Instructions for the MON16AHD
Our MON16AHD is a hybrid AHD 7 inch monitor. The screen has been ed with an upgrad-
ed IPS panel with a higher number of pixels than the standard CVBS model.
The monitor will take BOTH the tradional CVBS cameras, as well as the new AHD technolo-
gy cameras. It is worth nong that a few NTSC format CVBS cameras can display strangely
on AHD monitors. In an ideal world we recommend using AHD cameras on AHD monitors,
and CVBS cameras on CVBS monitors.

Connecng the monitor to wiring harness
Please be careful when inserng the
connecon from the monitor to the
wiring harness. We get about 2 or 3
people a year phone us up for a re-
placement wiring harness as they
bent the pins aer not nocing the
arrows that need to be lined up be-
fore pushing together.

This monitor has touch sensive buons, as
opposed to physical push in buons. We nd
these are really responsive and easy to use.
Here is a quick guide below to what each of
the buons do.
- = Down
+ = Up
MEN = Menu/Enter
CAM = Change Channel
MOD = Mode (various picture sengs)
POW = Power On/O
How to operate the menu system
The menu system is one of the simpler ones to operate, to enter the menu simply
press the buon labelled MEN. To scroll though the sengs simply epeatedly
press the MEN buon unl you reach the seng you wish to modify. Once you
are on the seng you wish to change, use the + or -- buons to toggle between
the sengs.

Various Sengs Guide (In order)
Brightness - This seng will modify how bright the image is displayed.
Contrast - This seng will modify how much contrast the image displays
Color - This seng will modify how much colour is displayed in the image
Language - This seng will change the language that is used in the menu system (be care-
ful with this one)
Default Seng - This reverts the image sengs back to default (this won’t aect lan-
guage/rotaon etc.
Volume - Most cameras don’t have a microphone, but if you do t a camera with a micro-
phone then you can choose what volume this is played back by the monitor using this seng
RLUD - 2 = Normal (no alteraon), 3 = will ip the image upside down and add a mirror
image, 4 = will just ip the image upside down, 1 = Horizontal ip this will mirror the image
(this is the opon should you wish to convert one of the cameras to a normal view ie let the
monitor cancel the cameras mirror image out by adding another mirror. YOU CAN SET EACH
CHANNEL INDIVIDUALLY FOR ROTATION, SIMPLY ENSURE YOU ARE ON THE CHANNEL YOU
WANT TO MODIFY WHILST IN THE MENU.
VCOM - We are currently not sure of this funcon, but recommend not adjusng it
Ruler Seng - Turning this ON will mean guidelines are displayed on channel 2 when the
green trigger wire has power input
Guidelines / Ruler Seng
If you have turned the ruler seng ON, and connected the green wire to a reverse power
supply, then everyme you reverse you should see lines. To adjust these simply select re-
verse, whilst the lines are visible, use the + and - key to adjust the vercal posion. Sadly no
width adjustment can be made. See photos below for max and min adjustment heights.

Standard Mount Fing
When using the standard mount, there is only one posion you
can secure the monitor. See the photo to the right to see the
indentaon made to allow for the length of the bolt to secure to
the square washer.
If you posion the bolt in to the wrong part of the channel then
the monitor won’t ghten suciently and could damage the plas-
c back of the monitor.

Our other brackets allow more adjustment and don’t require lining
up to this indentaon.
