Humidity Meter (Reed YK-80HT)
Humidity Meter measures the temperature and humidity of a given area.

Procedure
1) Connect the probe to the humidity meter
2) Turn on the humidity meter (POWER)
3) Upper display is humidity in units of “%RH” and lower display is temperature in “°C”
4) Press °C/°F to change between Celsius and Fahrenheit
5) Press the “REC MAX/MIN” button to begin recording measurements
6) Press “REC MAX/MIN” once to retrieve maximum value measured (display shows MAX)
7) Press “REC MAX/MIN” again to retrieve minimum value measured (display shows MIN)
8) Press and hold “HOLD” to reset the recorded values and begin testing again
Measurements
-Temperature – °C/°F
-Humidity - %RH (Relative Humidity)
Sampling Methods
• Account for the time of day (morning, afternoon, evening etc.)
• Account for the surrounding area (5m away from area, 10m away from area, etc.) to determine
if there are significant changes in the reading
• Consider the time of reading if taken during shift work, sometimes shift work is slow at the
beginning and slows down as shift comes to an end
• Determine if outside weather affects the reading (open or close area)
