2006/42/EU;
b. is besides the provisions under a) manufactured according to the following directives: Low
Voltage Directive (LVD) 2014/35/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU;
c. is manufactured in conformity with the following harmonised standards: EN 60204-1:2006,
EN 55014-1, EN 60335-2-58, EN 61439-1, EN 55032, EN ISO 13850:2015, EN ISO
13857:2008, EN 61000-6-3 and EN 61000-6-2
d. is manufactured in accordance with EN 1717 and tted with a type AB back ow protection
device with air gap in accordance with EN 13077:2018.

2 General Description and Safety
2.1 To the user
Solo Rescue®is a heavy duty cleaning machine for rescue services that is intended for the heavy duty cleaning
of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), helmets, boots and gloves.
This instruction manual is your guide to the correct use of the Solo Rescue®heavy duty cleaning machine.
RESCUE Intellitech recommends that you study the manual thoroughly to be sure that the machine is used
correctly and safely.
Ensure that the manual is always available throughout the service life of the machine.
RESCUE Intellitech disclaims liability for any personal injury, property, or other damages of any nature
whatsoever resulting from the use of the Solo Rescue that does not correspond with this user manual or the
washing instructions of each individual PPE manufacturer.
2.2 Safety regulations
The machine uses hot water. Avoid bodily contact with the machine’s water due to the risk of burn injuries!
Do not open the door during a wash cycle, due to risk of scalding!
For safe handling of detergent, refer to the detergent manufacturers’ directions.
Do not sit or stand on the machine’s door when it is lowered.
2.3 Limited Warranty
RESCUE Intellitech warrants and represents that all of its products are free of defects in materials or
workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of delivery, subject to normal wear and tear and
provided that the relevant Solo Rescue® machine has been used in accordance with the instructions, manuals
and guidelines provided by RESCUE Intellitech (as amended from time to time).
In the event that a Solo Rescue® machine delivered by RESCUE Intellitech would not meet the requirements
under said limited warranty (that is, there would be a defect in materials or workmanship as shown within a
period of twelve months from the date of delivery), RESCUE Intellitech shall at its own cost and expense either
(i) redeliver the relevant Solo Rescue® machine (upon receipt of the defective product from the dealer and
confirmation of the defect) or (ii) remedy the relevant defect. RESCUE Intellitech shall, at its own discretion,
choose either one of remedy (i) or (ii).
Except for the limited warranty expressly stated above, neither RESCUE Intellitech nor any of its
representatives or aliates make any express or implied representation or warranty or condition with respect
to any Solo Rescue® machine or any other products delivered. RESCUE Intellitech disclaims any and all other
representations, warranties and conditions in any form whatsoever, whether express or implied, including
without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, title and/or fitness for a particular purpose.
The express limited warranty above is ONLY valid if the Solo Rescue® machine is installed by an authorized
representative of RESCUE Intellitech. If a Solo Rescue® would be installed, repaired or otherwise modified by
someone other than an authorized representative of RESCUE Intellitech, the limited warranty shall immediately
lapse.

