• Remove and safely discard any packaging
materials before rst use.
• This appliance is for household use only.
Do not use the appliance for anything other
than its intended use. Do not use in moving
vehicles or boats. Do not use outdoors.
Misuse may cause injury.
• Do not operate on or near a heat source
such as a hot plate, oven or gas hob.
• Vibration during operation may cause
the appliance to move.

• Always ensure the appliance is turned
o and has been allowed to cool before
cleaning, removing or replacing batteries,
attempting to move, or storing.
• Always turn the appliance to the o position
when not in use.
• Do not use the appliance if it becomes
damaged in any way. If damaged and
maintenance other than cleaning is required
please contact Sage®Customer Service or
go to sageappliances.com
• Any maintenance other than cleaning
should be performed by an authorised
Sage®service centre
• Children should not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning of the appliance should not
be carried out by children unless they
are 8 years or older and supervised.

• The appliance should be kept out of reach
of children aged 8 years and younger.
• To protect against electric shock, do
not immerse the appliance in water
or any liquid.
• Always ensure the appliance is properly
assembled and suitable batteries are
inserted correctly before use.The appliance
will not operate unless properly assembled
with suitable batteries. Batteries are to be
inserted
with the correct polarity.
• Use 4 x AA (1.5V alkaline) batteries only.
No rechargeable batteries.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be
recharged.
• Always remove the battery if the Vacuum
Pump will not be used for six (6) months

or longer.
• Batteries can contain ammable
substances, and if handled improperly may
leak, heat up, ignite or explode.
• Do not put batteries in or near re,
do not short-circuit them, and do not
take them apart.
• Do not dismantle, open or shred secondary
cells or batteries.
• Remove exhausted batteries immediately
from the device, as they have an increased
risk of leakage.
• Dierent types of batteries or new and used
batteries are not to be mixed.
• Do not use the appliance on a sink
drain board.
• Keep hands, ngers, hair, clothing as well
as spatulas and other utensils away from

moving or rotating parts during operation.
• Do not use the appliance for anything other
than food and/or beverage preparation.
• Carefully read all instructions before
operation and save for future reference.
• The appliance can be used by persons
with reduced physical or mental capabilities
or a lack of experience and knowledge,
only if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
• Do not blend any ingredients while the
Vacuum Pump is operating.
• Always apply vacuum before blending.
• Do not blend without having the vacuum
valve assembled.
• Do not place anything on top of the Vacuum

Pump when stored.
• The Vacuum Pump is only intended
for use with Sage®blenders which
come with a Vacuum Blend Lid.
The symbol shown indicates that this
appliance should not be disposed of in
normal household waste. It should be
taken to a local authority waste collection
centre designated for this purpose or to a
dealer providing this service. For more
information, please contact your local council
oce. Please dispose of batteries in an
environmentally friendly manner. Do not throw
batteries into normal household waste. Please
use the return and collection systems in your
community or contact the retailer where you
purchased the product.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove and safely discard any packaging
material or promotional labels before using
the attachment for the rst time.
1. Open the battery compartment cover
by twisting the Vacuum Pump housing
to the right side while holding the
Vacuum Pump Base.
2. Insert the batteries correctly
and press rmly to click into position.
3. Replace the Vacuum Pump Housing.
