Enuresis Switch - #1102
USER’S GUIDE
385 Warburton Avenue

Place sensor in potty or a dry diaper, if appropriate, and this unit will
reward controlled urination. When sensor is wetted the switch turns on a
toy or device. Requires 2 AA Batteries
Operation:
1. The Enuresis switch requires two AA batteries (Not included).
Alkaline batteries must be used (e.g. Duracell or Energizer Brands).
Do not use rechargeable batteries because they supply a lower voltage
and the unit may not perform as well. Never mix old and new
batteries together or different brands or types together.
2. To access the battery compartment, you will need to remove the black
cover of the unit. You will need a quarter to do this. On the side of
the unit, opposite the cord, you will see groove labeled OPEN HERE.
Place the quarter in this groove, with the side of the quarter pushing
into the yellow seal. Push and twist the quarter to pop the black cover
open. Remove the black cover completely.
3. Install 2 AA batteries into the compartment paying close attention to
proper battery polarity. Then simply press the black cover back into
position.
4. The unit can be clipped onto the person’s belt or clothing, OR placed
in whatever location is appropriate for the situation. Place one of the
white cloth covers (provided) over the end of the sensor. Pull it up so
that the tip of the sensor just shows through at the bottom. Once you
have used all of the provided cloth covers, you can either call us to
order more, OR simply wrap the end of the sensor in a layer of gauze.
5. Plug the removable sensor into the 1/8"cord jack of the Enuresis
switch. Place the sensor in the area where wetness could be expected.
If you do not use one of the cloth covers or gauze, you may have a
problem with “false activation” as the device may be set off with
normal moisture on the skin.
6. You can remove the cloth cover (or gauze) and rinse the sensor under
warm water with mild soap. Unplug the sensor from the main unit
before cleaning. Dry it off with a paper towel or cloth. Place another
cover or another piece of gauze over the sensor and re-place it in the
appropriate location.
7. Plug the Enuresis Switch into the jack on your switch-adapted
toy/device.
8. If it is necessary for you to use an adapter, make sure that you use a
MONO adapter, not a STEREO adapter.
9. Make sure that the connection between the Enuresis Switch and your
toy/device is tight. There should be no gaps.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO OSHA STANDARDS, WE ARE UNABLE
TO ACCEPT RETURNS ON THIS ITEM.
Troubleshooting:
If the unit is not functioning as it is supposed to:
•Check the batteries. Make sure they are fresh and that they are
installed according to proper polarity.
•Make sure that the sensor has either a cloth cover or a layer of gauze
over it. If not, you may get “false activation.”
•Make sure that the sensor is placed in the location where
wetness/moisture is to be expected.
•Make sure that you clean the sensor off and dry it well after each use.
Do not reuse wet cloth covers or gauze.
•Make sure that the connection between the Enuresis Switch and your
toy/device is tight. There should be no gaps. This is a common error
and an easy fix.
If you have tried ALL of the above and the unit still does not function
properly contact our technical support department.
Care of Unit:
The Enuresis Switch can be wiped clean with any mild household multi-
purpose, non-abrasive cleaner and disinfectant. We recommend Simple
Green, which is a non toxic biodegradable all-purpose cleaner.
