AMPC KIT INSTALL
GUIDE
WARNING!
For the safety and protection of you and others, only a trained mechanic having adequate
experience must perform the installation, adjustment, and repair. It is particularly important
to remember one of the very basic principles of safety: fuel vapors are heavier than air and
tend to collect in low places where an explosive fuel/air mixture may be ignited by any spark
or flame resulting in property damage, personal injury, and/or death. Extreme caution must
be exercised to prevent spillage and thus eliminate the formation of such fuel vapors.
WARNING!
For the safety and protection of you and others, use safe jacking and lift practices to get the
vehicle in the air. We provide an example but are not responsible for any personal injury,
including death, and/or property damage due to poor jacking and lifting safety.

GUIDE
TOOLS
You will need a drill, t-15, 7mm, 10mm, 13mm, 19mm sockets, ratchet, torque wrench, jack stands and a
jack. The drill bit needed for the tank is not supplied in the kit, please order the tap kit on our site or
source a 7/8" & R drill bit and a 1/8 NPT tap.
PREREQUISITES
THE BATTERY MUST BE DISCONNECTED DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS. This installation must be
performed on a cool car in a well-ventilated area with no open flames or ignition sources. See warnings
for more.
INSTALLATION
STEP 1: JACKING
We recommend using a lift for the installation of our kit but if you do not have access to a lift,
we have provided instructions on how to safely get the car in the air. Start by chalking the front
wheels to prevent the car from rolling. Put the jack pad on the subframe member and jack the
car high enough to fit jack stands under the car. Place the jack stands on either side’s jack pucks.
STEP 2: REMOVING THE WHEEL
With an air impact or electric impact and a 19mm socket (Stock Lugs), remove the lug nuts and
carefully remove the wheel and tire and set it to the side. If you do not have a strong enough
impact, drop the car back down and break the lugs using a breaker bar. Jack the car back up and
set the jack stands like in the above section before continuing to remove the lugs with a ratchet
and socket.

GUIDE
Grab a T-15, 10mm and 7mm socket and a ratchet or small impact. Remove the 7mm and 10mm
bolts circled red in figure 1, note the arrow is pointing at a hidden 10mm. Pull off the splash
guard that is held in by clips in figure 2. Next, remove the T-15’s in the wheel well circled in
figure 3. Put these screws and bolts in a cup or other safe place to prevent them from being lost.
Once all bolts are removed, grab the side of the wheelwell liner and pull it towards the rotor.
You should now see the exposed windshield wiper fluid tank.

STEP 4: DRILLING THE HOLE
Reference the bottom of the tank in figure 4. Using a 7/8" drill bit or tapered bit, drill a hole
where the circle is in figure 4. If you are using an electric drill, please use caution while drilling.
Make sure to have a pan or bucket to catch fluid once the hole is drilled. After all the excess has
drained out, push in the self-sealing tank tap with the metal grate going inside the tank. Unplug
the windshield wiper fluid pump harness. The pump is on the side of the tank.

AMPC KIT INSTALL
GUIDE
Route the pump power leads, and the controller power leads from the harness provided
through the hole circled in figure 5. A razor may be required to cut the grommet open enough
for the harness. Use a hanger or fish tape to fish the harness through to the windshield wiper
fluid tank’s location as seen in figure 6. Run the controller positive wire through the back of the
engine bay, being careful to avoid the exhaust or any excessive heat exposure. Use zip ties to
secure. Remove the positive power bolt from the fuse box and add the controller harness
positive the stud, tighten the bolt being careful not to apply too much force. On the inside of the
driver’s side footwell, plug in the OBDII intercept cable and controller DT-12 connector. Hide the
controller in the footwell panel on the side using zip ties.

AMPC KIT INSTALL
GUIDE
Using a self-tapping screw, mount the ground from the harness to the circled area in figure 7.
Using two-four self-tapping screws, mount the pump with the head facing DOWN. Mounting it
incorrectly can reduce the life span of the pump. Use discretion on the pump mounting location
but it is recommended to be mounted above the grounding location where the pump head sits
across from the ground. See figure 8 for suggested pump mounting location. Take the nylon line
supplied and measure it out from the self-sealing tank tap to the pump. Leave an extra ¼ inch on
each side for the push to connect fittings. Cut the line and push each end into the pump and
tank tap.

13
AMPC KIT INSTALL
GUIDE
With the remaining nylon line, measure the route from the pump outlet to the engine bay area
circled in figure 9. Leave an extra ¼ inch on each side for the push to connect fittings. Cut the
line and push each end into the pump and filter assembly. Secure line to the hood release cable
with a zip tie right before the filter assembly to hold filter assembly in place. In figure 10, the red
arrow references where to drill the hole for the nozzle(s). If using an aftermarket IAT sensor with
MAF breakout, reference the blue arrows. Remember the nozzle should be 6-8 inches before
the throttle plate and after the MAF sensor if your charge pipe does not look like the one
referenced here. Do not mount the nozzle(s) on the bottom of the charge pipe. Using an R drill
bit, drill the hole for the nozzle(s), then tap them with a 1/8 NPT tap. Make sure to not run the
tap all the way through the hole. Only run the tap 1/32 of an inch past the inner wall of the
charge pipe to avoid tapering the threads too much. Screw the nozzle into the newly tapped
hole. If you have a dual nozzle kit, without mounting the second nozzle to the bottom of the
charge pipe, roughly 90 degrees from the first nozzle, drill and tap another hole for the second
nozzle. Using the remaining nylon line measure & cut from the filter to the nozzle. If you have a
dual nozzle kit, cut two 6-inch sections of nylon line making sure to measuring the nylon line to
the T-fitting. Then measure and cut line from the T-fitting to the filter. Leave an extra ¼ inch on

GUIDE
each side for the push to connect fittings. Push the line into the filter and the other side of the
nozzle or T-fitting if you have the dual nozzle kit.
STEP 8: TEST & REASSEMBLY
The kit is fully installed, and it is now time to test the kit. Connect the vehicle’s battery and
disconnect the nylon line from the back of the nozzle being careful not to apply too much force.
Fill the windshield wiper fluid tank with a half-gallon of water and put the car into accessory
mode by pressing and holding the start button for 10 seconds with the brake or clutch NOT
depressed. Once you see the gauges come on, open your phone, and connect to the controller’s
WIFI network. The default password is “password”. Open your web browser. Navigate to
192.168.4.2. Once the page has loaded, click on the config tab, and find the controls block.
There you will see two buttons to turn the pump on or off manually. Turn the pump on and
inspect the fittings for leaks, check the output of the filter for sufficient flow rate. Drain the
water by running the pump until the flow rate drops. Do not run the pump dry for too long.
Only run the pump for a minute or two at a time as this will drain the battery if left running. If
the test passes, turn off the pump and the car and proceed through steps 3 and 2 to put the
wheelwell back together. NOTE: If your vehicle has been sitting for a long time, your battery
voltage may be too low, and the controller will refuse to turn on the pump manually or turn on
its Wi-Fi. We suggest using a battery tender during this process if your vehicle has been sitting.
