcool, benzina o altre sostanze volatili per la pulitura delle parti
esterne.

1. DESCRIZIONE
Il controllo remoto SV 7982 permette la selezione di un canale e la regolazione
del volume di un gruppo di zone.
Sul pannello frontale sono presenti 2 tasti CHANNEL per la selezione del canale,
2 tasti VOLUME per la regolazione del volume e 2 display a 7 segmenti.
Da montare nella sua scatola a parete.

4. COLLEGAMENTO AL BUS
Il controllo remoto SV 7982 è collegabile al sistema, via cavo CAT5/CAT6, tramite
il suo connettore X2 (8 poli) posto sul lato posteriore del circuito stampato.
Elenco dei poli del connettore X2:
1 Audio + (coppia nr.2 del cavo)
2 Audio – (coppia nr.2 del cavo)
3 Massa Audio (coppia nr.3 del cavo)
4 Massa (coppia nr.1 del cavo)
5 + 12 V c.c. (coppia nr.1 del cavo)
6 + 24 V c.c. (coppia nr.3 del cavo)
7 Dati (A) (coppia nr.4 del cavo)
8 Dati (B) (coppia nr.4 del cavo)
Assicurarsi che il sistema DXT 7000 sia spento quando si collegano dei controlli
remoti.
Più controlli remoti possono essere collegati tra loro ponendo insieme in parallelo
i conduttori entranti ed uscenti.
Fissare il controllo remoto SV 7982 alla sua scatola da parete.
Collegare il pannello frontale al connettore a 4 poli del circuito stampato (nota:
assicurarsi che il sistema DXT 7000 sia spento prima di procedere).
Inserire e premere il pannello frontale nel telaio in modo che le clip (sia sul bordo
superiore, sia su quello inferiore) lo fissino.
Le funzioni del controllo remoto SV 7982 (i gruppi dei programmi controllati e gli
ingressi disponibili) devono essere impostate nel software di configurazione.

Premere un tasto CHANNEL per selezionare il canale (fino a 7 disponibili; dipende
dalla configurazione software), poi premere un tasto VOLUME per impostare il
volume desiderato.
Se entrambi i display sono spenti, la prima pressione di un tasto renderà visibili il
canale attivo ed il relativo volume (poi premere di nuovo un tasto per cambiare
canale o regolare il volume).
Quando si seleziona un canale o si regola il volume, i 2 display mostrano il canale
(da 1 a 7) ed il livello (0 ÷ 9.) del volume:
esempio: canale 2, livello 5.
Notare che sono disponibili 20 livelli / passi per la regolazione del volume:
0 0. 1 1. 2 2. 3 3. 4 4. 5 5. 6 6. 7 7. 8 8. 9 9.
Il punto indica un livello più alto; ad esempio, 1. (col punto) è il valore intermedio
tra 1 e 2.
Il controllo remoto si pone automaticamente in stato d’attesa (stand-by) se
nessun tasto è stato premuto entro un certo tempo.
