Dear Customer !
With the purchase of this STEAMY - MINI you have made your decision for a quality product.
The main features of Reitel devices are the high technique, longevity, high wear resistance as well as easy
maintenance. They are subject to the ISO 9001-2000 quality rules which are stipulated and controlled.
Please make sure you read the operating instructions, especially the safety directions, and to observe them
carefully before installing and commissioning the device.
After having unpacked the device, please check carefully whether transportation damages of any kind
have occurred. If that is the case, the carrier or manufacturer must be notified within 3 days. The company
will not be responsible for any damages found after that.
The Steamy-Mini is a steam cleaner with a dry steam level. Objects can be cleaned and degreased without
any chemical additives.

2. Safety Instructions
2.1. General safety instructions

• These instructions must be read and followed by all personnel who use this device.
• Furthermore, personnel should follow all local safety rules.
• All equipment undergoes final inspection and testing before leaving our factory. However, if
equipment is damaged during shipping or through any other circumstances, it must not be used in
service. Please check the device regularly for damages. Damaged parts should be replaced
immediately!
• This equipment has been designed to be used only for its intended purpose. All other uses must be
prohibited for safety reasons.
• It is prohibited to take off housing or safety parts.
• This device should not be left running while unattended.
• To prevent accidents from water, fire or explosion, all power/air/water/gas sources should be turned
off after working hours and during breaks, and secured against unauthorized access.
• All power/air/water/gas sources should be rated for the demands of the device as listed in the technical
data sheets. Maximum ratings must not be exceeded. All VDE (Verein Deutscher Elektro-Ingenieure)
standards should be followed. Equipment should be grounded according to standards.
• Follow all local regulations when disposing of waste.
• Repairs should be carried out only by the manufacturer or by personnel appointed by the
manufacturer. Appointed personnel must present written proof of qualifications and required training.
The appointed personnel bear responsibility for completing the work properly and for adhering to
accident-prevention regulations (UVV).
• Use original spare parts only.
• When carrying out maintenance works or repairs or when opening the device always turn off the main
power switch and unplug the whole unit.
• Modifications may only be made after consultation with, and by permission of, the manufacturer.
Modifications without permission will void all warranty and liability claims.
• The device should be set up in a heated, well-ventilated, clean room. Supporting surfaces should be
straight, flat and adequately stable.
• Don’t put anything on top of the machine.
• REITEL GmbH assumes no liability for damages to surfaces caused by equipment supports/feet.
2.2. Specific safety instructions
• This device should only be filled with decalcified or distilled water.
Warning: Only use suitable decalcifier according to manufacturer’s recommendations.

• The device must not be filled under pressure and not be connected to the water supply.
• The tank cap (TV) may only be opened when the device isn’t under pressure.
• The device must not be filled if the heater is hot and tank is empty (danger of scalding).
• The steam jet is only to be aimed at objects to be cleaned, never at living beings!
• Please make sure that everybody leaves at least 1 m distance to the side at which the outlet of the
safety valve (SHV) is situated. The minimum distance to heat-resistant things is 4 – 5 cm, to non heat-
resistant things 30 cm.
• The device should be filled up every morning when it’s in a cold state, this saves the heat aggregates
as well as the sealings.
3. Installation
1. Please make sure the device is only put up in a heatable room with a decent ventilation.
2. Please check the device for possible damages.
3. The electric equipment is being delivered fully installed. The sealed plug can be connected direct to
the mains supply 230 V / 50 Hz with a sealed socket.
4. Leave at least a space of 30 cm between safety valve and other things or living beings.
5. The device can be fixed to the wall by using special hooks or a stainless steel tray.
4. Working Instructions
4.1 Filling
1. Turn the heater off - Turn power switch (SE) off or control unit (RH) to the left.
- Open tank cap (TV).
2. Filling the tank up when it is still - Ventilate the tank: open the tank cap carefully, let the
under pressure. steam out by pistol (press red key “TD”).
3. Fill distilled or decalcified water - Don’t put too much water in.
up to the top. - Use a hopper.
4. Close the tank cap (TV).
Important: To avoid that the machine will run dry fill water up every morning!
4.2 Chronological run of operation
• Fill machine with water acc. to 4.1 before
starting work.
• Turn power switch (SE) on. - Heating will start automatically (after about 15 min.

the pressure is reached).
• Adjust pressure: press control unit (RH) - The pressure builds itself up only in the upper quarter
of the control unit delayed.
• Take out dry steam - Press red key (TD).
• Machine needs refilling - Control lamp is on which means the device needs
refilling (look at 4.1).
The heating will turn itself off automatically.
5. Troubleshooting
• Safety valve (SHV) opens - Turn control unit (RH) down and inform customer
services.
• Control lamp (LT) shines although water - Temperature limiter or control unit are turned off -
was filled in, steam was taken out and (maybe broken), inform customer services. After the
control unit was set to max. machine has cooled down, the temperature limiter has
to be pressed again. To do so, take black protection cap
off.
• Tank cap (TV) untight - Replace cap or seal.
•No steam - Machine might be calcified or valve blocked.
- Push buttons or valves damaged (inform customer
services).
- refer to point 2.
• No steam pressure - Temperature limiter might be released - press it back in
again after 5 min.
- Is control unit (RH) set to max?
• Pistol drips - Machine might be calcified or valve blocked – decalcify
the machine.
• Static charge - Touch contact screw (KS) on pistol while jetting.
•High wear of seals - Ventilate tank by using red pistol holder before heating
up.
•Machine doesn’t work after turning - No power at the socket (check fuse for the building).

•Machine’s fuse (SIG) blown - Unplug the whole unit and change the fuse (SIG).
•Short circuit - Water in housing (dry machine).
- Maybe heating, transformer, valves etc. damaged
(inform customer services).

6. Maintenance
6.1 Decalcifying
1. Turn power switch (SE) off.
2. Let the machine cool itself down and empty it.
3. Fill decalcifier in according to manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Close tank cap (TV).
5. Turn power switch back on. As soon as the pressure starts building up, put the pistol’s nose into a
bucket filled with water and press the red push button (TD) of the pistol several times. Turn device
onto the side so that the decalcifier will be more affective. When pressure is built up more than 1 bar
turn control unit (RH) down.
6. Let the device cool down, let the steam out until pressure is “0”, empty the tank and rinse thoroughly
with strong water stream several times.
7. Warranty
We give a
1 year’s warranty
beginning from the official date of purchase. This warranty covers all defects traceable to materials,
design or workmanship. During this time, we’ll repair these defects at no charge. Please carefully pack
and ship the device pre-paid to us, along with a report describing the defect. You must also include a copy
of your invoice.
This warranty does not include consumable parts. We assume no liability for damages caused by
inappropriate use, damages caused by continued use of malfunctioning equipment, or any other damages.
This warranty does not apply to equipment which as been modified, whether by the purchaser or any
other third party.
Equipment loans:
Should you need to lend out a device while your device is being repaired, please contact Messrs. Reitel or
your distributor. These loans are a service for which availability cannot necessarily be guaranteed. After
the warranty period, a fee will be charged for hired devices as well as for shipping and packaging.
