INTRODUCTION
The 10-505 Knee Kicker incorporates a number of new concepts and features to improve reliability and
performance. This is the first knee kicker to incorporate a gel infused bumper pad to reduce impact shock
while still transferring maximum energy to the head pins. Additionally, the angle of the pad now conforms
to the natural angle of your knee to increase comfort. A new lever design to adjust the pin depth is easier
to use and turn than the dial version. Components for the knee kicker are precision die-cast aluminum
alloy, with extra thick walls. The neck has been increased for more stability.
The 10-505 Knee Kicker adjusts from 17.75” to
21.75” in length to suit the user’s preference
and job requirements.
To adjust the kicker, press the steel button on
top of the body casting, and pull the bumper/
channel assembly to the desired setting. Test
the security by pulling back and forth on the
bumper.
The pin plate containing the large hardened
steel pins can be adjusted by lifting the lever
knob on the kicker head and rotating it into
position. The lever has 8 positions, and the
pins can be extended to 1/2 in. below the head
casting. Use the proper pin length suited to
the carpet weight you are installing. For lighter
carpeting, the nap strips are generally sufficient
to engage the material, and the pin plate can be
retracted to the full “up” position. Extend the
pins for heavy carpets with firm backing.
The new patent pending bumper is designed to reduce shock and injury to the knee. It has been infused
with gel and angled to fit the natural alignment of you knee. Do not continue to use a worn or damaged
bumper, as injury or discomfort could occur. Order a replacement bumper part number 10-505-200 from
your distributor.
1. Remove lint and carpet pile from the nap strips with a small screwdriver blade from time to time to
maintain the gripping strength of the nap strips.
2. Apply light, white grease to the channel occasionally to keep it lubricated.
REMOVE EXCESS GREASE with a clean cloth.
3. The polished aluminum finish will oxidize and become dull after a period of time. Use an aluminum
polishing compound to restore the original shiny surface. Be sure to remove all polish after you finish.
Wrapping your kicker in a towel when not in use will help preserve the finish and prevent damage.
4. Periodic tightening of the adjustable lever screw may be necessary. This screw can be easily accessed
beneath the removable red plug on the kicker dome.

INTRODUCTION
Le Coup de Genou 10-505 introduit de nombreux nouveaux concepts et caractéristiques pour améliorer sa
fiabilité et sa performance. Le premier coup de genou intégrant un pare-choc en gel qui diminue l’impact
aux genoux tout en transférant le maximum force aux goupilles. De plus, l’angle du pare-choc conforme
maintenant à l’angle naturel de votre genou pour augmenter le confort.
Le nouveau design de levier pour régler la profondeur des goupilles est plus facile à utiliser que le bouton
à tourner. Le coup de genou est doté de composants en aluminium moulé sous pression et de parois très
épaisses. Le cou est allongé pour plus de stabilité.
Le Coup de Genou 10-505 s’ajuste de 45 cm à
55 cm en longueur en fonction des préférences
individuelles de l’installateur et des conditions de
travail.
Pour le régler, appuyez sur le bouton en acier sur
la partie supérieure du corps, puis tirez le pare-
choc/l’assemblage de canal vers le réglage désiré.
Testez la sécurité du mécanisme en tirant le pare-
chocs en arrière et vers l’avant.
La plaque contenant les grandes goupilles en
acier trempé peuvent être réglés en soulevant le
pommeau du levier sur la tête du coup de genou
et en le tournant pour le mettre en place. Le
levier peut être réglé à 8 positions différentes
et les goupilles peuvent être étendues jusqu’à
½ po. en dessous de la tête moulée. Utilisez la
longueur de goupilles appropriée en fonction du
poids du tapis dont vous allez installer. Pour les
tapis plus légers, les griffes sont généralement
suffisantes pour tenir le matériel. La plaque peut
être rétracté jusqu’à la position rentrée. Étendez
les goupilles pour les tapis lourds avec des
endos fermes.
Le nouveau pare-choc en instance de brevet est conçu pour amortir l’impact aux genoux et réduire les
blessures. Il est injecté de gel avec un angle adapté à l’alignement naturel du genou. Ne continuez pas à
utiliser le pare-choc s’il est usé ou endommagé afin de prévenir les blessures ou l’inconfort. Commandez un
pare-choc de rechange numéro 10-505-200 auprès de votre distributeur.
