Diese Gebrauchsanleitung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf die genannten
Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
zu Handhabung, Sicherheit und Gewährleistung. Die Anleitung, insbesondere die
Sicherheitshinweise, sorgfältig durchlesen, bevor die Rothewald Zündkerzen-
Stecknüsse verwendet werden. Die Nichtbeachtung kann zu Schäden am
Fahrzeug und Folgeschäden führen. Die Anleitung für die weitere Nutzung auf-
bewahren. Wenn die Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse an Dritte
weitergeben werden, unbedingt diese Anleitung mitgeben.
Die Gebrauchsanleitung basiert auf den in der Europäischen Union gültigen Nor-
men und Regeln und spiegelt den aktuellen Stand der Technik wider. Im Ausland

Die folgenden Symbole und Signalwörter werden in dieser Anleitung verwendet.
3 | Sicherheit
3.1 | Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse sind Werkzeuge zum
Festziehen von Zündkerzen mit festgelegtem Anzugsmoment. Wird das
Anzugsmoment erreicht, signalisiert das Werkzeug dies durch ein deutlich
hörbares Knack-Geräusch.
Das Anzugsmoment garantiert, dass die Zündkerze entsprechend der
Belastbarkeit ihres Werkstoffs und des Gewindes angezogen wird. Die gültigen
Anzugsmomente für das entsprechende Fahrzeug sind einer Wartungs- und
Montageanleitung zu besagten Fahrzeug zu entnehmen. Die Rothewald
Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse dürfen nur verwendet werden, wenn sie
dem jeweiligen Wert entsprechen.
Das Set beinhaltet folgende Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse:
18 mm = max. 21 Nm
21 mm = max. 25 Nm
Adapter von 3/8 auf 1/2 Zoll Antrieb

Die Angaben in der Fahrzeug-Bedienungsanleitung sowie die Vorgaben des
Fahrzeugherstellers sind unbedingt zu beachten. Dies ist notwendig, da durch
die nicht sach- und typgerechte Verwendung dieses Produktes die Fahrsicherheit
und/oder die Beschaffenheit des Fahrzeuges beeinträchtigt werden können.
Die Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse dürfen nur wie in
dieser Anleitung beschrieben verwendet werden. Jede andere Verwendung
gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und kann zu Sachschäden führen. Der
Hersteller oder Händler übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden, die durch nicht
bestimmungsgemäßen oder falschen Gebrauch entstanden sind.
3.2 | Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG!
Gefahren für Kinder und Personen mit verringerten physi-
schen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten (beispielswei-
se teilweise Behinderte, ältere Personen mit Einschränkung
ihrer physischen und mentalen Fähigkeiten) oder Mangel an
Erfahrung und Wissen im Umgang mit Motorrädern (beispiels-
weise ältere Kinder)!
• Zum Lieferumfang gehörende Verpackungsfolie von Kindern
fernhalten, da Erstickungsgefahr besteht.
• Die Verwendung der Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-
Stecknüsse setzt Fachkenntnisse im Kfz-Handwerk voraus.
HINWEIS!
Beschädigungsgefahr
• Mit falschem Anzugsmoment angezogene Zündkerzen
können das Gewinde beschädigen und im Extremfall
ausreißen, was eine teure Reparatur nach sich zieht. Stets
prüfen, welches Anzugsmoment der Fahrzeughersteller für
die Zündkerzen des Fahrzeugs vorsieht.
• Wenn der Eindruck entsteht, dass die Zündkerze beim
Festziehen dem Anzugsmoment nicht Stand hält, sich
„weich“ anfühlt o.ä., sofort aufhören, diese weiter anzuziehen.
Vermutlich ist das Gewinde defekt. Die Komponenten
überprüfen, bevor das Gewinde abreißt und die Zündkerze
ggf. nur noch schwer zu demontieren ist.
• Die Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse nicht

