BEFORE YOU START
You will rst need to connect your watch to your PC or Mac. You do not need additional
drivers to do this - your PC may install standard drivers when it rst connects. is is
normal.
On the le side of your watch, remove the center knob. e USB port is here. Plug one end
of the included USB cable into the port on your watch. is should go all the way into the
watch. en, connect the other end to a USB port on your PC. Please do not use a hub.
In a few moments, your PC will automatically nd and install your watch. Your watch will
appear as an External Device or Removable Disk.
is is how you will access your video, photo and audio les to save them to your PC. is
is also how you charge your watch.
Charging the rst time may take several hours. You may access your les during charging.

You will need to download a le to set the timestamp for your recordings. Go to the
product page at www.safetybasement.com. Look for the Red TECH SUPPORT tab. You
will nd the latest manual and the time.txt le.
Right-click on the TIME.TXT le and choose SAVE LINK AS.
You are going to SAVE the TIME.TXT le to your watch. See photo for proper location.
Do not change the le name, it must be TIME.TXT.

You will now set the correct time in the time.txt le.
DOUBLE-CLICK (le button) on the TIME.TXT le on your watch.
A text editor window will appear. Please adjust the year, month, day, hours, minutes and
seconds to the proper time. Please note the punctuation must remain, and there is a space
between the date and time. Also note the use of a 24 hour clock.
For May 31, 2013 at 1:15pm, it would appear like this:
2013.05.31 13:15:00
When complete, SAVE this le and exit your text editor.
You must start your watch for this time to be set.
EJECT the watch from your PC as you would any external device.
Remove the USB cable from the PC.
Remove the USB cable from the watch.
Press the B button. e red status light will appear, blink one, then remain steady. Your
timestamp is now set. You can test this by taking a photo or video, and reviewing it on
your PC.
If the timestamp is not correct, please redo the steps in this section of the manual.
NOTE: When done correctly, the time.txt le on your watch will be automatically erased.
If it’s still on your watch, please review the formatting of your timestamp.

RECORDING VIDEO
• POWER ON - Press the B button. e red status light will appear, blink once, then
remain steady. You are now in Stand By Mode.
• To record video, from Stand By Mode, press the B button. e red status light will blink
once, then go dark. You are now recording video.
• NOTE: when facing you, as shown above, the camera will record UPSIDE-DOWN.
Turn your wrist to face the camera towards your subject. e camera should be located
at the top when your wrist is turned. is position will record the image properly.
• To stop recording, press the B button again. e red status light will appear steady. You
are back in Stand By Mode.
• To turn o your watch, HOLD the B button until the status light goes dark.

Note: If you need to RESET your watch, just press the A and B buttons at the same time.
Your watch will reset and turn OFF.

RECORDING AUDIO ONLY
• POWER ON - Press the B button. e red status light will appear, blink once, then
remain steady. You are now in Stand By Mode.
• To record audio only, from Stand By Mode, HOLD the A button. e red status light
will blink quickly 2 times then go dark. You are now recording audio only.
• To stop recording, press the A button again. e red status light will appear steady. You
are back in Stand By Mode.
• To turn o your watch, HOLD the B button until the status light goes dark.

TAKING PHOTOS
• POWER ON - Press the B button. e red status light will appear, blink once, then
remain steady. You are now in Stand By Mode.
• To take a photo, from Stand By Mode, press the A button. e red status light will blink,
then stay steady. You just took a picture.
• NOTE: you should turn your wrist into the proper postion, aim and then press the
button.
• To turn o your watch, HOLD the B button until the status light goes dark.

RETRIEVING YOUR FILES
To view your videos and photos, and to listen to your audio recordings, you will need to
copy them to your PC rst.
Make sure your watch is OFF. en connect the USB cable to it as noted earlier in the
manual. Connect the other end to your PC. Aer a few moments, you can access the les on
your watch.
Please COPY your les to your PC for best playback.

You may go into the folders noted above to view and copy your les.
You may also delete les from these folders.
NOTE: Mac users must empty their trash before disconnecting your watch aer deleting
les.

MP3 PLAYBACK
Your watch can also play MP3 les when using the included earbuds.
You will rst need to add MP3 les to the correct folder in the watch le directory.
MP3 Files Go Here
• Plug your earbuds into the USB port on the le side of the watch.
• Press the B button quickly. In a few moments, your music will begin to play.
• HOLD the B button to make the volume louder. Hold the A button to make it soer.
• Press the A or B button quickly to move to the next and previous les.
• Remove the earbuds to return your watch to RECORDING mode. Hold the B button to
turn o your watch.
• Note: Only MP3 les in the Audio folder are available for playback.

like yours. However, if you are having problems playing your les, or need more options, please
download and try these programs.

particular virus scanner. While most users report no issues using this soware, we can not be

Movie Maker is a simple video editing program from Microso. Please go
to this link, and choose the download for your version of Windows. Please