1. Nettoyez occasionnellement les griffes pour enlever les peluches et les effilochages des moquettes à l’aide
d’un petit tournevis pour maintenir la force de prise des griffes.
2. Enduisez occasionnellement le canal d’une mince couche de graisse blanche pour qu’il soit bien lubrifié.
ESSUYEZ L’EXCÈS DE GRAISSE à l’aide d’un chiffon propre.
3. La finition en aluminium poli se rouillera et se ternira avec le temps. Utiliser un produit de polissage
pour restaurer la brillance originale de la surface. Veillez à nettoyer le produit de polissage après avoir
fini. Enveloppez votre coup de genou dans une serviette lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas pour prévenir la
détérioration du fini et éviter des dommages.
4. Resserrer régulièrement la vis du levier de réglage si nécessaire. Cette vis est facilement accessible sous
la fiche rouge démontable située sur le dôme du tendeur.

INTRODUCCIÓN
El tensador de rodilla 10-505, incorpora nuevos conceptos y características que mejoran su confiabilidad
y su desempeño. Éste es el primer tensador de rodilla que incorpora una almohadilla parachoques
con infusión de gel, lo cual reduce el impacto y a la vez transfiere la mayor fuerza hacia la cabeza
con los pernos. Adicionalmente, la almohadilla tiene un ángulo que se iguala al ángulo de su rodilla,
incrementando la comodidad. El nuevo diseño de la palanca para ajustar la profundidad de los pernos, es
más fácil de usar, que el dial para girar en la versión anterior. El tensador de rodilla está compuesto de
aleación de aluminio fundido, con las paredes más gruesas. Se le ha incrementado el cuello para obtener
una mayor estabilidad.
El tensador de rodilla 10-505 se ajusta entre
45 cm hasta 55 cm de largo, para ajustarse a
las preferencias del usuario y a los requisitos
del proyecto. Para ajustar el tensador, presione
el botón de acero que está en la parte superior
del cuerpo y jale desde el ensamblaje con la
almohadilla parachoques hasta lograr el largo
deseado. Revise si quedó bien ajustado, jalando y
empujando la almohadilla parachoques.
La placa para las clavijas contiene clavijas grandes
en acero endurecido, que pueden ser ajustadas
levantando la palanca de cambios en el cabezal
del tensador de rodilla y rotándola en la posición
deseada. La palanca tiene 8 posiciones, y podrá
extender los pernos hasta 13 mm debajo de la
carcasa de la cabeza. Utilice el largo del perno de
acuerdo al peso de la alfombra que está instalando.
Para las alfombras livianas las tiras de agarre
generalmente son suficientes para agarrar el
material y en ese caso podrá retractar los pernos
completamente en la posición hacia ‘’arriba’’.
Extienda los pernos para las alfombras pesadas
que tengan un respaldo firme.
La almohadilla parachoques está diseñada para reducir el impacto y las lesiones en la rodilla, tiene una patente
pendiente. Se le ha insertado gel y se le ha dado un diseño en ángulo para ajustarse naturalmente a la alineación
de su rodilla. No continúe utilizando una almohadilla parachoques que esté averiada, ya que podría causar una
lesión o incomodidad. Ordene una almohadilla de repuesto con el número 10-505-200.
1. Remueva la pelusa y los restos de alfombra que se encuentren en las tiras de agarre, utilizando la hoja de
un destornillador, para así mantener la fuerza de agarre de las tiras de agarre.
2. Ocasionalmente aplique grasa liviana en el canal para mantenerlo lubricado. ELIMINAR LA GRASA
SOBRANTE con un paño limpio.
3. El acabado de aluminio pulido se oxidará y se tornará opaco después de un periodo de tiempo. Utilice
un compuesto para pulir aluminio para reestablecer la superficie pulida. Asegúrese de remover todo el
pulidor después de terminar. Si envuelve el tensador de rodilla en una toalla cuando no lo esté utilizando,
le ayudará a preservar el acabado y prevendrá daños.
4. Podría ser necesario ajustar el tornillo ajustable de la palanca. Podrá localizar este tornillo debajo de la
clavija roja removible en el tensor de rodilla.
