activation.
9
With Health air flow function on, horizontal deflector posi-
tion cannot be changed.
9
When room humidity is high, condensate might form on the
deflector during operation in Cooling and Dehumidification
mode. In this scenario, if deflector is kept in vertical position
for a long time , condensate could drip onto the objects
below.
9
Do not set under the equipment any objects susceptible to
get damaged in contact with water.
Anti-freeze function
In case of long periods away during winter time, the Anti-freeze
function maintains the room at a temperature sufficient to avoid
freezing (not available on AMW ST).
The Anti-freeze function can be turned on in the following
modes:
—Heating
• Activation
—press

tion. If Automatic switch-off is active, the unit turns off even
though the Night function is still active.
Selecting the temperature measurement unit
If required, it is possible to change the temperature measure-
ment unit.
The available units are:
—Celsius °C
—Fahrenheit °F
Select required unit as follows:
—work
—Each press will select a different unit, toggling between °C
and °F.
Setting the transmission code
If two indoor units are installed close to one another and user
wishes to control them separately, two different transmission
channels can be set.
For communication to succeed, the selected communication
channel on indoor unit and remote control must be the same.
Available transmission channels are:
Factory set channel is A.
Select required channel as follows:
—work
Each press will select a different channel, toggling between A
and B.
9
The unit will not operate if the transmission channel settings
in indoor unit and remote control are not the same.
9
To change transmission channel on indoor unit, contact the
Technical Support Service.
Button locking
Prevent any accidental control by locking remote control but-
tons.

Emergency switch
The emergency switch allows equipment switch-on and off in
an emergency (faulty remote control, flat batteries).
Switch-on occurs with preset settings according to detected
ambient temperature:
Ambient temperature above 24 °C
—Cooling mode
—Temperature setting 24 °C
—Ventilation speed Auto
—Hourly programming off
Ambient temperature below 24 °C
—Heating Mode
—Temperature setting 24 °C
—Ventilation speed Auto
—Hourly programming off
9
Presets cannot be changed.

In order to shut down the unit for periods of brief absences:
press
The unit display turns off.
The horizontal motorised deflector closes.
9
Settings are saved by the remote control and are activated
any time user presses .
9
Turn unit off exclusively through the remote control.
2.7
Stop for an extended period of time
If the device has not been used for an extended period of time,
carry out the following operations:
—start the device in ventilation mode
—select the maximum speed
—let the device run for 6 hours
—deactivate the device with the remote control
ON
OFF
—set the system main switch to “OFF”
2.8
Maintenance
Routine maintenance is fundamental for keeping the equip-
ment efficient, safe and reliable. It can be performed periodi-
cally by RTechnical Support Service, whose staff is technical-
ly qualified and can use genuine spare parts, if necessary.
2.9
Cleaning
The only cleaning operations required of the user concern the
remote control, the housing, the front grille, the mesh filters and
changing the purification filters.
9
All described operations MUST be carried out under the fol-
lowing conditions:
—cold device
—device NOT supplied with electric power
—suitable personal protection equipment
ON
OFF
0 It is forbidden to open the access doors and carry out any
cleaning operation before disconnecting the device from the
power supply positioning the system main switch to "OFF".
Cleaning the remote control
—clean with a soft and dry cloth
Cleaning the housing and front panel
—wet a sponge or soft cloth with water and soap to wash
—once cleaning is over dry surfaces with care
9
Do not use water at a temperature that is higher than 40°C,
powder or abrasive detergents, solvents and brushes.
Mesh filter cleaning
Cleaning the mesh filters ensures trouble-free operation of the
climate control system.

USE
19
1 Mesh filters
1
—open the front panel
—take out the mesh filter by grabbing the relevant fins
—remove exhausted purifying filters if present
—remove dust with an vacuum cleaner
9
If there is a considerable amount of dust, wash it with luke-
warm water (max 40°C) and a neutral detergent, carefully
rinse it off and let it dry in the shadow.
9
Exposing the filters to the sun or washing them with water
at a temperature that is higher than 40°C can cause the fil-
ters to shrink.
0 It is forbidden to use the device without mesh filter.
Purifying filter replacement
Cleaning purification filters, if any, ensures trouble-free opera-
tion of the climate control system and air quality.
To replace the filters:
1 Mesh filters
1
—open the front panel
—take out the mesh filter by grabbing the relevant fins
1 Mesh filters
2 Air purifying filter
2
1
—remove exhausted purifying filters
—insert new purifying filters into the prearranged slots
—to reposition them, proceed in reverse order
9
Keep the purifying filters sealed until their actual use.
9
Installing the purifying filters reduces the air flow and re-
sults in lower performance. It is advised to use the device at
the highest speeds.

Troubleshooting
Power failure
If unit display does not turn on after you press on
remote control, and equipment does not turn on, ensure that:
—equipment power plug, if any, is properly plugged
—system main switch is set to “ON”
—remote control batteries are well charged
9
If necessary, contact RTechnical Support Service.
The climate control system does not sufficiently cool down or
warm up the air
Check that:
—the mesh filter is clean
—the purification filters, if installed, are clean
—doors or windows leading outdoors are closed
—outdoor unit air flow is free from obstructions
—set temperature is the one actually required
—the transmission channel set via button is A. If
transmission is not successful, try changing channel to b
9
If necessary, contact RTechnical Support Service.
Faults on unit display
Malfunction warnings are indicated with a code on indoor unit
display. Their triggering causes equipment shutdown in safety
conditions and prevents further operation.
To restore operating conditions:
—set the main switch to “Off”
—allow 10 minutes
—set main switch back to “ON”
—press on remote control
If the climate control system resumes normal operation, it means
that shutdown was due to an erratic condition.
If the fault occurs again, an accurate check of the device compo-
nents is required. Contact RTechnical Support Service.
