Use & Care Guide
• Select desired temperature setting. Start with
a low setting and gradually increase heat
as needed based on hair type.
• Plug in the unit. The ON indicator will glow
red, and in a few minutes it will be ready for
use.
• Hair should be completely dried before
using a straightening iron.
• To make styling easier, use clips to section
your hair: top, sides, and back.
• Always start from the back of your neck,
continue over the sides and finish with the
front section.
• Take a small section of hair and pull it taut.
Holding the appliance with the other hand,
start at the roots and clamp the hair firmly
between the plates.
• With the plates clamped together, run the
straightener down the entire length of hair,
from roots to ends, without stopping.
• Repeat until the desired amount of
straightening has been achieved.
WARNING: The plates of this professional
straightener will get very hot within a few
seconds. Do not touch the plates or let
them come in contact with the skin once
the straightener has been turned on.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Locking Switch
To lock the straightener in the closed position for
travel or storage, squeeze the plates together and
turn the locking switch clockwise. Make sure to
unlock the appliance before plugging it in the next
time. Simply turn the locking switch counter-
clockwise to unlock it.
DUAL VOLTAGE USE
This product contains a special electronic circuit.
This circuit automatically adjusts to worldwide
voltage. When traveling overseas, this product
can be plugged into any voltage outlet without
your having to adjust the product manually in any
way. In some overseas countries, an attachment
plug adapter of the proper configuration for the
power supply receptacle may be required. DO
NOT USE a voltage converter or extension cord
with this product.
STRAIGHTENING YOUR HAIR
Take extra care when using a Professional
Straightening iron. It is important to set the
correct temperature for your hair type before
styling to prevent damage to the hair.
• Make sure the locking switch is in the
unlocked position.
How to Use
Maintenance
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Always heat the unit with the locking
switch in the UNLOCK position.
NEVER heat the unit when the locking
switch is in the LOCKED position.
• Hold unit only by the handle; other areas
get hot when in use.
• DO NOT use an abrasive cleaning fluid
or material to clean the plates, as damage
will occur. After the unit has cooled, wipe
the plates with a damp cloth.
• DO NOT scratch the surface of the plates,
as this will diminish the effectiveness
of the non-stick Teflon® plus Ceramic and
Ionic coating.
• The red indicator light is for power supply
indications only - this is not to show when
the unit is ready to use.
• DO NOT get the unit too close to scalp,
face, ears, neck or skin.
• After use, allow unit to cool completely
before storing.
USER MAINTENANCE
INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure the unit is unplugged and
cool. Clean the outside of the power
handle with a slightly damp cloth. Wipe
the plates with damp cloth. No other
maintenance is required.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug the unit. Allow
it to cool, empty tank and store out of
reach of children in a safe, dry location.
Never wrap the cord around the appliance
since this will cause the cord to wear
prematurely and break. Handle cord
carefully, and avoid jerking, twisting or
straining it especially at plug connections.
