Definizioni:
• Elemento: parte di un componente o di un sottosistema. Corde,cinghie, elementi di attacco, accessorie
linee di ancoraggio sono esempi di elementi.
• Ispezione: controllo visivo relativo allo stato dell’articolo per individuare evidenti danneggiamenti o
usure che possono alterarne l’utilizzo.
• Esame accurato: esame visivo effettuato da una persona competente al fine di individuare
danneggiamenti o usure che possono alterare l’utilizzo della protezione.
• Persona competente: persona designata, istruita correttamente, qualificata per conoscenza ed
esperienza pratica, che ha ricevuto le istruzioni necessarie per eseguire le prove e gli esami richiesti.

3) AVVERTEN E GENERALI
Il manuale deve essere custodito da persona responsabile allo scopo preposta, in un luogo idoneo,
affinché esso risulti sempre disponibile per la consultazione nel miglior stato di conservazione. In caso di
smarrimento o deterioramento, la documentazione dovrà essere prontamente sostituita scaricandola dal
sito del costruttore: www.roburitaly.com.

4) TEMPERATURE D’IMPIEGO
La temperatura d’impiego consentita è compresa tra –20 °C e +50 °C.
Al di fuori di questi valori l’articolo potrebbe subire delle deformazioni.
5) VITA E FREQUEN A DI UTILI O
L’accessorio lavora in perfetta efficienza fin quando restano invariate le sue caratteristiche geometriche e
fisiche.
Sostituire quindi la protezione quando si notano deformazioni, cricche o instabilità di accoppiamento.
6) CONDI IONI NON AMMESSE
Non è consentito utilizzare le protezioni nei seguenti casi:
• a temperature e condizioni diverse da quelle consentite;
• quando la direttrice delle forze non si sviluppa lungo l’asse principale,ma intervengo delle
componenti che possono determinare delle torsioni-deformazioni.
7) CONTROLLI PRELIMINARI
Esaminare la protezione prima della messa in servizio
1. Controllare l’integrità della protezione e in particolare che non vi siano tagli,
piegature, incisioni, abrasioni, incrinature o cricche, bave taglienti, usure provocate
dall’utilizzo o difetti dovuti a cattivo stoccaggio.
8) INSTALLA IONE - ISTRU IONI PER IL MONTAGGIO
L’utilizzo della protezione angolare è prevista della norma UNI EN 12195-2, paragrafi B.11 e B.16,
appendice B, a scopo di salvaguardare il nastri di tessuto piatto da eventuali usure/abrasioni dovuti a
spigoli taglienti.
L’utilizzo della protezione però non si limita solo a questa funzione, bensì contribuisce alla distribuzione
su di una superficie più ampia della forza esercitata dal sistema di ancoraggio.
Inoltre preserva il carico da eventuali deformazioni dovute alla pressione della cinghia.
La protezione deve essere frapposta tra la cinghia e lo spigolo del carico da vincolare ( es.figura 1).
Inserire il nastro di tessuto piatto nelle scanalature della protezione, (es. figura 2 )
Posizionare le protezioni sugli spigoli del carico (es. figura1).
Esercitare la trazione osservando i criteri previsti dalla norma UNI EN 12195-1

9) CONTROINDICA IONI D’USO
L’utilizzo dell’accessorio per scopi non previsti, il suo uso in condizioni estremamente pericolose e la
carenza di manutenzione possono comportare gravi situazioni di pericolo per l’incolumità delle
persone esposte e di danno per l’ambiente di lavoro, oltre che pregiudicare la funzionalità e la sicurezza
effettiva del prodotto. Le azioni di seguito citate, che, ovviamente, non possono coprire l’intero arco di
potenziali possibilità di “cattivo uso” dell’accessorio, costituiscono tuttavia quelle “ragionevolmente” più
prevedibili. Quindi:
• NON utilizzare l’accessorio per imbragature di sicurezza;
• NON utilizzare l’accessorio collegandolo ad apparecchiature di dimensioni, temperatura,
punto d’aggancio e forma non idonei alle sue caratteristiche;
• NON mettere in tensione apparecchiature che possono cambiare la loro configurazione
statica, il loro baricentro o lo stato chimico-fisico;
• NON utilizzare l’accessorio per il sollevamento o il trasporto di persone o animali.

10) IDONEITÀ ALL’UTILI O
L’utilizzatore deve eseguire, prima di iniziare a operare, la verifica della rispondenza funzionale e
prestazionale dell’accessorio installato per confermare l’idoneità all’impiego dell’intera installazione.
11) ISPE IONE E MANUTEN IONE
Comprende una serie di operazioni eseguite da personale competente istruito allo scopo, relative a
controlli ed esami accurati durante l’impiego.
Di seguito l’elenco dei controlli da effettuare con cadenze indicate nella tabella “Interventi di
manutenzione e controllo”.
• VISIVO: verificare l’assenza di difetti superficiali, quali cricche, incisioni, tagli o fessure,
abrasioni. Controllare la presenza di eventuali bave o spigoli taglienti che possono
danneggiare la cinghia.
• DEFORMAZIONE: verificare che l’accessorio non sia deformato.
12) DEMOLI IONE E ROTTAMA IONE DELL’ACCESSORIO
L’accessorio deve essere demolito mediante taglio, in modo tale che non possa più essere utilizzato, nel
caso presenti:
- una deformazione permanente rispetto alla misura originale;
- eventuali cricche, distorsioni ,se si riscontrano riduzioni di sezione rispetto alla misura originale,o
se sono presenti bave o spigoli taglienti non recuperabili.

