URE TO DO SO CAN CAUSE ELECTRICAL SHOCK
RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJUR OR DEATH. TAG DIS-
CONNECT WITH A SUITABLE WARNING LABEL.
1. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
A. Remove access panel to control box.
B. Refer to control box drawing for mounting location of the
relay control (Figure 1A Rectangles, Figure 1B Cubes).
2. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
A. lease refer to the unit diagram and to Figure 2 for making
the electrical connections.
B. Locate contactor coil terminals on contactor in unit control
box.
C. Remove the two wire connections (yellow and brown) from
the wire low voltage contactor coil and place the new wires
from the kit (yellow and brown with 3/8” terminals) to the
contactor then place the original wires to the piggyback of
the new wire.
D. Connect the other ends of the new wire to the coil side of
the relay.
E. Remove Y. wire from DCF T-Stat side and place new yel-
low wire from kit with two piggybacks in its place. Then put
the original wire on the piggyback wire. Connect other end
to the com terminal of the relay.
F. Connect white/red wire to the normal closed side of the
relay. Run the rest of the wire with the thermostat wire to “L”
terminal of the thermostat.
G. Replace access panel.
H. Restore power to the unit and check for operation.
NOTE: Warning light on thermostat will come on during a 5 minute
compressor time delay, and for 5 seconds during defrost while the
compressor is off. Homeowner should only be concerned if light
stays on for more than 5 minutes.
