3 simple steps towards diabetes control
1. Test
Insert a test strip into the
bolus advisor in the
direction of the arrow.
The system will turn on
automatically.
The ‘Apply Sample’
screen appears. The
bolus advisor is now
ready for monitoring.
Switch off the
meter & if present
remove and
discard white chip.
Insert the black
activation chip
from the vial.
Check the use by date on the
vial before use. Do not use test
strips past the use by date.
Once installed the black
chip does not need
to be replaced.
Use the Accu-Chek
Multiclix lancing device
to get a blood sample
(see overleaf).
Touch the blood drop
to the front edge of the
yellow window of the
test strip. When the test
strip has enough blood,
the ‘Analyzing’ screen
appears.
The result appears on the
display. Approximately 3
seconds later, the
detailed ‘bG Result’
screen appears. Remove
and discard the used
test strip.
2. Enter Carbohydrates
On the ‘bG Result’
screen you can add
information about the
Meal Time, planned
food intake or your
state of health.

3. Receive bolus advice
The bolus amount is
displayed on the screen.
Inject the recommended
bolus using an insulin
pen or syringe.
Select ‘OK’ by
pressing button
shown to go to
the Main Menu.
When you open a new vial of strips
Press button
shown to get
to the ‘Bolus
Advice’ screen.
Confirm the entries
by pressing ‘Confirm’.
To enter Carbs:
Select the Carbs entry field and
press the ‘enter’ button (shown).
Set the number of carbs and press
the ‘enter’ button again.

Easy everyday use
PRESS to prime
Press priming
button down like
a ballpoint pen.
The transparent
release button will
become yellow.

CLICK to prick
Press lancing device
against side of fingertip
and press (yellow)
release button.

TWIST & BACK for next lancet
Turn priming button in
direction of arrow as far
as it will go, and turn
back again.
The number in the
display shows how many
lancets are left. It is
recommended to always
use a new lancet.

To load/change drum
Remove cap.
Insert new drum with
blue ring end first
(contains 6 lancets).
Snap drum into place.
Replace cap.
When number 1
appears in display, the
last lancet is in use.
Once used remove cap.
Remove used drum
(has red stripe).
Used drums cannot be
re-inserted, and can be
safely disposed of in
household waste.
Set penetration depth
Select appropriate depth
of penetration by turning
dial. 0.5 is the lowest
setting, 5.5 is the highest.
With Accu-Chek Multiclix,
CHANGE DRUM EVERY 6 LANCETS.
