containsin-formationconcerningthe
warranty.
Youmustensurethatwarrantyanddelivery
filesareproperlycompleted.Keepyourvehi-
cleinperfectconditionandgetmaximumpro-
tectionunderwarrantybyensuringthatyour
vehiclereceivesregularcareinaccordance
withtheRIEJUrecommendations.
Warranty Period
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedate
ofregistrationofthevehicleor,ifthevehicle
remainswithoutregistering,fromthedateof
sale.
Thesellerisresponsiblefornonconformi-
tiesthatbecomeapparentwithintherequire-
mentsofLaw23/2003July10ofGuarantees
SalesofConsumerGoodsandwithDirective
1999/44/ECforMemberStatesoftheEuro-
peanCommunity.Forcountriesoutsidethe
EuropeanCommunity,thewarrantyperiod
shallbegovernedbytheregulationsthereof.
However,ifthenonconformitybecomes
apparentduringthefirstsixmonthsafterthe
saleofthevehicle,itisassumedthatthefault
existedwhenthevehiclewasdelivered;from
thesixthmonth,theconsumermustprove
thatthenonconformityexistedwhenthevehi-
clewasdelivered.Duringthefirstsixmonths
afterthedeliveryoftherepairedvehicle,the
sellerisliableagainstforthenonconformity
whichledtherepair.
Anydefectsdetectedintheproductmust
bebroughttotheattentionofanauthorized
RIEJUdealerduringthewarrantyperiod.If
thelastdayofthewarrantyperiodisaSun-
dayorpublicholiday,thewarrantyperiodwill
beextendeduntilthenextbusinessday.
Buyer obligations
TGisentitledtodenyanywarrantyif:
1. Thebuyerhasfailedtosubmitthevehicle
toanyoftheinspectionsand/orservicework
requiredintheuser'smanualand/orexceed-
edthedatesetforsuchinspectionsorservice
work.Italsobeexcludedfromthewarranty
anynonconformitythatappearedbeforethe
datesetforaninspectionorservicework
andthisinspectionorserviceworkwasnot
carriedoutoritwascarriedoutafterthedate
setbyRIEJU.
2. Whenaninspection,serviceworkand/
orrepairofthevehiclehavebeenexecuted
bythirdpartiesnotrecognizedbyRIEJU.
3. Anyserviceworkand/orrepairhas
beenexecutedinviolationofthetechnical
requirements,specificationsandinstructions
ofthemanufacturer.
4. SparepartsnotauthorizedbyRIEJU

beenusedinserviceworksand/orrepairs
orwhenfuels,lubricantsandotherliquids
(includingcleaningproducts)thatwerenotex-
presslymentionedbythemanufacturerhave
beenusedinthevehicle.
5.Thevehiclehasbeeninanywayaltered,
modifiedorfittedwithcomponentsthatnot
havebeenspecificallyauthorizedbyTG.
6.Thevehiclehasbeenstoredortrans-
portednotinagreementwiththetechnical
requirements.
7.Thevehiclehasbeenusedforaspecial
useotherthantheordinaryone,likeraces.
8.Thevehiclehassufferedanaccident.
Warranty Exclusions
Thefollowingitemsareexcludedfromthe
warranty:
1.Wearpartsincluding,withoutlimitation,
sparkplugs,batteries,fuelfilters,airfilter
elements,chain,engineoutputpinions,
sprockets,airfilters,brakediscsordrums,
padsorbrakeshoes,clutchdiscs,bulbs,fus-
es,footrestrubbers,tyres,tubes,cablesand
otherrubbercomponents.
2.Lubricants(suchasoil,grease,...)and
workingfluids(batteryliquid,coolant...).
3.Inspection,adjustmentandothermainte-
nanceaswellasallkindofcleaningjobs.
4.Paintdamageandconsequentcorro-
sionduetoexternalfactors(suchasstones,
salt,exhaustgasesandotherenvironmental
impacts),impropercleaningorunsuitable
productinfluences.
5.Damagecausedbynonconformities
anddirectlyorindirectlyexpenses(commu-
nicationcosts,accommodationexpenses,
carhirecosts,publictransportcosts,courier
costs...)andotherdamages(causedbythe
lossofuseofavehicle,lossofrevenue,loss
oftime...).
6.Acousticoraestheticphenomenathatdo
notsignificantlyaffecttheuseofthevehicle
(forexample,smallorhiddenimperfections,
noiseorvibrations).
7.Nonconformitiesduetoageofthevehicle
(forexample,discolouringofpainting).
Notes
1.Iftherepairofthenonconformityor
replacementoftheaffectedpartisoutofpro-
portion,TGcandecideinitssolediscretion
whethertorepairortoreplacedefectiveparts.
2.Theownershipofthereplacedpartsshall
pass to RIEJU without any other
consideration.TheauthorizedRIEJUdealer
entrusted to repair the vehicle is not
authorized to do binding declarations on
behalfofRIEJU.
3.Incaseofdoubtregardingtheexistence
ofadefectorifainspectionisrequired,
RIEJUreservestherighttorequestthereturn
oftheaffectedpartsortoarrangean
inspectionofthedefectbyanRIEJUexpert.
Anyadditionalwarrantyobligationsforparts
replacedfreeofchargeorforanyservice
providedwithoutchargeunderthiswarranty
shallbeexcluded.Warrantyofthereplaced
partsunderwarran-
typeriodwillendonthedateofexpiryofthe
warrantyperiodoftheproductconcerned.
4. Ifadefectcannotberepairedandthe
replacinghasadisproportionatecosttothe
manufacturer,buyerwillbeentitledtocancel
thecontract(compensationpayment)ora
partialrefundofthepurchaseprice(discount)
insteadofrepairingthevehicle.
5. Warrantyclaimsbythepurchaserunder
thecontractofsalewiththecorresponding
authorizedBYEBIKEdealershallnotbe
affectedbythiswarranty.Thiswarrantydoes
notaffectanyadditionalcontractualrightsof
thepurchaserunderthegeneralconditionsof
theauthorizedBYEBIKEdealer.
6. Ifthepurchaserresellstheproductwithin
thewarrantyperiod,thetermsandconditions
ofthiswarrantywillbetransferredtothenew
ownerofthevehicle.

