How to Use
Heat Settings
Take extra care when using a professional
styler. To prevent hair damage, make sure to
use the correct temperature setting for your
hair type.
Setting Hair Type
1-10 very fine, fragile, damaged hair
11-20 normal, easy to style hair
21-30 thick, difficult to style hair
Auto-off
After approximately one hour,
the unit will automatically shut
itself off. To reactivate the unit,
press the ON/OFF switch.
Usage Tips
For all styles:
1. Hair should be dry and free of tangles
before using the styling iron.
2. For Loose Curls and Waves, slide the
curling sleeve over the barrel before
plugging it into an electrical outlet.
3. Plug the styler into an electrical
outlet. Press the power button to turn
the unit on.
4. Adjust the temperature setting using
the temperature dial. The ready
light will flash while the unit heats
up, then glow steadily when it has
reached the selected temperature.
5. Divide the hair into manageable
sections and clip the upper layers on
top of your head out of the way. Work
with underneath layers first.
6. Test the styler on a small section of
hair, then adjust the temperature up
or down before styling the rest of
your hair.
Smoothing:
The curling sleeve can be off or on for
smoothing.
1. Simply slide a piece of hair in
between the split barrel and slowly
slide down the section of hair.
- Hold the cool tips for more control.
- The smoothing method is ideal for
correcting a mistake made during
curling or for smoothing hair at the
crown with curls at the bottom. We
recommend using a traditional flat
iron to achieve a completely pin-
straight look.
Maintenance
Cleaning
■ Make sure the unit is unplugged and
cool. Use a damp cloth to clean the
plates and the outside of the power
handle. No other maintenance of the
unit is required.
Storage
Unplug the unit whenever it is not
in use. Allow it to cool, then store it
out of reach of children in a safe, dry
location.
Never wrap the cord around the appli-
ance, since this will cause the cord
to wear prematurely and break, thus
voiding warranty. Handle the cord
carefully and avoid jerking, twisting,
or straining it, especially at plug con-
nections.

Medium Curls:
The curling sleeve should be off the product
for Medium curls.
1. Holding the handle of the styler, wrap
a section of hair completely around the
barrel.
2. Unwind the hair and release the curl.
3. Repeat on remaining sections.
Loose Curls:
The curling sleeve should be on the product
for Loose Curls.
1. Feed a section of the hair through the split
barrel. The styler should be positioned at
the top of your head, near the crown.
2. Turn the styler 180° and then slide down
the hair slowly. This technique is similar
to curling ribbon with a pair of scissors:
the hair should be taut over the top of the
curling sleeve and the slide down the hair
should be slow.
3. Release the hair at the bottom and twirl the
section of hair into a curl with your fingers.
4. Repeat on remaining sections.
Waves:
The curling sleeve should be on the product
for Waves.
1. Feed a section of hair through the split
barrel. The styler should be positioned at
the top of your head, near the crown.
2. Rotate the styler 180° away from the head
and hold in place for several seconds. The
hair should be taut across the edge and
top of the curling sleeve during this step.
3. Turn the styler back to center and move
down the strand of hair about one inch.
4. Rotate the styler 180° towards your head
and hold in place for several seconds. The
hair should be taut across the edge and
top of the curling sleeve during this step.
5. Turn the styler back to center and move
down the strand of hair. Repeat the rocking
motion, alternating directions down the
section of hair.
6. Repeat on remaining sections.
