The Ring Rescue
Compression Device is a
non-destructive solution for
the removal of stuck rings.
The device temporarily shrinks nger size to allow
the professional to manipulate the ring off intact.
This device is most effective in cases where the ring
has been stuck for 5 days or less.

Step 1: Getting Started Step 2: Compressing The Finger

Provider put on gloves.
Place the nger cuff on nger,
close to but not over the ring.
Ensure you are compressing
the nger, not the ring.
Push ring as close to
the base of the nger
as possible.
To inate cuff, turn the valve counter-
clockwise and squeeze bulb until the
dial has made one full rotation and is
back in the light blue “target” zone.
Have the patient elevate their hand and
leave the device on the nger for one
5 minute round of compression.
Once the 5 minutes is complete, turn the valve
counterclockwise to deate and remove the
cuff from the nger. If after the rst round of
compression the nger is still very swollen, steps
3-6 can be repeated 2-3 times before attempting
removal to give you the best chance of non-
destructive removal.

Step 4: Expert Tips
- You can complete up to four 5 minute rounds of
compression to reduce nger size. Although more
compression will not hurt the nger, there is a
diminishing return beyond 4 rounds. It is most
effective to do all rounds of compression before
beginning removal.
- When using multiple rounds of compression, it is
important to deate the device and give it a quarter
turn between rounds to ensure the nger is being
compressed evenly.
After each use, wipe the device clean with 70%
isopropyl alcohol or 0.5% accelerated hydrogen
peroxide wipes and return to case.
Step 3: Removing The Ring

To begin removal, apply 2 sprays
of lubricant and rotate the ring to
distribute the lubricant underneath.
The rst and most effective technique for removal is the
“Corkscrew Technique”. Simply rotate the ring in a corkscrew
motion down the nger. Remember, slow and steady.
The next technique is the “Rocker”. This is where you place
your thumb on the bottom of the ring and two ngers on
the top of the ring and “walk” the ring down the nger.
If you are hung up on bunched skin, you can use counter-
traction with your non-dominant hand to pull back any loose
skin, while continuing to “Rock” the ring down the nger.
