RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
WARNING
When using battery operated tools, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of fire, leaking batteries and personal
injury, including the following: Read all these
instructions before operating this product and
save these instructions.
■Know your spotlight. Read user’s manual carefully.
Learn its applications and limitations as well as the
specific potential hazards related to this spotlight.
■Use only with recommended battery pack
and charger. Any attempt to use another battery
pack will cause damage to your light and could
possibly explode, cause a fire, or personal injury.
■Remove battery pack from spotlight before
replacing bulb or performing any routine
maintenance or cleaning.
■Do not disassemble your spotlight.
■Do not place spotlight or battery pack near fire
or heat. This will reduce the risk of explosion and
possibly injury.
■Do not dispose of a worn out battery pack by
incinerating. Do not incinerate the battery,
even if it is severely damaged or completely worn out.
The battery may explode in fire
■Do not store your spotlight in a damp or
wet location. Also, do not store in location
where the temperature may reach or exceed
40°C (104°F). For example, outside sheds, vehicles,
or metal buildings in the summer.
■Do not permit children to use spotlight
unsupervised. It is not a toy. The temperature of the
bulb can become hot after being on for an extended
period of time. This hot temperature may cause burn
injury if touched.
■Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches
invite accidents.
■Avoid dangerous environments.
■Keep light dry, clean, and free from oil and
grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning.
Never use brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
products or any strong solvent to clean your light.
■Stay alert. Watch what you are doing and use
common sense. Do not rush.
■Check damaged parts. Before further use of this
light, a part that is damaged should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Do not use spotlight if it
does not function properly.
■Have your light repaired by a qualified person.
This tool is in accordance with the relevant safety
requirements. Repairs should only be carried out by
qualified person using original spare parts, otherwise
this may result in considerable danger to the user.
WARNING
Do not operate spotlight or charger near
flammable liquids or in gaseous or explosive
atmosphere. Internal sparks may ignite fumes.
WARNING
Lens and bulb become hot during use.
During or immediately after use, don't lay
spotlight flat on lens surface.
Handle spotlight with care around any flammable
surface.
If bulb has been lit, let spotlight cool for several
minutes before changing bulb.
Do not use or permit use of spotlight in bed or
sleeping bags. A burn injury could result.
■Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an
electrical outlet; therefore, they are always in
operating condition. Be aware of possible hazards
when not using your battery tool or when changing
accessories. Following this rule will reduce the risk of
electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.
■If under abusive conditions, liquid is ejected
from the battery, avoid contact. If this accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes
additionally, seek medical help. This will reduce the
risk of explosion and possibly injury.
■Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently
and use them to instruct others who may use this
tool. If you loan someone this tool, loan them these
instructions also to prevent misuse of the product and
possible injury.

OPERATION
TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK
See Figures 1 - 2.
■Leave the switch trigger in the OFF position.
■Place the battery pack in the spotlight.
■Make sure the latches on each side of the battery
pack snap in place and that battery pack is secured in
the spotlight before beginning operation.
TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK
See Figures 1 - 2.
■Leave the switch trigger in the OFF position.
■Locate latches on side of battery pack and depress
both sides to release battery pack.
■Remove battery pack from the spotlight.
WARNING:
Battery tools are always in operating condition.
Therefore, switch should always be in the OFF
position when not in use or carrying at your side.
SWITCH TRIGGER
See Figure 1.
To turn the spotlight ON, depress and hold the switch
trigger. To turn it OFF, release the switch trigger.
LOCK-ON BUTTON
See Figure 1.
The spotlight is equipped with a lock-on feature, which
is convenient for continuous use for extended periods
of time.
To lock-on:
■Depress the switch trigger.
■Push in and hold the lock-on button, located on the
side of the handle.
■Release the switch trigger.
■Release the lock-on button.
■To release the lock, depress and release the switch
trigger.
REPLACING BULBS
See Figures 3 - 5.
Over time, the bulb will burn out. When this occurs,
replacing the bulb will be necessary. Be careful not to
touch the bulb glass. This will reduce the life of the bulb.
To replace a bulb:
■Remove battery from the spotlight and let it cool for at
least 5 minutes.
■Turn the bezel counterclockwise to remove.
■Remove the reflector assembly from the spotlight
housing. Do not pull on the leads connected to the
assembly.
■Remove the white connection point from its nest in
the housing.
■Remove the white connection terminal from its
connection point.
NOTE: Do not pull white lead without holding the
connection point, as this may damage lead.
■Remove the retainer pin from the reflector and
remove bulb assembly.
NOTE: When purchasing replacement bulb, request
to RYOBI after-sales service for recommended part
number 019020001007. Always use bulb with same

characteristics and size.
REPLACEMENT FUSE
See Figure 6.
If the spotlight blows its fuse, you will need to replace it.
Look for replacement fuses where you purchased this
product.
■Remove the battery pack from the spotlight to access
fuse housing.
■Remove the current fuse and discard. Use a pair of
fuse pullers if necessary.
NOTE: When purchasing replacement fuse, request
to RYOBI after-sales service for recommended part
number 019020001013. Always use fuse with same
characteristics and size
MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
When servicing, use only identical replacement
parts. Use of any other parts may create a
hazard or cause product damage.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personnel injury, always remove
the battery pack from the product when cleaning
or performing any maintenance.
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline,
petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc.,
come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may
result in serious personal injury.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as
waste. The machine, accessories and
packaging should be sorted for en-vironmental-
friendly recycling.