zum Lösen von Zündkerzen verwenden, dies kann die
Genauigkeit der Zündkerzen-Stecknuss beeinträchtigen bzw.
sie beschädigen.
• Bei noch ungeübten Umgang mit dem Werkzeug sollte man
sich zunächst einmal mit dem Auslöseverhalten vertraut
machen.
4 | Anwendung
Die Zündkerze von Hand mit Hilfe der passenden Zündkerzen-Stecknuss vor-
sichtig in das Zündkerzengewinde des Motors eindrehen. Eine Ratsche mit 3/8
Zoll Antrieb oder mit 1/2 Zoll Antrieb plus Adapter wählen und auf die Zündker-
zen-Stecknuss aufsetzen. Die Zündkerze nun mit ruhigem, kontinuierlichem Zug
festziehen, bis der Mechanismus auslöst und das Knack-Geräusch ertönt. Dann
keinesfalls weiterdrehen, das voreingestellte Anzugsmoment ist erreicht, die
Zündkerze ist festgezogen.
HINWEIS!
Möglichst keine Ratschen-Gelenke verwenden, da sie den
Drehmomentwert verändern könnten.
5 | Lagerung
Die Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse werden sorgsam in der
mitgelieferten Aufbewahrungsbox, bei einer relativen Luftfeuchtigkeit von
max. 70
% (nicht kondensierend) gelagert.
6 | Reinigung und Pege
Die Rothewald Drehmoment Zündkerzen-Stecknüsse dürfen zum Reinigen nicht
zerlegt und nicht in eine Reinigungslösung eingetaucht werden. Man reinigt
sie mit einem Tuch und ggf. etwas Feinöl für die Metallteile. Äußere Metallteile
können auch mit einem Kfz-Polier- oder Konservierungswachs gegen Korrosion
geschützt werden.

7 | Gewährleistung
Für das vorliegende Produkt gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistung von zwei Jahren.
Der Gewährleistungszeitraum beginnt ab dem Kaufdatum. Gebrauchsspuren,
Zweckentfremdung, nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch und Schäden, die aus
einem Unfall, einer Manipulation oder einem Reparaturversuch durch unautori-
sierte Kundendienste oder Personen resultieren, sind von der Gewährleistung
ausgeschlossen.

Verpackungsmaterial sowie das Produkt selbst, sind gemäß den
regionalen behördlichen Bestimmungen zu entsorgen.

These instructions apply exclusively to the aforementioned Rothewald Torque
spark plug sockets release signal. They contain important information on
handling, safety and warranty. Read these instructions carefully, in particular
the safety instructions, before using the Rothewald Spark Plug Sockets. Failure
to follow these instructions can cause damage to the vehicle and result in
consequential damage. Keep these instructions for future reference. If you pass
the Rothewald Spark Plug Sockets on to a third party, you must also hand over
these instructions.

The following symbols and signal words are used in these instructions.

3.1 | Intended use
The Rothewald Torque spark plug sockets release signal are tools for tightening
noise to signal when the tightening torque has been achieved.
The tightening torque guarantees that the spark plug is tightened in accordance
with the durability of its material and the thread. Refer to maintenance and
installation instructions for the respective vehicle for the applicable tightening
torque values for said vehicle. The Rothewald Torque spark plug sockets release
signal must only be used if they match the respective value.
The set contains the following Rothewald Torque spark plug sockets release
signal:

The Rothewald Torque spark plug sockets release signal must only be used as
described in these instructions. Any other use is considered improper use and
may result in material damage. The manufacturer and supplier accept no liability
for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
3.2 | Safety instructions

elderly persons with limited physical and mental abilities) or
lack of experience and knowledge of handling motorcycles

IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage
• Spark plugs tightened with the incorrect tightening torque
can damage the thread and, in extreme cases, can break off,
resulting in expensive repairs. Always check which tightening
of the vehicle.
• If during the tightening process it appears that a spark plug is
unable to withstand the tightening torque or it feels "soft" or
similar, stop tightening it immediately. The thread is probably
faulty. Check the components before the thread breaks off

effect on the accuracy of the spark plug socket or damage it.

4 | How to use
Carefully screw the spark plug into the spark plug thread on the engine by hand,
using the appropriate spark plug socket. Select a ratchet with 3/8" or 1/2" drive
plus adapter and place it on the spark plug socket. Now tighten the spark plug
with smooth, continuous traction until the mechanism is triggered and the
cracking noise can be heard. At this point, you must not under any circumstances
continue turning. The preset tightening torque has been achieved and the spark
plug has been tightened.
IMPORTANT!
If possible, do not use ratchet joints as they could alter the
torque value.
5 | Storage
Store the Rothewald Spark Plug Sockets with torque release signal carefully in
the supplied storage box, at a relative air humidity of max. 70% (non-condensing).
6 | Cleaning and care
The Rothewald Spark Plug Sockets with torque release signal must not be
dismantled and must not be immersed in cleaning solution for cleaning
the metal parts. External metal parts can also be protected against corrosion
with a car-polishing wax or preservative wax.
7 | Warranty
This product comes with the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use for
anything other than the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident,
tampering or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons or customer service
departments.

Dispose of packaging material and the product itself according to
applicable local regulations.
