UsercanselecttheIRcodefromthebuilt‐incodelibraryofZXT‐120,
oruselearningfunction,byusingZ‐WaveConfigurationCommands
accordingtotheparametertable.ZXT‐120isalsowithbuilt‐in
temperaturesensorwhichallowsgatewayorcontrollertogetthe
currentroomtemperature.

intothekeyholesoftheZXT‐120.Otherwise,theZXT‐120canfall

TheZXT‐120canbemountedtoawallorwoodenracksusingthetwo
keyholesinthebottomcase.
Note 1: The reception sensitivity varies depending on the antenna
direction.

1. Obtaintwoscrewssuitableforthewallstrengthandmaterial.
Thescrewsizeisshowninthefigurebelow.
2. ThepositionalrelationshipbetweentheZXT‐120keyholesand
thescrewmountingpositionsareshowninthefigurebelow.
Note 1: When mounting the screws to the wall, leave a space
between the wall and screw cap as shown in the figure.
3. InserttheZXT‐120keyholesontothetwoscrewsmountedto
thewall,andthenslidedownwardtosecureinplace.
4. AftersecuringtheZXT‐120tothewall,connecttheUSBPower
orbatteriesandIRemittercabletotheZXT‐120.

dependingontheamountofobjectsinbetweenZ‐Wavedevicessuch
aswallsandfurniture.EveryZ‐Wavedevicesetupinyournetworkwill
actasasignalrepeaterallowingdevicestotalktoeachotherandfind
alternateroutesinthecaseofareceptiondeadspot.
Radiofrequencylimitations:
1. Eachwallorobject(i.e.:refrigerator,bookshelf,largeTV,etc)can
reducethemaximumrangeof20mbyupto20to30%.
2. Plasterboardandwoodenwallsblocklessoftheradiosignalthen
concrete,brickortilewallswhichwillhavemoreofaneffecton
signalstrength.
3. WallmountedZ‐Wavedeviceswillalsosufferalossofrangeif
theyarehousedinmetaljunctionboxeswhichcouldalsoreduce
therangebyupto20to30%.