Definitions:
• Part: part of either a component or a subsystem. Parts include ropes, straps, connecting parts,
accessories and anchorage lines.
• Inspection: visual testing of the state of the item, to check for clear damage or wear which may affect
its use.
• Accurate examination: visual inspection performed by a trained person to check for damage or wear
which may affect the use of the guard.
• Trained person: a designated, suitably trained person who has proper know-how and practical
expertise and has been given the instructions needed to perform any required tests and examinations.

3) GE ERAL WAR I GS
The manual should be stored by a trained person, in a suitable place, so that it can always be available for
consultation in the best state of preservation. If the documentation gets lost or damaged, it should be
promptly replaced by downloading it from the manufacturer’s website: www.roburitaly.com
This manual is the material and intellectual property of the manufacturer, who prohibits duplication,
whether in full or in part, for commercial purposes.
As regards the information provided in these operating instructions, BETA UTENSILI SPA will accept
no responsibility in the event of:
• any use of the accessories other than the uses under national safety and accident prevention
laws;
• mistaken choice or arrangement of the apparatus the accessories are going to be connected
to;
• failure to comply with, or properly follow, the operating instructions;
• changes to the accessories;
• misuse or failure to carry out routine maintenance jobs;
• use with noncompliant accessories.

4) OPERATI G TEMPERATURES
The permissible operating temperature ranges between –20 °C and + 0 °C.
The item might get deformed outside this range.
5) LIFE A D FREQUE CY OF USE
The accessory is perfectly serviceable as long as its geometric and physical characteristics remain
unchanged.
Hence the guard should be replaced in case of deformation, cracks or connecting instability.
6) O PERMISSIBLE CO DITIO S
The guards should not be used under the following circumstances:
• at any temperatures and conditions other than the permissible temperatures and conditions;
• when the force directrix does not develop along the main axis, and twisting/deformation
may result.
7) PRELIMI ARY TESTS
Examine the guard before operation.
• Check the state of the guard; in particular make sure that it is free from cuts, bends,
indentations, abrasions, cracks, sharp burrs, wear or defects resulting from improper
storage.
8) I STALLATIO – ASSEMBLY I STRUCTIO S
The angular guard should be used in accordance with UNI EN 1219 -2, sections B.11 and B.16,
Appendix B, to protect the flat slings from wear/abrasion resulting from sharp edges.
However, the guard can perform other functions as well: it helps distribute the force over a surface larger
than the force applied by the ratchet tie down.
Furthermore, it protects the load from getting deformed as the result of belt pressure.
The guard should be placed between the belt and the edge of the load to tie (figure 1).
Insert the flat sling into the grooves of the guard (figure 2).
Place the guards on the edges of the load (figure 1).
Exert traction in accordance with UNI EN 1219 -1.

9) O PERMISSIBLE USE
Using the accessory for any purposes other than the purposes it has been designed for, using it under
extremely dangerous conditions and performing poor maintenance may pose a severe hazard to the
safety of the people being exposed and cause severe damage to the working environment, while
affecting the actual serviceability and safety of the product. The precautions mentioned below, which,
obviously enough, cannot cover the whole spectrum of potential “misuses” of the accessory, should be
“reasonably” deemed to be the most common steps to take. Therefore:
• DO NOT use the accessory for safety slings;
• DO NOT connect the accessory to any apparatus which does not match its specifications in
terms of size, temperature, hook-up point and shape;
• DO NOT stretch any apparatus that may change its static configuration, centre of gravity or
chemical and physical state;
• DO NOT use the accessory to carry people or animals.

10) FIT ESS FOR USE
Before starting working, the user should test the installed accessory for serviceability and performance, to
prove the entire system is fit for use.
11) I SPECTIO A D MAI TE A CE
Inspections and maintenance jobs should be carried out by trained personnel, who should perform
accurate tests during operation.
Below is a list of tests to perform at such intervals as stated in the table “Maintenance jobs and
inspections”.
• VISUAL TEST: making sure that the accessory is free from surface defects, including
cracks, indentations, cuts, fissures and abrasions. Check the accessory for burrs or sharp
edges which may damage the belt.
• DEFORMATION TEST: making sure that the accessory has not got damaged.
12) SCRAPPI G ACCESSORY
The accessory should be scrapped by cutting, so that it can no longer be used, if:
- it is permanently worn compared to the original size;
- any cracks or distortions are shown, and/or the sections have become small compared to the
original size, or
- any burrs or sharp edges that cannot be recovered are found.