1.1 Responsibility
Asthevehicle’sowner,youarerespon-
sibleforthesafeandproperoperationof
yourvehicle.Youshouldobtainthorough
instructionsfromacompetentsourceonall
aspectsofvehicleoperation,observethe
warningsandmaintenancerequirementsin
thisowner’smanual,obtainqualifiedtrain-
inginsafeandproperridingtechniques,
obtainprofessionaltechnicalserviceas
indicatedinthisowner’smanualanduse
onlyoriginalsparepartsandaccessories
fromthemanufacturer.
1.2. Practice
Evenifyouhaveriddenothermotorbikes,
practiceridinginasafeplacetobecome
familiarwithhowthisvehicleworksand
handles,andtobecomeaccustomedtothe
vehicle'ssizeandweight.Donotrideifyou
arenotqualifiedandonlylendyourvehicle
tootherqualifiedriders.
1.3. Before riding
Makesurethatyouarephysicallyfit,
mentallyfocusedandfreeofalcoholand
drugs.Checkthatyouandyourpassenger
arebothwearinganapprovedmotorcycle
helmetandprotectiveapparel.Wearaface
shieldorglasses.Neverwearloose-fitting
clothes,otherwisetheycouldcatchonthe
controlleversorwheelsandcauseinjuryor
anaccident.Makeyourselfmorevisibleby
wearingreflectiveorbrightclothes.
WARNING
Always wear an approved helmet and
protective apparel when riding your
vehicle.
1.4. Loading
Carryingextraweightaffectsyourvehicle
handling,brakingandstability.
CAUTION
Maximum weight capacity (including
driver, passenger, accessories and
cargo) is 150 kg. Do not exceed this
maximum load limit.

Avoidcarryinganexcessiveload.Tie
allluggagesecurely,balancedandclose
tothecentreofthevehicle.Donotattach
itemsnearthelightsorthehotpartsofthe
vehicle.
1.5. Carbon monoxide
Allengineexhaustgeneratecarbonmon-
oxide,acolourless,odourlessandtasteless
poisonousgas.Breathingcarbonmonoxide
cancauseheadaches,dizziness,drows-
iness,nausea,confusion,andeventually
death.
WARNING
Carbon monoxide is toxic.
Do not run engine indoors.
Donotrunengineinpoorlyventilatedor
partiallyenclosedareas,carbonmonoxide
canrapidlyreachdangerouslevels.
1.6. Maintenance
Maintenanceistheownersresponsibil-
ity.Allmaintenanceoperationsmustbe
doneinordertokeepthevehicleingood
condition.
Serviceworkshouldbeperformedin
accordancewithRIEJU
standardsandspecificationsbyproperly
trainedand

equippedtechnicians.Yourauthorised
dealermeetsalloftheserequirementsand
canextendtothemaximumyourvehicle's
servicelife.
1.7. After-market parts, ac-
cessories and modifications
Addingaccessoriesorcargotoyour
vehiclecanadverselyaffectstabilityand
handling.Westronglyadvisethatyoudo
notaddanyaccessoriesthatwerenotspe-
cificallydesignedforyourvehiclebyRIEJU
ormakemodificationstoyourscooterfrom
itsoriginaldesign.Doingsocanmakeit
unsafe.Modifyingyourvehiclemayalso
voidyourwarrantyandmakeyourvehicle
illegaltooperateonpublicroads.Before
decidingtoinstallaccessoriesonyourve-
hiclebecertainthemodificationissafeand
legal.Donotpullatrailerwith,orattacha
sidecarto,yourvehicle.Yourvehiclewas
notdesignedfortheseattachments,and
theirusecanseriouslyimpairyourvehicle's
handling.
CAUTION
Always use RIEJU genuine parts.

Followtheseadviceswhenridingyour
RIEJUvehicle:
• Starttheengineandletitwarmup.
• Beforestartdrivingcheckthatyoucan
beincorporatedintotheflowwithease.
• Ridewhereothermotoristscansee
youandalwayssignalbeforeturningor
changinglanes.
• Alwaysobeythespeedlimitandnever
travelfasterthanwarrantedbyroadand
trafficconditions.
• Drivermusttakeanaturalposture,
feetinstirrupsandbothhandsonthe
handlebars.Passenger(ifthevehicle
isapprovedfortwo)shouldbesecured
withbothhandsonthehandle(ifavail-
able)oronthedriver'sbodyandfeet
restinginstirrups.
• Forfullbrakeeffectivenessclosethe
throttleandoperateboththefrontand
rearbrakestogether.
Roadsurfacesareslipperywhenwet.
Avoidhardbreakingandacceleration
andexerciseextracautionwhenriding
inwetconditions.
Becarefulwhenpassingparkedcars.
