* - Indicator readings are considered adequate in 30 seconds after the filling-in if the vehicle stays
in horizontal position
**-When the fuel level less than the lower limit of the measuring range possible incorrect sensor
readings. It is recommended to refuel without waiting for the achievement of the level of fuel lower
limit of the measuring range.
There are 3 modifications of SIGMA ULS sensors, which have different data
interface for setting:
SIGMA ULS - no data transfer interface (setting by battons);
SIGMA ULS2 - RS-232 interface for setting;
SIGMA ULS4 - RS-485 interface for setting.

BASIC PRODUCT INFORMATION
Ultrasonic level sensor “SIGMA” is purposed for noninvasive liquified petroleum
(propane/butane) gas (LPG) level measurement in horizontally positioned gas tanks of
vehicles. It is also possible to use a sensor to measure the level of gasoline, diesel fuel
and other liquid media in tanks with a circular shape of the vertical cross-section of the
tank. Sensor consists of two parts –measuring device and a converter with the
indicator. Measuring device is installed outside the gas tank. It emits the ultrasonic
waves into the gas tank than receives the reflected signal, which corresponds to the
fuel level.

Converter calculates fuel level according to the measuring device data and shows
readings on the indicator display in liters.
Indicator displays the remaining amount of fuel
in its basic operation mode.

To determine the filled-in fuel during
refueling:
you should press Button 1 (lower one)
before refueling, then you should press
Button 2 (upper one) to set up the
reference level of fuel.
After the refueling, indicator will show the amount of filled-in fuel, excluding the
initial fuel in the tank. You can switch between the basic operation mode and refueling
mode pressing Button 1.

INSTALLATION
Sensor installation and calibration is performed according to the "ULS.0000 IM.
Installation manual". You can find this document on our web site:
www.autovision.com.ua.
We recommend to perform an installation at the specialized liquid gas repair shops.
Measuring device is fastened underneath the gas tank with the fixing device.
Converter with the indicator can be installed in any convenient place, e.g. dashboard
of the vehicle.
Sensor installation doesn’t influence the framework or installed liquid gas
equipment operation.
MANUFACTURER (SUPPLIER) WARRANTY
Warranty period is 12 months from the sale date of the sensor through a retail or
wholesale network to the end user. If there is no trading organization stamp with the
date of sale in the warranty certificate, warranty period is 18 months (calculated from
the manufacture date of the sensor).
These warranties are valid only if consumer follow the requirements of the present
operational documentation.
In case of violation of these requirements or if there are evidence of high-voltage or
aggressive environments or mechanical damage, warranty becomes invalid.
