Prepare your device
• Push the latch and open the enclosure.
• Simultaneously press out latches in the enclosure and
extract the device board.
• Put the SIM-card into the SIM slot (XS1). If you need,
connect the Touch Memory reader (XT3), additional
alarm cable (TX2) and external siren (TX4) according to
the Data sheet of Contact GSM-2.
• Put the battery inside, according to the Data sheet of
Contact GSM-2.
• Connect your device to the PC, via MicroUSB cable.

Download the software
• Go to our website www.ritm.ru, in the right top corner
you can choose the english language.
• Then go to “Downloads”.
• Open the “Сommon software for the set-up of all of
Ritm’s devices”, click on the link and download le.
• Then open “A set of drivers for connecting Ritm’s devices
to the common setup software”, click on the link and
download this le as well.

Install the software
Unzip archive Drivers, and Install the downloaded Driver
(Drivers\CP210x_VCP\CP210x_VCPInstaller_x64 or Drivers\
CP210x_VCP\CP210x_VCPInstaller_x32), depending on the
version of your operating system:
• Accept the agreement, click next.
Also, you will need to install driver of virtual com port (from
\Drivers\ST_VCP\VCP_V1.3.1_setup, or \Drivers\ST_VCP\
VCP_V1.3.1_setup_x64), depending on your operating system:
• Same steps: click next, and nish.

Check the connection of the device to your PC
Open the PC manager.
Click on the Device Manager and look at COM ports. Port for
RITM USB is called “Silicon labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge
(COM4)”.
Please remember the number of your com port, it will be
important in the future.

Open the conguration wizard
Run the downloaded conguration program from the le, it will
look like this:
In the right bottom corner you can choose the language.
After that, for the rst time, it may be neccessary to download
the latest version of the software.
Here you can choose your COM port (use the port which you
saw in device manager), leave the “Master code” empty and
click “connect”.

Congure your device
After the sucessful connection you will see this page.
If you have an item “Available update”(red color), you should
click on it. Then click on “start updating”, you will see updating
progress.

Next step, you have to go to Device details, where you can nd
general information about your Contact GSM-2.
Here you can see the GSM signal level and the battery level. If
the level is not good, your device may not function properly.
If you have bad reception conditions of GSM, or SIM card
doesn’t work, you will see, that SIM has “No registration in GSM
network”.
You have to congure your GPRS connection.

Next step you should congure system events. It is very
important in this device.
When you change some settings, you have to click on
“Save changes” before you leave the current page!

Open the “Sensor” section. Here you can congure the main PIR
sensor in your device.
You can also congure the Energy saving in the “Energy saving”
section.

Next step, you should add keyfobs to your device. Click on any
button on the keyfob, and hold it untill you hear the sound
signal from your device. You can see your added keyfobs in the
“Keyfobs” section.

If you use the Touch Memory, you have to add the Touch
Memory keys to your device.
Hold a key and press it to a Touch Memory reader, wait for a
sound signal from the device; your key will be added
automatically.
After that, you can add other keys (up to maximum 8 keys).
You can see your keys in “Touch Memory keys” section.

Now, you should go to “Notication” section and add phone
numbers. The device will send the SMS or call your numbers.
You should congure your GPRS settings, for an automatic time
synchronization.
Go to the “GPRS parameters” section, and ll it according to
your own settings. You can nd them out from your GSM
provider.
You have another way to congure your device without using
PC. You can nd the information about it in the Data sheet
of Contact GSM-2.
