INTRODUCTION

When opening the packaging box, turn the box on its side and gradually
pull out the contents. (If you anticipate having difculty with this step,
please DO NOT ATTEMPT to unpack - to prevent potential injury to
yourself & potential damage to the product - and seek assistance.)
The Roamer comes with the following items in the packaging box.

IMPORTANT: Your Roamer comes folded and mostly pre-assembled. Please read, comprehend,
and follow ALL warnings and instructions below PRIOR to operating your Roamer.
WARNINGS:
If you observe damage to any part of the product after unpacking,
please DO NOT ATTEMPT to assemble it and contact customer
support for further instructions.
Assembly MUST be conducted by an adult, who is able to
demonstrate the physical and mental faculties required to understand
the instructions and execute proper assembly.
DO NOT ALLOW children or persons with limited physical and/or
mental faculties to conduct assembly, as there may be small or heavy
parts, sharp edges / sharp points, packaging material, and other
items that can present as hazardous.
Ensure proper disposal (and/or recycling, per local laws) of all
interior packaging material, so that they are OUT OF REACH from
children, pets, and any persons with limited physical/mental faculties.
It is recommended that you KEEP the original packaging box, in the
event that the product needs to be stored away.

Step one: Unfolding the Roamer
If this step is not completed prior to operating the Roamer, you risk
potential injury from unsafe usage.
Ensure the Roamer is upright and resting both its stability feet on a at, even, and
dry indoor oor surface. Ensure there is ample room for unfolding the Roamer.
Grasp the push handle rmly with one hand.

At the same time, use the other hand to hold the edge of the seat cushion and push
down.

Ensure the Roamer is FULLY unfolded. The seat should be pushed all the way down,
and the seat-back should be perpendicular to the seat at a 90 degree angle.

Sit on the seat until your back is fully against the seat-back.5)
IMPORTANT = Lean back and apply pressure to lock in the folding latch.6)
Ensure your feet are safely out of the way of the front caster wheels
(as they come down towards the ground).

Step two: Connect the controller cable to the power cable
Locate the power cable (attached by velcro strap to the right-side armrest). Push
back the cable head’s rubber safety cover.

Ensure the power cable has no damage or exposed wiring.
Using the arrow indicators on each cable, line up the controller cable’s inner prongs
with the power cable’s inner socket. Firmly push until the two cables are FULLY
connected.
4)
If the controller cable’s inner prongs are not properly aligned with the power
cable’s inner socket, forcing the connection may result in damage to both.
Lock the connection in place by spinning the metal locking ring clockwise until it is
fully tightened.
5)
Ensure that your hands are completely DRY.
Locate the controller.
Ensure the controller cable attached to it has no damage or exposed wiring.

Step three: Connecting the power cable to the battery box
If the power cable’s head is not properly aligned with the battery
box’s port, forcing the connection may result in damage to both.
Ensure the power cable has no damage or exposed wiring.
Locate the other (unconnected) end of the power cable beneath the seat.
Locate the pre-installed battery box beneath the seat. (The battery box is black with
a warning label on top and a handle on the front.)

On the back of the battery box is a connection port. Align the power cable’s head
with the battery box’s connection port. Firmly push until they are FULLY connected.
3)
Lock the connection in place by spinning the metal locking ring clockwise until it is
fully tightened.

Pull the power cable’s rubber safety cover over the connection.6)
Push the controller cable’s rubber safety cover until it touches the other safety cover.7)

Step four: Installing the controller
Follow these instructions if you intend to operate the Roamer with your RIGHT hand.
Identify the installation point (open hole) in front of the right-side armrest.

Ensure the controller installation knob (located beneath the armrest) is partially
loosened. (Turn clockwise to loosen, if needed.)
3)
Install the controller (with the joystick and control buttons facing upward) by sliding
the metal tube into the installation point, all the way to the end.
4)
Secure the controller into the armrest by continuously turning the controller
installation knob counterclockwise until it is fully tightened.
5)
Do NOT yank or pull the controller in such a way that its connection to the
power cable may become damaged, loosened, or otherwise compromised.
Instructions for installing the controller in the right-side armrest:

Step four: Installing the controller (cont.)
Follow these instructions if you intend to operate the Roamer with your LEFT hand.
Identify the left-side armrest cap, and remove it to reveal the installation point. (Then
install the cap onto the installation point of the right-side armrest, to prevent dust or
debris from going inside.)