2.4 Limitation of Liability
In no event shall RESCUE Intellitech, or any of its representatives or aliates, whether in contract, tort or
otherwise, be responsible or liable for any consequential, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or punitive
damages arising out of or in connection with the delivery of any Solo Rescue® products, or the use thereof,
regardless of (a) whether such damages were foreseeable, or (b) whether or not RESCUE Intellitech was
advised of the possibility of such damages.
Except for obligations to make payment under this agreement, each party’s aggregate liability arising out of or
related to this agreement, whether arising out of or related to breach of contract, tort (including negligence) or
otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid under this agreement during the 12-month period preceding
the event giving rise to the claim.
The limitations of liability set out herein shall not apply with respect to damages arising out of grossly negligent
acts or omissions or willful misconduct or misuse.
2.5 Always Follow Each PPE Manufacturer’s Washing Instructions
Users are obliged to diligently follow the wash, care and maintenance instructions from each individual PPE
manufacturer when using the Solo Rescue® machine. RESCUE Intellitech has no control over the production
and quality of any PPE, and therefore neither RESCUE Intellitech nor any of its representatives or aliates
make any express or implied representation or warranty with respect to PPE products washed in a Solo
Rescue® machine (including but not limited to how they should be washed, or whether they should be washed
using a Solo Rescue® machine at all.).
If the PPE manufacturer has not provided any specific machine-washing instructions for a particular piece of
PPE, each Solo Rescue® user must contact the PPE manufacturer before using the Solo Rescue® machine to
wash such PPE, in order to receive relevant information and instructions.
RESCUE Intellitech disclaims any and all liability for any damages or injury to persons, property or
otherwise resulting from (i) inaccurate or insucient instructions by a PPE manufacturer with respect to the
use of the Solo Rescue®, (ii) use of the Solo Rescue® in a way that does not correspond with the washing
instructions of the relevant PPE manufacturer, or (iii) where no such instructions exist, use of the Solo Rescue®
without the user contacting the PPE manufacturer to receive such instructions or information.
2.6 Using Disinfectants in the Solo Rescue®
RESCUE Intellitech disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for the use of disinfectants, the final
disinfection result or any damages or injury to persons, property or otherwise result-ing from (i) inaccurate
or insucient instructions by a PPE manufacturer with respect to the use of the Solo Rescue®, (ii) use of
the Solo Rescue® in a way that does not correspond with the washing instructions of the relevant PPE
manufac¬turer, or (iii) where no such instructions exist, use of the Solo Rescue® without the user contacting
the PPE manufacturer to receive such instructions or information. Disinfectants are the responsibility of each
disinfectant manufacturer and RESCUE Intellitech thus refers to each individual PPE manufacturer and their
washing instructions for any issues or queries related to disinfectants.

4 Operation
4.1 When the working day begins
1. Put the Tank Grid in place
(see figure 1 Tank Grid).
2. Put the basket wheel in place (see Figure 2
Basket wheel).
Make sure it has fallen into place on the 4
support wheels.

3. Close the drain valve on the right side of the
machine (see Figure 3 Drain Valve).
4. Turn on the main power switch.

4.2 Filling with water
1. Close the door.
2. Press the function (1) button twice
3. The machine fills with water and heats it to
the right temperature. The LEDs on buttons (3)
and (4) flash while the machine fills. The water
temperature flashes during heating.
4. For machines with a hot water supply, filling and
heating takes about 20 minutes depending on
the water pressure and temperature.

5. Once the correct temperature has been
reached in the wash tank. The green indicator
lamp will come on indicating that the machine is
ready to use.
4.3 Filling the heavy duty cleaning bas-
ket
It is important that the items sit firmly in the basket
during heavy duty cleaning. Remove any loose
debris such as wood splinters, stones and the like.
4.4 Loading and unloading the basket
Pull the basket halfway out of the machine so that it
is partly supported by the door.
Once the basket is full, slide it into place in the
machine. The basket wheel is designed so that you
can feel when the basket is correctly positioned.
Check that no items are protruding from the sides
of the basket or down through the bottom. The
basket’s rotation must not be impeded.

4.5 Basket lift
Thanks to the built-in basket lift, the basket easily
slides out onto the door for loading and unloading.
4.6 Basket (22720)
Basket with SCBA holder for both double
and single cylinders.
Capacity: 2 x SCBA with masks per basket.

4.8 Gear holder for gloves, face
masks and boots (22361)
This gear holder allows you to wash several face
masks, boots or gloves at once, or a mix it up to
suits your specific needs.
4.9 Gear holder for helmets (26230)
With the gear holder for helmets you can wash up
to three helmets at a time or up to 21 per hour.

4.10 Control panel
1. The Function button (1) is used to activate the
filling/heating of the machine’s water tank.
2. The Stop button is used to reset any alarms.
It is also used to put the machine in standby
mode. After 30 seconds, the display turns o
and the machine enters standby mode. The
Stop button’s red LED remains lit to indicate
standby mode, but all machine functions/
activities stop.
Press the function button twice to bring the
machine out of standby mode and begin
heating of wash tank.
Important Note: We recommend that the
machine be put in standby mode if it does not
need cleaning at the end of the day. The main
power can be left on for easy startup the next
day. The main power should only be turned
o when doing the weekly cleaning or during
service.
In STOP mode the wash and rinse tanks are
not heated.

