SPECIAL SAFEGUARDS
•READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
•Close supervision is necessary when and appliance near children.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
•This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
GENERAL SAFEGUARDS
•Take special care when preparing food for babies, the elderly and infirm.
Always ensure that the hand-held blender’s shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use
a sterilizing solution in accordance with the sterilizing solution manufacturer’s
instructions.
•Never touch the blades while the machine’s plugged in.
•Keep fingers, hair, clothing, and utensils away from moving parts.
•Unplug after use and before changing attachments.
•Never blend hot oil or fat.
•Don't let children or infirm people use the hand blender without supervision.
•Never use a damaged hand-held blender, Get it checked or repaired in your
local place.
•Never put the power handle in water or let the cord or plug get wet-you could
get an electric shock.
•Never let the cord touch hot surfaces or hand down where a child grabs it.
•Never use an unauthorized attachment.
•Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with this
appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
•With heavy mixtures, don’t use your hand blender for longer than 50 seconds
in any four minutes period-it’ll overheat.

HOW TO USE
Setting the speed
For saucepan blending
Caution: Take the pan off the heat and let it cool slightly, otherwise your hand-
held blender could overheat.
1. Fit the power handle inside the blender shaft, turn and lock
2. Plug in. To avoid splashing, place the blade in the food before switching on.
3. Hold the beaker steady. Then press either speed button. Don't let liquid get
above the join between the power handle and blender shaft. Move the blade
through the food and use a stabbing action. If your blender gets blocked,
unplug before clearing
4. After use, unplug and dismantle.
! Warning:
•Always disconnect the blender from the supply if it is left unattended and
before assembling, disassembling or cleaning;
•Do not allow children to use the blender without supervision.

CLEANING AND CARE
•Always switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing
accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
•Don’t touch the sharp blades.
•Take special care when preparing food for babies, the elderly and infirm.
Always ensure that the hand-held blender shaft is thoroughly sterilized. Use a
sterilizing solution in accordance with the sterilizing solution manufacturer’s
instructions.
•Some foods, e.g. carrot, may discolour the plastic. Rubbing with a cloth
dipped vegetable oil help remove discolouring.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN
ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a
dealer providing this service.
Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environment and health, deriving form inappropriate disposal
and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in
energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances
separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