Ensure the controller installation knob (located beneath the left-side armrest) is
partially loosened. (Turn clockwise to loosen.)
3)
Undo the velcro strap that attaches the power cable to the right-side armrest.4)
Move the power cable behind the seat until it reaches the left-side armrest. (Ensure
that the power cable is NOT in the way of sitting down, or in the way of any parts
that may move while the Roamer is in motion. Otherwise, there’s risk of damage to
the power cable.)
5)
Install the controller (with the joystick and control buttons facing upward) by sliding
the metal tube into the installation point, all the way to the end.
6)
Secure the controller by continuously turning the controller installation knob to the
right until it is fully tightened.

WARNINGS FOR BATTERY PACK & CHARGER:
If you are not certain that you are capable of fully understanding and following all warnings and
instructions below, please do not attempt to operate the product and seek assistance.
But wait! BEFORE you begin operating your Roamer, please read and comprehend
ALL warnings and instructions outlined hereafter.
If there is evidence of DAMAGE, BREAKAGE, OR LEAKAGE on either the battery box or
charger, DO NOT USE OR ATTEMPT TO FIX and contact customer support immediately.
TO AVOID FIRE OR EXPLOSION, DO NOT PLACE OR LEAVE battery pack or charger near
any heat or water sources (such as generators, gas / electric heaters, water boilers, large
appliances, lit cigarettes), or anything labeled ammable, explosive, caustic, or volatile
(such as gasoline, kerosene, propane).
TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK OR POISONING, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN the battery
pack. It is sealed for your safety, as there are two lead-acid batteries housed inside the
battery pack. Attempting to open it will also void your warranty.
TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK OR FIRE, DO NOT TOUCH the battery pack or charger with
wet hands or uninsulated metal.
TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT submerge, soak, or wash the battery pack or
charger. THESE ACTIONS MAY CAUSE SHORT CIRCUITING OR PERMANENT DAMAGE.

The product has a built-in overcurrent protection system, which will trigger an AUTOMATIC
SHUT-DOWN of the battery and motor if the current exceeds the programmed limit. This
helps to protect the components from potential damage.

If you observe any damage, bulging, or wire exposure on the charger or charging cable,
DO NOT USE them and contact customer support.
Ensure that your hands are completely DRY.
To charge the product:

First ensure the product is powered OFF. (If controller lights are on, press the power
button on the controller to turn the product off.)
Locate the charger and charging cable.

Locate either of two charging port options:

Choose this option if you are able to charge next to your Roamer.•
Plug the metal end of the charger into the charging port beneath

Choose this option if you are not able to charge near the Roamer,
and must remove the battery box (located beneath the seat) in
order to charge it.

How to safely remove the battery box for charging:•
Rotate the charging port cover on top of the battery box, until the
charging port is fully visible.
•
Plug the metal end of the charger into the charging port.•
First DISCONNECT the power cable from the back of the
battery box.
Return to the front of the Roamer and rmly grasp the handle
on the front of the battery box.
Pull on the handle to remove the battery box from the frame
bracket.
If you observe any damage or bulging on the battery
box, DO NOT CHARGE it and contact customer support

Charge the battery pack to 100% PRIOR to rst use of the product.
Charge the battery pack immediately after each use of the product.
How to determine charging progress:

Each full battery charging cycle (from 0% to 100%) will take aproximately
6 – 8 hours.
While the battery pack is charging, the orange charger light will remain on.

When the battery pack is fully charged (100%), the green charger light
will turn on.

Then plug the two-pronged end of the charging cable into an appropriate &
functional electrical wall outlet.

To prevent re risk and suboptimal charging, DO NOT plug the charging
cable into an extension cord or any other indirect power sources.
The LED light should turn on after the charger is
plugged into the electrical wall outlet.
(If not, check that the two-pronged end of the charging
cable is fully inserted into the wall outlet. Also check
that the wall outlet is functioning properly.)
ORANGE light = Charging is in progress
GREEN light = Charging is complete (battery at 100%)
Please leave it charging for about 12 hours (even when the charger light
turns green prior), to ensure optimal battery performance going forward.
All future charging cycles will take up to 8 hours each, until the battery
has reached end of life (approximately after 500 charging cycles,
depending on frequency of use, speed levels, environmental conditions,
proper charging maintenance, etc).

CHARGING SAFETY WARNINGS:
Always charge the product in a SAFE, DRY, AND ENCLOSED location.
DO NOT leave children, pets, or persons with limited physical/mental capacities
unsupervised near the product while it’s charging.
DO NOT STORE OR CHARGE the product in any place that is exposed to the outdoors or
potentially adverse environmental elements.
DO NOT STORE OR CHARGE the product in an environment that is below 32°F/0°C or
above 113°F/45°C.
To keep the battery in optimal condition, DO NOT LEAVE THE PRODUCT OR BATTERY
PACK CHARGING for over 12 hours per charging cycle.