4.11 Start and use
1. Press the function button twice to start filling
and heating of the wash tank.
• Once the wash tank reaches the correct
temperature the Green indicator light will
come on indicating the machine is ready to
be loaded and a wash cycle selected.
• Cleaning at a too low temperature
increases the risk of foam forming inside
the machine.
2. Select a cleaning program by pressing (3) or (4).
3. Once the machine is done cleaning “END”
appears on the LED display and the green
indicator light comes on.
4. “End” disappears from the display once the
door is opened for unloading. The button for
the last program chosen will remain lit until the
next program is selected.
5. Masks should be rinsed inside and out under
running water to ensure there is no detergent
residue left in them before being sanitized by
hand for re use.
6. Keep the door closed unless you plan to use
the machine again immediately. This saves
energy and reduces any condensation.
Stopping the machine during operation
In an emergency, press the stop button (2).

NOTE
If the machine is stopped in the middle of a program,
items may have detergent residue on them. Run
a complete wash program before the items are
unloaded or the water is drained from the machine.
WARNING
Do not open the door during a cleaning program (red
light on) due to risk of scalding!

4.12 Resetting the overheat protectors
You will need to reset the overheat protectors if
error code 104 or 105 is shown on display.
1. Drain the water tank.
2. Clean the level sensor D with a clean cloth.
See Figure 15.
3. Unscrew the black protective caps
shown in Figure 16: Access to the overheat
protectors.
4. Reset each overheat protector by inserting a
small screwdriver in the hole and pressing the
reset button. If either overheat protector has
been tripped you will hear a click when it is
reset.
5. If the error codes reappear within a few hours
of operation, a service technician should
inspect the machine.

5.1 Cleaning the inside of the
machine
1. Press the STOP button (2) and open the drain
valve to drain the tank (see Figure 17 drain
valve).
2. Cut the power to the machine by turning o the
main power switch.

3. Remove the basket then remove the basket
wheel. (Figure 18 Basket wheel).
4. Grip the handles of the tank grid and lift it out.
See Figure 19 Tank Grid.
5. Clean and rinse the components with water.
6. Rinse out the inside of the wash tank. Only use
water to clean inside the machine. Never use
soap or detergent to clean because they can
cause foaming inside the machine.

7. Clean and rinse the drain sieve (C) in the bottom
of the wash tank. It can be unscrewed to help
with cleaning (see Figure 20: Clean the drain
sieve and the level sensor)
8. Wipe the level sensor (D) (Figure 20 Clean the
drain sieve and the level sensor).
9. Check that all 4 support wheels (E) for the
basket wheel are turning smoothly.
10 Check that the overflow pipe is functioning and
clean if necessary.

11. Rinse the lower part of the door (with the door
fully open) and clean the rubber seal on the
lower part of the door (see arrows Figure 22
Door seal). Wipe the upper part of the door with
a damp cloth.

The outside of the machine must not
be cleaned with a pressure washer.

5.2 Re installing the cleaned components
• Re install the drain sieve if it was removed for cleaning.
• Re install the tank grid
• Re install the basket wheel
5.3 Preparations for storing the machine
• The main power switch must be turned OFF.
• Ensure that the water tank is completely drained and free from grime and debris.
• Any remaining water ought to be soaked up with a sponge or dish cloth.
• Leave the door open so that air can circulate in the machine.
• After a longer period of non-use, perform a function test in accordance with the service manual,
with the aid of an authorized service technician if necessary.

6 Changing the water and service
Solo Rescue® has an integrated function that
informs the user when service is due. This helps
users avoid downtime and maintain the lowest
possible operating costs.
6.1 Changing the water
In order to ensure optimal cleaning results, the
water in the machine ought to be drained after
about every 10-15 cycles, and at least once a week.
Once the machine is drained, it ought to be cleaned
thoroughly in accordance with the instructions in
chapter 5. Regular cleaning.
6.2 Annual service
The STOP button (2) flashes. This indicates the
need for service. This indicator can only be reset by
an authorized service technician once the machine
has been serviced. The service indicator appears
after 10,000 program cycles, or every 20 months.
