Taking a Measurement
TurnthemeterONbypressingthe button.Holdthemeterinaupright
positionsotheballsensorisintheairandatleast8to10cmawayfrom
anyobject.PresstheMEASbuttonand“CAL"willdisplayontheLCD
screenwhiletheunitselfcalibrates.Thevaluemustbebelow0.5tobe
abletotakeaccuratemeasurements.Ifthereadingisabove0.5youmust
turnthemeteroffandmovetoadryareatocalibrate.Afterthemeteris
calibrateditwillautomaticallystarttotakemeasurements.Toholdthe
current measurement press the MEASbuttonandthedataholdsymbol
willappearontheLCDscreen.After30secondsofinactivitythemeterwill
autopoweroff.
Note: Whenyoumovefromthelocationofyourinitialcalibrationyou
mustre-calibratethemeter.
Alarm Set Mode
TochangetheRISKandWETalarmvalue,turnonandcalibratethemeter.
PresstheMEASbuttontoputthemeterindataholdandpresstheSET
button.TheRISKsymbolwillappearontheLCDscreenandthevalue
whichtheRISKalarmissetto.Tochangethealarmvalue,presstheUP
or DOWNbuttons.PresstheSETbuttontosaveyoursettingandto
changetheWETalarmvalue.TheWETsymbolwillappearonthescreen
besidetheWETalarmvalue.TochangetheWETalarmvalue,pressthe
UP or DOWNbuttons.PresstheSETbuttontosavetheWETalarmvalue
andtoreturntodataholdmode.Ifthemoisturemeasurementexceeds
theRISKalarmsetting,themeterwillbeepeverysecond.Ifthemoisture
measurementexceedstheWETalarmsetting,themeterwillbeepevery
halfsecond.
Notes
• TheRISKalarmvalueisbetween0-50.Thedefaultsettingis30.
• TheWETalarmvalueisbetween50-100.Thedefaultsettingis60.
Backlighting
Whenthemeterisindatahold,presstheUPbuttontoturnthebacklighting
onoroff.
