never bend the antenna cable
Always loosely coil up extra antenna
cable. Never bend or pinch the antenna
cable. When routing antenna cables
around the dash do not force the cable
between the panels. Check for pinch
points or sharp brackets behind the dash
that may rip or damage the cable.
antenna mounting
When mounting the antenna, make sure
the FLAT side of the antenna has a clear
view of the sky. We recommend mounting
the antenna on the windshield.

power (ahead of kill switch if
applicable)?
⸋Is the yellow wire connected to ignition
power?
⸋Did you adjust the camera angle?

with zip ties?

DV440 RECORDERS SHOULD BE
INSTALLED WITH SAFETY IN MIND
• Make sure all wiring and harnesses are
zip tied to factory wiring or brackets.
• Make sure wires are away from all
steering functions and will not cause a
distraction to the driver.
• When routing cables in the vehicle
A-Pillar use extreme caution in the
vicinity of the airbag. NEVER zip tie
or wrap around the airbag or airbag
harness.
DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WIRING
AFTER THE INSTALLATION!
RED = CONSTANT
YELLOW = IGNITION
RECORDER MOUNTING
VHB Tape should only be applied
when windshield temperature is within
50°F-100°F (10°C-38°C) to allow proper
curing of mounting adhesive pads
VHB Mounting Tips
Never use alcohol or alcohol-based
cleaner!
• Wipe the windshield clean and apply
Primer to the windshield & the Bracket.
• Only apply the VHB tape marked
PERMANENT and apply pressure for
30 seconds.
• VHB tape will cure in 30 Minutes.
Do not apply recorder to the windshield
until VHB tape is cured (30 Minutes).
